American singer-songwriter John Grant recently released his second solo effort, Pale Green Ghosts, which is the follow up to 2010′s Queen of Denmark, recorded with Midlake. The new album shows a whole new side of Grant’s musical prowess, mainly due to the input of producer Biggi Veir (best known as a member of Iceland’s electronic collective Gus Gus). Portuguese producer Xinobi was brought on board to remix the title track “Pale Green Ghosts” and the result is a disco-infused dancefloor filler with a funky bass line. John Grant and his label Bella Union loved the remix so much they decided to give it away as free download to support the beginning of his world tour.

After the success of previous singles “Promises” and “Ghosts”, Aussie duo The Presets are releasing a killer remix EP for the song “Fall”, taken off their critically acclaimed album Pacifica. Julian Hamilton explains that this song “celebrates love wherever you find it” and was inspired by a story “about a gay woman whose mother wouldn’t accept her homosexuality. The line ‘two soft bodies, all the way to hell’ was something the mother had said to her daughter.”

To celebrate the first sunny days of spring, up-and-coming German electronic music producer Nicolas Janco, aka Parra for Cuva, is releasing a brand new EP featuring collaborations with fellow producer Mr Gramo and vocalist Anna Naklab. The 3-track EP, titled Fading Nights, strikes a perfect balance between pop, deep house, ambient and minimal. Naklab’s beautiful heartfelt vocals sound mellow and soothing against the backdrop of hypnotizing beats, soaring melodies and ethereal synths.

Equally influenced by Italian avant-garde pianist Ludovico Einaudi and British musician/DJ Bonobo, Parra for Cuva started his musical training with two years of piano improvisation lessons, but quickly moved on to electronic music. After relocating to Berlin, he bought his first digital audio workstation and recorded his a few piano compositions. Now backed by French hip label Délicieuse Records he is ready to share his tunes with the world , so give yourself a treat and check it out!

Irish electro/house icon Róisín Murphy returns to the dance floor with the track “Simulation”, a slow pumping jam, with a vintage disco glimmer, released in late 2012 via Munich-based imprint Permanent Vacation. Produced by Richard Barratt, the song develops an enormously captivating effect over 12 minutes with a constantly swelling beat and vocal performance.

The official release includes a remix by fellow Irish man and rising star of house music Mano Le Tough, as well as a shorter dub version provided by Eric Kupper.

MNDR, aka Amanda Warner and Peter Wade, first teamed up in 2008 after discovering a mutual love of experimental pop music. Their debut album, Feed Me Diamonds, is the result of their tireless efforts to translate raw emotions into music that grooves without excess glitter. The title track is a throbbing passionate song, which Warner says is directly influenced by performance artist Marina Abramovic.

Young indie pop 5-piece Coastal Cities have announced the release of their new double A-side single “Entropic” / “Nothing Ever Changes”, out June 3 on Once Upon A Time Records. The first song to surface “Entropic” is a fresh and addictive track which has summer vibes pumping through its veins. It was produced by Hugh Worskett (Delphic) and mixed by Adrian Bushby (The Rapture, Two Door Cinema Club).

Husband and wife duo Amarante, aka Jysi and Josh Hewitt, have been creating, recording and producing their music themselves in Fresno, CA, since 2011. Their new album Udana Prana opens the door to new musical directions, adding touches of folk and hints of acoustic pop to their subdued ambient sound.

British duo Mount Kimbie have a new album all wrapped up and ready to go! Cold Spring Fault Less Youth is due for release on May 27th 2013 on Warp Records and the first cut from the new record is “Made To Stray”, possibly their best and most hypnotic track to date. It comes with a trippy, psychedelic video produced by Australian artist Leif Podhajsky, who also designed the album’s cover art.

Formed in early 2011 as a side project for singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Kenny Vasoli, Vacationer is a unique combination of hypnotic electronic beats, soft vocals and serenity-inducing sonic arrangements. Think of it as Beach House meets the Balearic vibe of Washed Out, sprinkled with the playfulness of Body Language.

Following the success of his critically acclaimed debut full-length Gone, Vasoli is back with a 6-track remix EP for latest single “Good As New”, released via Downtown Records. The EP features reworks by the likes of Data Romance, Silent Rider, Les Professionnels, Shotgun Wedding, Geographer and Ghost Beach.

For the record, Vacationer previously released a compilation of remixes for the single “Trip”, which featured some pretty amazing productions, including a blissful dreamy remix by Teen Daze.

Pigeon are a five piece live electronic/dance/pop group based in Brisbane, Australia. They released their second EP, Fortunes, at the end of 2012, followed by headline and support tours with Van She and Tijuana Cartel, and a nomination for a Queensland Music Award.

The band recently shared a brand new video, directed by Matthew Earl and produced by Richard Zhang, for their latest single “Encounters”. The song pulls no punches as it starts with siren-like synths and gradually builds into a massive party anthem.
