Quebec songstress Ariane Moffatt is gearing up for the release of her fourth album MA on February 27th via Audiogram. On this record she reinvents herself, delving into uncharted electro-pop territory with the boldest, brightest songs of her career. By far her most personal work to date, MA is written, performed and produced completely by Ariane herself.

A great name, catchy songs and instant acclaim has established Dublin four-piece The Cast Of Cheers as a firm favorite with music critics and fans alike and a band you will be hearing much more.

In 2010, the band quietly released their debut album Chariot. Not ones to rest on their laurels though, front men (and brothers) Conor and Neil Adams, bassist John Higgins and drummer Kevin Curran are now gearing up for the follow up. Sydneysiders New Navy have been receiving a lot of blog love from around the world over the past few months. Their debut EP, Uluwatu, was released at the end of summer 2011 and spawned the super catchy single “Zimbabwe”.

With its cheerful summery melody and whistled intro, the song has earned the band massive success and it has also attracted the attention of many remixers, eager to give it their own spin. The remixes below come courtesy of Sydney-based producer Flume, 22-year-old nu-disco aficionado Lancelot and up-and-coming electro trio Rüfüs.

Sydney DJ/producer Beni has a brand new video for his high-energy dancefloor anthem “Someone Just Like You” and it’s premiering on umstrum in Europe (and Prefix in the US)! French-Canadian singer songwriter David Giguère launched his debut album, Hisser Haut, last January 26th with an impressive live performance at the National in Montréal. With his exquisite mix of rock, pop and subtle electronica, the young artist wooed an audience of 650, with a little help from a few special guests including Ariane Moffatt, Fanny Bloom, Emmanuel Schwartz et Pierre-Philippe Côté (alias Pilou).
