I too am from Montreal, and I too went to school with Jason. He really was a wonderful as you say he was, with no exaggerations or embellishments. He will always be missed by those who knew him, and now by those who remember him. As Rifki said, May we never know such sadness or loss, and may HKB"H elevate his soul, and may his memory continue to be blessed "l'adai ad".

Because of his courage, history was changed and we were brought one step further to our final redemption.

Edwin - Arabs

I don't hear Zemer saying not to judge people as individuals, and she is certainly not saying to hate anyone. What she has said about Arab culture is true. It is brutal in many ways. People are exposed to a great deal of harshness. Read what Brigitte Gabriel, the Lebanese Christian woman who escaped to Israel writes. She wrote that she never experienced kindness and love before she came to Israel. On the other hand, we Jews have a culture that is sometimes overly analytical and always seeks to argue for the "other side". Everyone has to have his or her say, no matter how trivial. The difference between you and Zemer, Dan, is that you argue from an ideology of what is "permitted" to be said. Zemer simply wrote what is true. You said Jewish children can also be violent, but we all know the difference between Jewish and Arab societies. We also do not produce thousands of people who stab in the back and explode bombs in kindergartens, or do you know Jews like that too?
