Market America Acquires Shop.com

Market America received tons of media attention when they announced the acquisition of shop.com a few weeks ago. I met the CEO and staff of shop.com at our World Conference in Miami last February and from what I heard, this merge is going to revolutionize the way people shop, as JR Ridinger founder and CEO of Market America put it. Shop.com is the company that developed and holds the patent of the OneCart technology that Amazon.com uses for their checkout service by different merchants.

This technology among several other evens the play field for Market America to compete head to head against the "big A" (Amazon.com). I, as an UnFranchise owner, am very excited about this acquisition because it just makes it easier for us to attract customers to our business. I'm sure I'm not the only one that thinks this way. Market America has recently been promoting the Bigger, Better, Faster, Easier campaign. And I think this goes in line with JR's vision.

Every time they announce something new, all I can think of is: Residual income. After all, that's the main reason I partnered with Market America. And, I see it closer every day.

True leaders always focus on the "why".

The first time I saw this video I liked it. I thought it was very inspirational and I thought that it was really in alignment with what our company Market America is doing right now with the Unfranchise system. But that was it. I didn't really get why I should even care to apply the same principles that Simon Sinek mentions in the video in my Market America business or in my every day life for that matter.

I thought that it had been sent to us by our leaders to "inspire" us and make us take action to grow our own business, their own business and the companies business. but after a lot of thought and watching it over 5 times and reading Andrew Weissman's post at BeingJRridinger.com

It is totally true. Unless we focus on why we do what we do in Market America, we won't be able to make a positive impact in other people lives and influence them take action to change their situation for the better. So many people need what we have. Probably because they need more money; or because they have money but need more time; or because they need the products and/or services that we provide. But the problem is that until now, I have been focusing on the "what". I would talk to people about the business and how great it is, or about the products and how wonderful they are instead of telling them why I do this business and why I think they would benefit from it if they share the same vision and have the same dream.

For those of you that don't know, Market America's mission is: "To provide a system for entrepreneurs to create an ongoing income, while providing consumers worldwide with a better way to shop".

In all honesty, I see the very same purpose in everything they do. In every improvement to our web portal, in every improvement to our compensation plan, and in every new improvement to the Unfranchise system in general.

Now, my mission is different. The reason that gives me the drive to keep working in this business despite all the challenges is because I believe I can achieve financial independence, time freedom and good health with Market America. And, I can help more people do the same with Market America easier and faster than with any other system or medium. I truly belive that.

2010 Market America Convention Highlight Video,

This is the first time I attended one of the big events in Market America and I got blown out of my mind. This amazing video highlights the magic moments of our International convention in Greensboro NC last August 4-8. The saying in Market America about the UnFranchise Business system and which all leaders always repeat: We grow from event to event is totally true. My team (below) and I experienced a great change in attitude, let alone all the new knowledge we acquired. We came back from the convention with our batteries fully recharged and ready to make the 2-3 year plan a reality. I'm completely positive that by the next event, our Region I Convention in Boston Massachusetts next Nevember 12, we will be a bigger, stronger team.
