Hello there! Do I detect signs of frustrations?

I don’t blame you. You are right, too many politicians jump to conclusion that all blogs are anti-govt.

We will need a good soild effort to publicise that not all blogs are like that.

Emm, emm, I have been covering for you guys in a few occassions recently. Apparently, your [Rumah Dayak dot com] recent effort with Mercy raised a few eye brows. Dont worry, I will continue to ‘cover’ your backside whenever some politicians raise concern.

Dayak bloggers I associate with are friends. I have no problems with that. YEs, I will continue to cover your back as long as we are on the same right track….

Dr Robert Resneck’s formula: E(event) + R(response) – O(outcome)….so you’ve control over how to response, if you don’t like the outcome, CHANGE your response or no response….whatever can be created mentally can always be translated into physical reality…whatever opinions or imagination that cropped up in the mind may be … transmutted into possibilities…so we cannot be too judgemental because a man is not the sum of what he is BUT the totality of what he might be…like the tip of an iceberg, major portions of our subconscious mind is submerged that we may not realise its power and full potentials…the more suggestions or opinions we can get through others or divergent thinking, the better would be your chance to arrive at the best option through convergent thinking..so brader I sincerely concur with the quote “feedback is the breakfast of champions…it’s through feedback that we can know what works and what doesn’t work…so we can always readjust and realign our directions in order to arrive at the desired outcomes….as long as goals are clear, stick to them! Dios te bendiga! Dieu vous binesse! GBU!

Hello Sarawak politicians, I am not sure how you perceive blogging, but, one thing for sure, it seem that you generalised bloggers as anti-government.

Every time you go to the media to talk about blog, you refer the bloggers as anti-establishment. Heck, it hurts so many other bloggers who do not write about politics.

Excuse us, dear Sarawakian politicians, next time, when you address bloggers, please address them with the category they fall into. If its politics, then address them as POLITICAL BLOG WRITTERS!

Some of my blogger friends do not write about politics, so, please do not generalised the term blogging as per se.

And the media, should identify what type of blog are these politicians referring to.

Anyway, there are so many different type of blogs – photography, hobbies, finance, sports, food, music, video, etc. Do you get it? I am sure your children have a blog by now.

The annual haze festival is back in Miri. The photo was taken at 7.07 am today after the Piasau Bridge heading towards GK Supermarket.

What’s cool about it? Our electricity bill will sure to shoot up to keep our homes cool.

This year the temperature seem to be higher than last year. Are we experiencing the effect of global warming?

A big Thank You to Mohd Yusrizal or better known as Rizalbob on the Internet, for his noble act to give Unggok a proper burial.

This is only one example of our Sarawakian heroes who died while defending the nation against its enemies. We remember quite well during the launching of his book, Rizalbob was given the green light by our Chief Minister withness by Datuk Patinggi Jabu, other ADUNs and members from the ex-servicemen associations that a Heroes Burial Ground should be built in Kuching and the remains of 19 other Iban Trackers and rangers serving in West Malaysia and Singapore to be brought home to Sarawak.

Although it was a quick verbal agreement from the Chief Minister, we hope the relevant ministry and agencies will do a follow-up on this issue.

I would love to bring this proposal in writing to YB Datuk Seri William.. and Rizalbob, we see how it goes from there..

Our new Yang Berhormat is heading for a good start being in public office. He will be the first Iban Yang Berhormat to be sworn-in at the new Dewan Undangan Negeri building during the coming May sitting.

Nevertheless, our new YB needs to recall back all the pledges that were announced during the recent concluded Batang Ai by-election. Pledges come in from the State and the Federal agencies. Read the full news extract here.

Two years to bring the voters together

With the setting up of the two service centres, we hope YB Mussen will be able to form all his working committees to keep track of all the pledges made by the Barisan Nasional. Some of the project may make it way soon and some may need more time to work on the documentations, etc.

Two years is too short, but I am sure the Barisan Nasional is capable to deliver what has been pledged. The deliveries of Batang Ai is definitely our benchmark for the Barisan Nasional under the new Prime Minister’s leadership.

A bad start to 1Malaysia

Despite the various media coverage on our Prime Minister 1Malaysia concept, one of our local YB seem to be having a different view on 1Malaysia. In a recent press conference, the YB was seen to have divided the Dayak into two groups – THE DAYAKS and THE ORANG ULU. I believe there is no need for him to mention that, and further more the event is being organised by the Bidayuh community.

The particular YB also get some bashing from his fellow tribesman on his idea on Lun Dayak. What could be better than hearing it at a symposium right from the people themselves.

To me, 1Malaysia is just about UNITY – ONE means united ONE. Malaysians need to be united to face global issues. When our Prime Minister talks about 1Malaysia, he is referring to Malaysia in its international standings. We definitely need to be UNITED to be a strong nation regardless of what our political views, cultural and customary practices are.

Support for Miri Citizen Shelter

It was sad indeed that our noble project did not get any attention during the symposium. Nevertheless, we thank the various timber companies for their support towards making the project a success.

It was a good function organised by the government for the people of Ulu Niah. Not only they received their dividend and bonuses from the palm oil JV project with BLD, KTS Group and NIA Emas Sdn. Bhd., the function also became a randau session for the people to express their anger, views and suggestion to the Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Jabu, about their recent court case involving their NCR land.

Probably the win-win situation would be to “tarik balik the saman” against one another and BLD should take the cue first. The cases arise from the misunderstanding of NCR land of the people, that has been planted with palm oil earlier.

And do it as soon as possible to reduce any complication that may arise from the people of Ulu Niah.

It is a customary practise to slaughter a pig as sacrifice before entering an Iban longhouse.

Grants for the people

The government announced the following grants:

• RM5,000 to Rh. Belilie for the purchase of computers for their JKKK
• RM10,000 for SK Ranggong
• RM10,000 for SK Lamaus
• RM10,000 for SK Manong
• RM10,000 for SK Chin Nam Niah
• RM10,000 for SK Rancangan Sepupok

Dividend paid out were as:

• Rh. Ranggong – RM182,317 (62 participants)
• Rh. Belilie – RM254,391.20 (164 participants)

Unit saham ASSAR – RM887,000.00

Conclusion: The function ended well with both the people and the government understood the root of the issues and the court cases. We now wait for further action by the parties involved.
