Former Republican Presidential Candidate, Herman Cain, will be speaking to the UGA College Republicans on Wednesday, March 21st at 7PM in Miller Learning Center Room 101.

The attire for the event is business casual.

Super Tuesday Results Viewing Party

Come join us to watch the results from Super Tuesday come in! We have a room reserved from 6:00 to 8:30, so come and go as you please!

MTV is currently planning to attend to get some coverage of young voters involved in the Super Tuesday elections!

Dr. Charles Bullock Speaks About Presidential Primary

Black in the Republican Party Discussion Panel

The University of Georgia College Republicans are hosting a panel discussion on the presence of African Americans in the Republican Party.

The panel will feature:
- Melvin Everson, the director of the Georgia Commission on Equal Opportunity
- Michael McNeely, the Deputy Commissioner of Department of Juvenile Justice and Chairman of the Georgia Black Republican Council
- Rich Thompson, Founder & Chairman of company called 100Dads

Topics of Discusion will include how to make the Republican Party more appealing to the black community and how many African Americans are actually more conservative than they believe.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 7PM in MLC 213.

Internship Informational Meeting

Come join the UGA College Republicans as we host an informative meeting about political internship opportunities! We will have representatives speaking on internships with political campaigns, lobbying firms, Congressional offices (both in DC and in the district), the UGA Washington Semester Program, and the Governor’s Internship Program!

Refreshments will be provided, so come out and join the Best Party on Campus and learn how to score a great Summer Internship! We hope to see you there!

2012 Kickoff Rally!

Come Join us as the UGA College Republicans host their first meeting, and as we kickoff the Spring Semester and get ready for 2012!

It will be held on Wednesday, January 18th at 7PM in Miller Learning Center room 213.

The meeting will feature an introduction to the organization for new members and an overview of the things we will be doing throughout the semester.

Following that, you will have the opportunity to win an assortment of different College Republican items.

Come out this week for Chapter Election nominations!

This week the UGA College Republicans will be nominating candidates for the 2012 Executive Board (the election will be held on November 30th). After the nominations, we will be watching the National Geographic interview of George Bush 10 years after 9/11.

This week a public debate will take place between the UGA College Republicans, Young Democrats, and Young Americans For Liberty. The major topics of debate will be the current economy, education, and views on immigration.

UGACRs host the AFP Economic Freedom Tour

The UGA College Republicans will be hosting a stop on the Economic Freedom Tour presented by the Americans for Prosperity Foundation. The main goal of the tour is to educate Georgians on the policies and regulations that are contributing to America’s economic crisis.

The program components include: lectures, Q&A sessions, and an audience recording of “The Hub Internet Show” featuring a panel of experts alongside students.

The meeting will take place Wednesday, November 2nd at 7PM in MLC 214.
