</div>

<p>There is something beautiful about making a favorite family recipe that has been passed down through generations. Memories in the kitchen are priceless and a recipe can bring all of those good feelings back. One of my very favorite thing I remember my grandma making when I was a child and until the end of her life was her tapioca pudding. I can smell it when I think about it and it was such a comfort food that my siblings and I cherished. She has since passed and we make her tapioca every year on her birthday. It&#8217;s a special tradition.</p>

<p>I wanted to share a way to honor that history and keep those recipes alive in a beautiful, decorative way that would also be a great Mother&#8217;s Day gift. </p>

<p>Today, I’m showing you how to make a DIY Heritage Recipe Block and it&#8217;s the easiest way to transform an old recipe into priceless kitchen decor. This project is inexpensive, sentimental, and best of all, can be completed in about 30 minutes!</p>

<p>Grab your Mod Podge and your printed recipe and let’s create something special for Mom or Grandma.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Supplies</strong></h3>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>An Original or Printed Recipe Card:</strong> The real star of the show. <em>(Tip: If you don&#8217;t have an original, type it out in a beautiful script font and use the same steps!)</em></li>

<li><strong>Wooden Block:</strong> You can use 4&#215;6 or 5&#215;7 scraps from your garage (just sand the edges!), or buy pre-cut wooden plaques or blocks from the craft store.</li>

<li><strong>Matte Mod Podge:</strong> This is my go-to for a clean, non-shiny finish that feels professional.</li>

<li><strong>Foam Brush:</strong> For smooth, even coats.</li>

<li><strong>Acrylic Paint or Stain:</strong> For painting or staining the edges of the block. </li>

<li><strong>Sandpaper </strong>(optional): To distress the edges.</li>

<li><strong>Clear Spray Sealant</strong> (optional): For extra protection against kitchen splashes.</li>
</ul>

<p class="has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size"><strong>DIY Heritage Recipe Block</strong></p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Step 1: Prep Your Recipe Card</strong></h4>

<p>Start by choosing a recipe you want to preserve. I used my grandma’s tapioca pudding recipe, which made this project feel especially meaningful. You can use a handwritten card if you have one, or type the recipe and print it in a vintage-inspired style.</p>

<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Step 2: Prep the Wooden Block</strong></h4>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img decoding="async" width="467" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Heritage-Recipe-Block-Tutorial-467x700.png" alt="DIY Heritage Recipe Block Tutorial for Mother's Day" class="wp-image-18630" style="width:467px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Heritage-Recipe-Block-Tutorial-467x700.png 467w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Heritage-Recipe-Block-Tutorial-200x300.png 200w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Heritage-Recipe-Block-Tutorial-768x1152.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Heritage-Recipe-Block-Tutorial-371x557.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Heritage-Recipe-Block-Tutorial.png 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Cut your wood block to the size you want and sand the surface until it feels smooth. If you’d like an aged or rustic look, you can lightly stain the wood before adding the recipe. Let it dry completely.</p>

<p>Print your recipe on cream or vintage-style paper, then trim it to fit your block. To give it an heirloom look, gently distress the edges with brown ink or lightly rub the edges with sandpaper.</p>

<p><strong>Step 3: Apply the Recipe with Mod Podge</strong></p>

<p>Brush a thin, even layer of Mod Podge onto the front of the wood block. Carefully place the recipe on top and smooth it out with your hands so there are no bubbles or wrinkles. Let it dry.</p>

<p><strong>Step 3: Apply Sealer and Distress</strong></p>

<p>Once the paper is dry and attached well, brush a light coat of Mod Podge over the top to seal it. If you want an even more worn, vintage finish, you can lightly sand the edges again after it dries.</p>

<p>Let everything dry completely before displaying your recipe block in the kitchen, on a shelf, or as part of a Mother’s Day gift.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img fetchpriority="high" decoding="async" width="560" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Grandmas-tapioca-pudding-1-560x700.png" alt="DIY Heritage Recipe Block Tutorial for Mother's Day" class="wp-image-18628" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Grandmas-tapioca-pudding-1-560x700.png 560w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Grandmas-tapioca-pudding-1-240x300.png 240w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Grandmas-tapioca-pudding-1-768x960.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Grandmas-tapioca-pudding-1-371x464.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Grandmas-tapioca-pudding-1.png 1080w" sizes="(max-width: 560px) 100vw, 560px" /></figure>
</div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">A Meaningful Mother’s Day Gift</h3>

<p>I love how this project turns a meaningful recipe into something you can actually see and enjoy every day. It would make such a thoughtful gift for a mom, grandma, sister, or daughter. </p>

<p><em>TIP: You could even pair it with measuring spoons, a favorite baking dish, or the ingredients to make the recipe for an extra sweet Mother’s Day gift.</em></p>

<p>Happy Creating!</p>

<p>If you’re looking for a meaningful way to celebrate Easter, a resurrection garden is such a beautiful project to make at home. It’s simple, symbolic, and lovely enough to display all through Holy Week and Easter Sunday.</p>

<p>This Christ-centered Easter project uses natural materials like moss, stones, twigs, and soil to create a small garden scene that represents the empty tomb. It’s an easy hands-on activity for families, and it’s also a thoughtful way to keep the focus on Jesus during the Easter season.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="467" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-467x700.png" alt="Finished resurrection garden in a terracotta dish with a clay pot tomb, moss, pebble path, three twig crosses, stone, and white Christus statue" class="wp-image-18617" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-467x700.png 467w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-200x300.png 200w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-768x1152.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-371x557.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden.png 800w" sizes="(max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>We love projects that are both beautiful and meaningful, and this one is exactly that. Whether you make it on your own, create one with your children, or use it as a centerpiece for your Easter table, a resurrection garden is a sweet reminder of the hope and joy of Easter morning.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">What Is a Resurrection Garden?</h2>

<p>A resurrection garden is a small Easter display that represents the story of Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection. Most resurrection gardens include a tomb, a stone rolled away from the opening, and three crosses on a small hill.</p>

<p>It’s such a simple visual, but it carries a powerful message.</p>

<p>This little garden can be used as a family activity, a teaching tool for kids, or a meaningful piece of Easter decor in your home. I especially love that it combines hands-on creating with a reminder of the true meaning of Easter.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Supplies</h2>

<li>hot glue or twine</li>

<li>optional mini Christus statue (3 inch)</li>

<li>optional mini flowers, greenery, or succulents</li>

<li>optional small flag or scripture tag</li>
</ul>

<p>You can make your resurrection garden rustic and natural, or style it a little more neatly for a softer spring look!</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size"><strong>How to Make a Resurrection Garden</strong></h2>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">1. Fill your container with soil</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="529" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Step2-garden-700x529.png" alt="Terracotta saucer filled with potting soil for the first step of making a resurrection garden" class="wp-image-18614" style="width:444px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Step2-garden-700x529.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Step2-garden-300x227.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Step2-garden-768x581.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Step2-garden-371x280.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Step2-garden.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Start by filling your shallow planter or tray with potting soil. Leave a little room at the top so you can add moss, stones, and the tomb without everything spilling over. Use your hands to gently shape the soil so one side is slightly raised to create a hill.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">2. Create the tomb</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="638" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step3-garden-1-700x638.png" alt="Small clay pot placed on its side in soil to create the tomb in a resurrection garden" class="wp-image-18613" style="width:438px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step3-garden-1-700x638.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step3-garden-1-300x273.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step3-garden-1-768x700.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step3-garden-1-371x338.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step3-garden-1.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>To make the tomb, place a small clay pot on its side against the raised area of soil. You can partially tuck it into the dirt so it looks nestled into the hill. If you don’t have a mini pot, you can also create a small cave-like tomb using stones arranged in a mound shape.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">3. Cover the soil with moss</h3>

<p>Add moss around the garden to cover the soil and create a soft, natural base. Tuck pieces in around the tomb and across the top of the hill. The moss adds so much texture and makes the whole display feel finished.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">4. Make the crosses</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="598" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step5-garden-1-598x700.png" alt="Hands tying twine around small sticks to make wooden crosses for a resurrection garden" class="wp-image-18615" style="aspect-ratio:0.8543096872616324;width:414px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step5-garden-1-598x700.png 598w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step5-garden-1-256x300.png 256w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step5-garden-1-768x899.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step5-garden-1-371x434.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step5-garden-1.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 598px) 100vw, 598px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Gather three small twigs and cut them to size. Use hot glue or twine to attach the cross pieces together. Press the finished crosses into the soil on top of the hill behind the tomb. The crosses are such an important visual reminder of the Easter story, and they also add height and balance to the garden.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">5. Add pebbles, stone, and finishing touches</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="593" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step6-garden-1-593x700.png" alt="Clay pot tomb with moss and pebble path in a handmade resurrection garden" class="wp-image-18616" style="width:444px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step6-garden-1-593x700.png 593w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step6-garden-1-254x300.png 254w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step6-garden-1-768x906.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step6-garden-1-371x438.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step6-garden-1.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 593px) 100vw, 593px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Use small pebbles to create a path leading to the tomb, or scatter them around the base for texture. If you’d like, you can also add tiny flowers, greenery, or a small flag with a message like “He Is Risen.” Once everything is in place, gently pat down the moss and soil and adjust the stones until the garden looks complete.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img decoding="async" width="467" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-467x700.png" alt="Finished resurrection garden in a terracotta dish with a clay pot tomb, moss, pebble path, three twig crosses, stone, and white Christus statue" class="wp-image-18617" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-467x700.png 467w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-200x300.png 200w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-768x1152.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden-371x557.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/how-to-make-a-Resurrection-Garden.png 800w" sizes="(max-width: 467px) 100vw, 467px" /></figure>
</div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">The Meaning Behind Each Part of the Resurrection Garden</h2>

<p>One of the reasons I love this Easter project so much is that every part of it points back to the story of Jesus.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>The tomb</strong> reminds us where Jesus was laid.</li>

<li><strong>The stone rolled away</strong> points to the miracle of the resurrection.</li>

<li><strong>The three crosses</strong> represent Calvary and the sacrifice Jesus made.</li>

<li><strong>The garden</strong> reflects life, hope, and renewal.</li>

<li><strong>The greenery and flowers</strong> remind us of new life in Christ.</li>
</ul>

<p>You can place it in the center of your table, set it on a shelf, or use it as part of your Easter decor during Holy Week. If you have children, let them help add the moss, stones, and flowers while you talk about what each part means.</p>

<p>A beautiful verse to include with this project is Matthew 28:6:</p>

<p><strong>“He is not here; for he is risen, as he said.”</strong></p>

<p>You could write this verse on a small tag, tuck it into the garden, or simply read it aloud together when your project is finished.</p>

<p>Another meaningful idea is to build the garden earlier in the week and then move the stone away from the tomb on Easter morning. That small act can be such a special visual reminder that Jesus is risen. You could also read the Easter story together from scripture while you create the garden, or use it as a starting point for a simple family devotional.</p>

<p>A resurrection garden is easy to make, lovely to display, and full of meaning. I hope this inspires you to create one with your family this Easter season. If you make one, I’d love to hear how you styled it and who helped you create it.</p>

<p>HAPPY CREATING!</p>

<p>Spring is one of my favorite seasons to decorate for because even a simple project can make your whole home feel fresh again. After the long winter months, I’m always ready to bring in soft color, pretty greenery, and a little bit of floral charm.</p>

<p>This DIY spring wreath is one of those easy projects that looks beautiful on a front door, above a mantel, or even layered on an entry table. I love that it feels fresh and elevated, but it’s still simple enough to make in an afternoon. If you’re looking for a spring wreath with a soft, natural look, this is such a pretty one to try.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size"><strong>Supplies</strong></h2>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>1 grapevine <a href="https://amzn.to/47p1UTB" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">wreath</a> or thin wire wreath form, 14–18 inches</li>

<li>Faux <a href="https://amzn.to/4lDDfR4" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">greenery stems</a><br>(eucalyptus, lamb’s ear, fern, or mixed greenery all work well)</li>

<li>Faux <a href="https://amzn.to/4uvnPCg" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">floral stems</a> in soft spring colors<br>(blush, cream, pale yellow, lavender, or light peach are all pretty choices)</li>

<li>Floral <a href="https://amzn.to/40wzvHh" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">wire </a>or hot glue</li>

<li>Wire cutters</li>

<li><a href="https://amzn.to/3PGDtuv" type="link" id="https://amzn.to/3PGDtuv" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Ribbon</a> or twine for hanging, optional</li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-supplies-700x700.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18588" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-supplies-700x700.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-supplies-300x300.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-supplies-125x125.png 125w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-supplies-768x768.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-supplies-130x130.png 130w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-supplies-371x371.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-supplies-500x500.png 500w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-supplies.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>The prettiest wreaths usually have a soft, unbalanced shape rather than a perfectly full circle. I like to cluster greenery and flowers more heavily on one side or around the lower half of the wreath for that airy, designer-inspired look.</p>

<p>If your floral stems are very bright or overly shiny, trimming them down and mixing them with more muted greenery can help the wreath feel softer and more natural.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 1: Prep your stems</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-step-one-700x700.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18589" style="width:502px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-step-one-700x700.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-step-one-300x300.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-step-one-125x125.png 125w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-step-one-768x768.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-step-one-130x130.png 130w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-step-one-371x371.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-step-one-500x500.png 500w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-step-one.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Start by cutting your faux greenery and floral stems into smaller pieces. You’ll want a mix of short and medium sprigs so you can layer them easily around the wreath form. Set your greenery in one pile and your florals in another. This makes it much easier to build the wreath in stages.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Step 2: Create the base with greenery</h3>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-wreath-700x700.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18590" style="width:478px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-wreath-700x700.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-wreath-300x300.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-wreath-125x125.png 125w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-wreath-768x768.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-wreath-130x130.png 130w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-wreath-371x371.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-wreath-500x500.png 500w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-wreath.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Lay your wreath form flat on your work surface and begin placing the greenery first. Tuck the stems into the grapevine base or attach them with floral wire if you’re using a wire form.</p>

<p>Work in one direction so the leaves flow naturally. Start with larger greenery pieces, then fill in with smaller sprigs to create a soft base. You can keep the greenery concentrated on one side for an asymmetrical wreath, or spread it around the entire form for a fuller look.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 3: Add your florals</h3>

<p>Once the greenery is in place, start adding your flowers. I like to place the larger blooms first, then fill in around them with smaller florals. Try grouping flowers in clusters of two or three rather than spacing everything evenly. This helps the wreath feel more natural and less stiff. Leave a little open space around the wreath so the design still feels airy and light.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-4-wreath-700x700.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18591" style="width:458px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-4-wreath-700x700.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-4-wreath-300x300.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-4-wreath-125x125.png 125w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-4-wreath-768x768.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-4-wreath-130x130.png 130w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-4-wreath-371x371.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-4-wreath-500x500.png 500w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-4-wreath.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 4: Secure everything in place</h3>

<p>When you’re happy with the arrangement, secure each stem with floral wire or a small amount of hot glue. If you’re using hot glue, let each piece cool before moving on. Gently lift the wreath and check for any loose stems. Add extra greenery anywhere the base still feels bare.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 5: Add ribbon </h3>

<p>If you want a more finished look, add a simple ribbon or loop of twine for hanging. A soft neutral ribbon, gauze ribbon, or natural linen ribbon looks especially pretty for spring.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-5-wreath-700x700.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18592" style="width:616px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-5-wreath-700x700.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-5-wreath-300x300.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-5-wreath-125x125.png 125w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-5-wreath-768x768.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-5-wreath-130x130.png 130w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-5-wreath-371x371.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-5-wreath-500x500.png 500w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-5-wreath.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Step 6: Hang and style</h3>

<p>Hang your wreath on your front door, above a mantel, on an interior mirror, or even on a cabinet door for a fresh spring touch.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-hanging-700x700.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18593" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-hanging-700x700.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-hanging-300x300.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-hanging-125x125.png 125w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-hanging-768x768.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-hanging-130x130.png 130w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-hanging-371x371.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-hanging-500x500.png 500w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/wreath-hanging.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>A pretty spring wreath is such an easy way to welcome the new season, and I love how this one adds softness, color, and fresh texture without feeling too fussy. It’s simple, beautiful, and easy to customize with whatever faux stems you already have on hand.</p>

<p>If you make your own version, I’d love to hear what colors you used.</p>

<p>These adorable DIY Easter carrot treat bags are a simple and fun way to package Easter candy for friends, neighbors, or classroom gifts. Made with just a few inexpensive supplies, they come together in minutes and make the cutest addition to an Easter basket or spring celebration.</p>

<p>Fill them with jelly beans, chocolate eggs, or your favorite Easter treats for a festive little gift that looks just like a carrot!</p>

<p>Simple projects like these carrot treat bags are one of our favorite ways to make holidays feel extra special whether you’re making them for a classroom party, Easter baskets, or sweet neighbor gifts. Gather a few supplies, turn on some music, and enjoy a little creative time.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">How to Make Beautiful Textured Stone-Look Eggs for Spring Decor</h2>

<p>If you love soft, neutral spring decor with a natural, collected feel, these DIY stone eggs are such a beautiful project to make. They have that weathered texture that looks high-end and handcrafted, but they’re actually simple to create with a few basic supplies.</p>

<p>Today I’m sharing exactly how to make them step by step.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Supplies</h2>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Plastic craft eggs, paper mache eggs, or hollow faux eggs</li>

<li>Lightweight spackling paste or joint compound</li>

<li>Acrylic paint in soft neutral shades</li>

<li>Black or dark brown acrylic paint for speckling</li>

<li>Paintbrushes</li>

<li>baking soda</li>

<li>Palette knife, butter knife, or old craft brush for applying texture</li>

<li>Fine grit sandpaper or sanding block</li>

<li>Matte sealer or clear matte spray</li>

<li>Paper towels or drop cloth</li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="557" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/supplies-stone-eggs-700x557.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18555" style="width:571px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/supplies-stone-eggs-700x557.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/supplies-stone-eggs-300x239.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/supplies-stone-eggs-768x611.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/supplies-stone-eggs-371x295.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/supplies-stone-eggs.png 1096w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 1: Prep Your Eggs</h3>

<p>Start with clean, dry faux eggs. If you’re using plastic eggs, make sure they are snapped closed tightly. You can even add a tiny bit of hot glue inside first if you want them to stay firmly shut.</p>

<p><em>Craft Tip: Paper mache eggs work beautifully for this project too because they already have a slightly natural surface.</em></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Step 2: Add the Stone Texture</h3>

<p>Using a palette knife, old brush, or even your fingers, spread a thin layer of <strong>lightweight spackling paste</strong> over each egg.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="518" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-stones-1-700x518.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18556" style="width:530px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-stones-1-700x518.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-stones-1-300x222.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-stones-1-768x568.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-stones-1-371x274.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-stones-1.png 1179w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>You don’t want the coating perfectly smooth. The charm of these eggs comes from the uneven, worn texture, so let there be little ridges, bumps, and imperfect areas. Keep the layer fairly thin so it dries well and doesn’t crack too heavily. Set the eggs aside to dry completely. <em>Craft Tip: If you want even more stone-like grit, stir a little baking soda into the spackle before applying it.</em></p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 3: Sand Lightly</h3>

<p>Once the texture is fully dry, lightly sand the eggs with fine grit sandpaper. This helps knock down any sharp ridges while still keeping that beautiful aged texture. You’re not trying to make them smooth — just softened and natural-looking. Wipe away any dust with a dry cloth or paper towel.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Step 4: Paint the Base Color</h3>

<p>Now it’s time to add the soft stone-inspired color. Paint each egg in a muted, earthy shade like cream, warm white, soft taupe, dusty blush, or sage green. Don’t worry about making the coat perfectly even. Slight variation only adds to the organic look. Let the first coat dry, then add a second coat if needed.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 5: Add Dimension With Dry Brushing</h3>

<p>To give the eggs that realistic stone finish, lightly dry brush a second color over the surface. Use a nearly dry brush with a small amount of lighter or darker paint and gently sweep it across the textured areas. This catches the raised spots and creates dimension that makes the eggs look more like aged stone or plaster.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 6: Create the Speckled Finish</h3>

<p>For that natural stone look, add tiny speckles using watered-down black or dark brown paint.Dip a stiff brush into the paint, then use your finger to flick small specks across the eggs. Start lightly and build up slowly.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/speckling-eggs-700x700.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18558" style="width:535px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/speckling-eggs-700x700.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/speckling-eggs-300x300.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/speckling-eggs-125x125.png 125w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/speckling-eggs-768x768.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/speckling-eggs-130x130.png 130w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/speckling-eggs-371x371.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/speckling-eggs-500x500.png 500w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/speckling-eggs.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>You can also dab on subtle speckles with a sponge if you want a softer look. Let everything dry completely.</p>

<p><strong>Tip:</strong> Protect your workspace before flicking paint — the speckles can travel farther than you think.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 7: Seal the Eggs</h3>

<p>Once your eggs are fully dry, apply a matte sealer to protect the finish. A matte finish works best here because it keeps the eggs looking soft, chalky, and stone-like. Avoid glossy sealers, which can take away from the natural effect. Let the sealer dry according to package directions.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">How to Style</h2>

<p>These textured eggs are so pretty displayed in simple, natural ways. Here are a few ideas:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>arrange them in a shallow bowl with moss</li>

<li>place them on a coffee table tray with candles</li>

<li>use them as part of an Easter centerpiece</li>

<li>add them to a shelf with ceramic vases and spring branches</li>

<li>display them in a dough bowl for a soft seasonal touch</li>
</ul>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="522" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/stone-eggs-bowl-700x522.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18560" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/stone-eggs-bowl-700x522.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/stone-eggs-bowl-300x224.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/stone-eggs-bowl-768x573.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/stone-eggs-bowl-371x277.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/stone-eggs-bowl.png 1169w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>

<p>These DIY painted herb pots are the perfect Mother’s Day project! They’re easy to make, customizable, and filled with fresh herbs Mom can enjoy all season long.</p>

<p>Whether you place them on a sunny windowsill or gift them as part of a little kitchen garden set, these personalized herb pots make a thoughtful gift that keeps growing.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="512" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-pot-supplies-700x512.png" alt="Supplies for painting pots" class="wp-image-18546" style="width:510px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-pot-supplies-700x512.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-pot-supplies-300x219.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-pot-supplies-768x562.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-pot-supplies-371x271.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-pot-supplies.png 1192w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Supplies</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Small terracotta pots</li>

<li>Acrylic or chalk paint (soft pastel colors work beautifully)</li>

<li>Small paint brushes</li>

<li>Letter stencils or vinyl letters (optional)</li>

<li>Painter’s tape</li>

<li>Pencil</li>

<li>Clear matte sealer (optional)</li>

<li>Potting soil</li>

<li>Herb plants (basil, mint, thyme, rosemary, etc.)</li>
</ul>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 1: Clean the Pots</h2>

<p>Before painting, make sure the pots are clean and dry.Wipe off any dust or debris with a damp cloth and allow them to dry completely. This helps the paint adhere better. <em>Craft Tip: If your pots are brand new, a quick rinse removes clay dust that can affect paint coverage.</em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 2: Paint the Base Color</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="554" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/base-painting-700x554.png" alt="painting terra cotta pots" class="wp-image-18547" style="width:521px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/base-painting-700x554.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/base-painting-300x237.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/base-painting-768x607.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/base-painting-371x293.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/base-painting.png 1295w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Using a medium brush, apply a thin coat of acrylic or chalk paint around the pot. Allow the paint to dry, then apply a second coat if needed for full coverage.</p>

<p>Soft greens, dusty blues, and warm terracotta tones create a beautiful garden-inspired palette.</p>

<p><em>Craft Tip: Chalk paint gives a lovely matte finish and sticks well to terracotta.</em></p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 4: Add the Herb Names</h2>

<p>Personalizing the pots is what makes this project so charming.</p>

<p>Use letter stencils, vinyl decals, or hand lettering to add the herb names to each pot.</p>

<p>Some great herb options include:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Basil</li>

<li>Mint</li>

<li>Thyme</li>

<li>Rosemary</li>

<li>Parsley</li>

<li>Oregano</li>
</ul>

<p>Lightly pencil the placement first to keep everything centered, then fill in the letters with paint. <em>Craft Tip: A small detail brush works best for crisp lettering.</em></p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="579" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/herb-painting-pots-700x579.png" alt="herb painted pots" class="wp-image-18548" style="width:569px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/herb-painting-pots-700x579.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/herb-painting-pots-300x248.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/herb-painting-pots-768x635.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/herb-painting-pots-371x307.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/herb-painting-pots.png 1238w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 5: Add Decorative Leaves (Optional)</h2>

<p>To make the pots extra special, paint simple botanical leaves below the lettering.</p>

<p>You can freehand small leaf branches, use mini stencils, stamp leaves using a small sponge, etc. Metallic gold or soft green paint adds a beautiful garden-inspired touch.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 6: Seal the Paint</h2>

<p>Once everything is completely dry, apply a clear matte sealer to protect the design. This step helps the paint last longer, especially if the pots will be watered regularly. Let the sealer dry fully before planting.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 7: Plant the Herbs</h2>

<p>Fill each pot with potting soil and plant your herbs. Gently loosen the herb plant from its container, place it in the pot, and add extra soil around the base. Lightly water and place the pots in a sunny window or kitchen counter.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="625" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-herb-pots-1-700x625.png" alt="DIY Painted Pots Mother's Day" class="wp-image-18545" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-herb-pots-1-700x625.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-herb-pots-1-300x268.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-herb-pots-1-768x686.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-herb-pots-1-371x331.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/painted-herb-pots-1.png 976w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>

<p>Handmade gifts have a special way of showing love, and these painted herb pots are a simple project that feels both thoughtful and practical. Whether you make one pot or create a whole little herb garden set, it’s a gift that Mom can enjoy every time she cooks or spends time in the kitchen. We hope this project inspires you to add a little handmade touch to your Mother’s Day celebrations.</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Floating glass frame or shadow box frame</li>

<li>Pressed flowers and leaves</li>

<li>Tweezers</li>

<li>Clear drying craft glue (optional)</li>

<li>Cardstock or handmade paper backing</li>

<li>Soft cloth for cleaning glass</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Step 1: Choose Your Flowers</strong></p>

<p>Start by selecting a variety of pressed flowers and greenery. Look for a mix of statement blooms, filler flowers, and greenery like ferns. This combination helps create a balanced arrangement that feels natural and organic.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><em>Craft Tip &#8211; Choose flowers that are fully dried and flat. Any moisture left in the petals can cause discoloration inside the frame over time.</em></h3>

<p>Some flowers that press beautifully are pansies, daisies, baby&#8217;s breath, ferns, queen anne&#8217;s lace, etc.</p>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 2: Plan Your Arrangement</h1>

<p>Before gluing anything down, arrange your flowers on the glass or backing paper.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large is-resized"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-1-700x467.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18542" style="width:538px;height:auto" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-1-700x467.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-1-300x200.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-1-768x512.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-1-371x247.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/step-2-1.png 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Try layering greenery first, then placing flowers on top to create a natural bouquet shape. A loose triangle or fan shape often works best visually. Use tweezers to gently move petals into place without damaging them.</p>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 3: Secure the Flowers</h1>

<p>Once you&#8217;re happy with the arrangement, carefully attach the flowers.</p>

<p>For many frames, no glue is actually needed because the glass will hold everything in place. If you want extra security, add a tiny dot of clear drying glue behind thicker stems.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size"><em>Craft Tip &#8211; Less glue is better. Too much adhesive can show through delicate petals.</em></h3>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 4: Clean the Glass</h1>

<p>Before sealing your frame, wipe the inside glass panels with a soft cloth. This removes fingerprints or dust that could get trapped inside. It may seem like a small step, but it makes the final project look polished and professional!</p>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 5: Assemble the Frame</h1>

<p>Place your floral arrangement between the glass panels or on the backing paper, depending on the style of frame you&#8217;re using. Close the frame carefully so the flowers stay in place.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="594" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Mothers-Day-pressed-flowers-700x594.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18537" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Mothers-Day-pressed-flowers-700x594.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Mothers-Day-pressed-flowers-300x255.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Mothers-Day-pressed-flowers-371x315.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Mothers-Day-pressed-flowers.png 720w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 6: Turn It Into a Gift</h1>

<p>To make this project even more special for Mother’s Day, add a few thoughtful details:</p>

<p>• Tie a ribbon around the frame<br>• Attach a handwritten tag<br>• Include a small dried lavender sprig<br>• Write the date the flowers were picked</p>

<p>These simple touches make the gift feel extra meaningful!</p>

<p>Happy Creating!</p>

<p>Sometimes the most meaningful gifts aren’t expensive.</p>

<p>They aren’t flashy.<br>They don’t come wrapped in big bows.<br>And they definitely don’t require overnight shipping.</p>

<p>Sometimes the most powerful gift you can give your mom is your words.</p>

<p>“Open When” letters are small envelopes filled with handwritten notes that she opens at specific moments &#8211; when she needs encouragement, when she’s feeling overwhelmed, when she misses you, or when she just needs a little reminder of how loved she is.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="500" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-envelope-gifts-700x500.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18525" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-envelope-gifts-700x500.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-envelope-gifts-300x214.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-envelope-gifts-768x549.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-envelope-gifts-1536x1097.png 1536w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-envelope-gifts-371x265.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-envelope-gifts.png 2000w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>They are simple.<br>They are personal.<br>And they become something she will tuck away and keep forever.</p>

<p>Today I’m sharing a free printable set of “Open When” envelopes that you can use to create a heartfelt Mother’s Day gift for Mom or Grandma.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size"><strong>What Are “Open When” Letters?</strong></h2>

<p>“Open When” letters are exactly what they sound like. Each envelope is labeled with a specific moment:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Open when you need encouragement</li>

<li>Open when you feel overwhelmed</li>

<li>Open when you miss me</li>

<li>Open when you need a good laugh</li>
</ul>

<p>Instead of opening them all at once, she saves them. And when life brings one of those moments, she reaches for the matching envelope. It’s a gift that lasts long after Mother’s Day is over.</p>

<p><strong>How to Use the Free Printable Envelopes</strong></p>

<p>Download the printable envelope labels and print them on cardstock or sticker paper.</p>

<p>You can:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Attach them to pre-made envelopes</li>

<li>Glue them to colored cardstock envelopes</li>

<li>Or print directly onto blank 5&#215;7 envelopes</li>
</ul>

<p>Then, sit down and write your notes to tuck inside.</p>

<p>There is no right way to do this.<br>There is no perfect script.</p>

<p>Just write from your heart.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="700" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-letter-700x700.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18526" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-letter-700x700.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-letter-300x300.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-letter-125x125.png 125w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-letter-768x768.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-letter-130x130.png 130w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-letter-371x371.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-letter-500x500.png 500w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/Open-When-letter.png 1024w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p><strong><a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UMLKl19GR8TvE4p2lZXaJ9_SKMzo9W7C/view?usp=sharing" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">FREE  5&#215;7 ENVELOPE PRINTABLES HERE</a></strong></p>

<p>Long after the flowers fade and the celebrations end, these envelopes will still be there tucked into a drawer, slipped between pages of a book, waiting for the exact moment she needs them most. That’s what makes this gift so meaningful. It isn’t just paper and ink… it’s reassurance, gratitude, laughter, and love she can open again and again.</p>

<p>HAPPY CREATING!</p>

<p>SUPPLIES:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><a href="https://amzn.to/46fTPzP" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">acrylic craft paint</a></li>

<li>foam paint brush</li>

<li>cardstock</li>

<li>Baby wipes and/or paper towels</li>

<li>painter&#8217;s tape</li>

<li>Free Printable template (<em>below</em>)</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 1: Prepare Your Surface</h3>

<p>Lay down butcher paper or a drop cloth. Tape your printable image (use cardstock) to the table to prevent sliding.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 2: Paint Mom’s Hand First</h3>

<p>Using a foam brush, apply an even coat of paint to mom’s hand (blush used, black used below). Press firmly in the center of the page. Let dry 5–10 minutes before layering children’s prints.</p>

<p>Tip: Don’t overload the paint — too much creates smudging.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 3: Add Child Handprint</h3>

<p>Paint child&#8217;s hand. Slightly overlap onto mom’s hand for that connected look. Press gently and lift straight up. Allow to dry.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading">Step 4 (optional): Add Additional Child&#8217;s Handprint</h3>

<p>Use a cream or lighter neutral for contrast. Slight overlap creates visual depth and a cohesive grouping. Let dry completely before framing.</p>

<p>If you’re looking for a creative and crowd-pleasing Easter entertaining idea, these mini charcuterie Easter baskets are such a festive way to serve guests. Instead of a traditional charcuterie board, each small woven basket is filled with sweet and savory bites — from cheese and salami to fresh fruit and pastel treats — making them perfect for Easter brunch, spring gatherings, or thoughtful holiday gifts. They’re easy to assemble, beautiful on the table, and feel special without adding stress to your hosting plans.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-easter-baskets-700x467.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18507" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-easter-baskets-700x467.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-easter-baskets-300x200.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-easter-baskets-768x512.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-easter-baskets-371x247.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-easter-baskets.png 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p class="has-medium-font-size">I used small woven wooden baskets like <a href="https://amzn.to/45ZCL12" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow"><strong>these</strong></a> (affiliate link):</p>

<p>They’re approximately 2–3 inches wide, which makes them perfect for individual servings. The small size keeps everything contained and you can fill them up in no time.</p>

<p>Tip: If you’re ordering online, search for “mini woven baskets for party favors.”</p>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Three Easy Ways to Fill Your Easter Charcuterie Baskets</h1>

<p>One of the things I love most about this idea is how flexible it is. You can mix and match fillings depending on your guests.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">1. Classic Mini Charcuterie (Savory + Sweet)</h2>

<p>Fill the baskets with:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Cubed cheddar or Colby Jack cheese</li>

<li>Folded salami slices</li>

<li>Almonds or mixed nuts</li>

<li>Fresh berries</li>

<li>A few pastel chocolate eggs</li>

<li>or anything you&#8217;re guests would love!</li>
</ul>

<p>This version gives you the traditional charcuterie feel in a perfectly portioned size.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">2. Treat-Only Easter Baskets</h2>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-sweet-easter-baskets-700x467.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18509" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-sweet-easter-baskets-700x467.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-sweet-easter-baskets-300x200.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-sweet-easter-baskets-768x512.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-sweet-easter-baskets-371x247.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-sweet-easter-baskets.png 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Fill with the baskets with:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Chocolate eggs</li>

<li>Jelly beans</li>

<li>Mini cookies</li>

<li>Yogurt-covered pretzels</li>

<li>Bunny graham crackers</li>
</ul>

<p>You can line the basket with a cupcake liner to keep everything neat.</p>

<h2 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">3. Brunch-Style Baskets</h2>

<p>If you’re hosting Easter morning, these feel thoughtful and creative.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-brunch-easter-baskets-700x467.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18508" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-brunch-easter-baskets-700x467.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-brunch-easter-baskets-300x200.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-brunch-easter-baskets-768x512.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-brunch-easter-baskets-371x247.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-brunch-easter-baskets.png 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<p>Fill with:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Cubed cheese</li>

<li>Grapes or strawberries</li>

<li>Crackers</li>

<li>A mini muffin</li>

<li>A chocolate-covered strawberry</li>
</ul>

<p>They’re lovely placed at each table setting.</p>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">How to Assemble Them</h1>

<p>You truly don’t need special tools for this. So simple.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 1: Line the Basket</h3>

<p>Use a small cupcake liner or parchment circle for easy cleanup.</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/assembling-easter-charcuterie-baskets-700x467.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18512" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/assembling-easter-charcuterie-baskets-700x467.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/assembling-easter-charcuterie-baskets-300x200.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/assembling-easter-charcuterie-baskets-768x512.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/assembling-easter-charcuterie-baskets-371x247.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/assembling-easter-charcuterie-baskets.png 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 2: Add Larger Items First</h3>

<p>Place cheese cubes or folded meats at the back for height.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 3: Fill Gaps with Small Items</h3>

<p>Add nuts, candy eggs, or berries to fill empty spaces.</p>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Step 4: Balance Color</h3>

<p>Try to mix textures and colors so each basket feels full and festive.</p>

<p>You don’t need perfection — just variety and balance.</p>

<p>CRAFT TIP: Add a festive bow to the basket!</p>

<div class="wp-block-image">
<figure class="aligncenter size-large"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" width="700" height="467" src="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-baskets-with-bows-700x467.png" alt="" class="wp-image-18510" srcset="https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-baskets-with-bows-700x467.png 700w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-baskets-with-bows-300x200.png 300w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-baskets-with-bows-768x512.png 768w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-baskets-with-bows-371x247.png 371w, https://www.u-createcrafts.com/wp-content/uploads/2026/02/mini-charcuterie-baskets-with-bows.png 1536w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px" /></figure>
</div>

<h1 class="wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size">Hosting Tips for a Beautiful Display</h1>

<p>If you’re using these for a gathering:</p>

<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Arrange baskets in rows for a clean presentation</li>

<li>Scatter pastel chocolate eggs around the table</li>

<li>Add fresh tulips for a soft spring touch</li>

<li>Keep everything refrigerated until serving</li>
</ul>

<p>They look especially sweet on a light wood or white table setting.You can even create a mix of savory and sweet versions depending on your guest list.</p>

<p>That’s the beauty of simple entertaining &#8211; flexible, thoughtful, and easy to adjust.</p>

<p>HAPPY CREATING!</p>
