It has been quite awhile since I posted, far longer than I had planned. To make up for lost time, I have decided to give a really good gem away, one that I kept for myself and clients for quite some time.

Everyone has tried or thought about putting links on wikipedia to get tons of traffic (and SEO benefit before they started nofollowing the links due to spammers). However, it is merely impossible now that they have perfected their anti-advertising system. Well, WikkaWiki is an open source software much like MediaWiki that Wikipedia runs off of. WikkaWiki is great for new sites looking to setup a wiki very quickly, and they have a great support staff.

From our point of view however, these sites can be great to build strong backlinked pages from websites that are relevant to your industries, and you can also help out the owner of these wiki’s by adding relevant, content-filled pages.

You can search Google to find WikkaWiki’s that are accepting new members & content in your website’s industry by using the google query:
“Powered by WikkaWiki” “your keyword”.

There are tons of websites running this software, so this should definitely allow you a few hours of strong link building, I just have to recommend that you add content to the site rather than just stuffing links. If you add relevant pages of content, then everyone wins and everyone is happy. For the lazy people (unrecommended), just register an account and edit your profile with a link, and build a few links from other sources to your profile to get it quickly indexed and cached.

Something went weird and only my email subscribers transferred over to the new feed. There are over 1000 of you still on the old RSS URL, so I re-registered that one as well and it is currently redirecting, however you are getting your posts delayed by up to 12 hours.

Update on my link building posts

I have been getting a few emails stating that people’s links have gone from dofollow to nofollow from a few sites that were recently published on the blog, and it is because I have so many subscribers via email on this blog, so the sites get a flood of traffic the day I make my posts, and that makes them check their logs to see what referrals are sending traffic.

From here on out, to increase our anonymity and decrease sites updating their systems, I am not going to be hyper-linking any site, and any link that needs to be hyperlinked will be masked by a referral-hiding domain. I will still provide the URL for you to copy paste into your browser.

I will however note that all my guest posts dofollow links from my blog will remain active, and with fewer outgoing links on the blog, that means more link juice to you. If anyone has any good link building tips/websites they wish to share, contact me (form at the top) and if I make a post about it you will get a permanent link in return.

Today I have a new powerful link building tip to share with everyone for free! The website is called GolfLink.com, and as you can assume, is about golfing. Not only is this an excellent website to build links from if your website is sports/golf/fitness related, but it is so authoritative that just about any niche can benefit from links on it. The website has an incredible 100/100 score on RavenSEO tools, because it has a PR7, DMoz listing, edu and gov links, nearly 3 million other links, and much more. This site can greatly help improve your search engine rankings.

First, visit the homepage and click on the “register” button that is on the top right of the site. The step-2 part of registering asks for your credit card information. Assuming you don’t want to become a premium member for this site, just click on the logo to go to the homepage, and you should be still logged in. Next, click on “profile” which should be near where you originally clicked on “register.” Go to “edit profile” and then there will be an “about” box that you can fill out, and html links are allowed.

A lot of my readers have been telling me that the links they have been receiving from highly authoritative sites offering free profiles and blogs with dofollow links (and are able to get indexed) are helping their websites increase in rank immensely. To continue on with that, today’s website is a community that allows free (and paid) MP3 music downloads. The site is completely free to join, so hit “sign up” at the top right of the website. After you register your profile, you will need to verify your email like most of the other sites you are use to.

Once you have made it that far and are logged in and account confirmed, you will want to edit your profile and add a blog post. Inside your blog posts, full HTML is allowed which includes adding external links with dofollow attached to them, and your most recent blog posts show up on your profile page. So once you create a blog post, you can then build a few links to your profile page to quickly index it. There you have it, one more solid permanent dofollow link building strategy from a very strong authoritative website.
