Uncommon Events: A Minnie Mouse Birthday Celebration

I am so excited to share my little La La's Minnie Mouse birthday celebration with you today! Minnie is her absolute favorite, so this was our only choice for her big shindig!

The tables were set for her to share a sweet picnic lunch with all her friends. Of course, they needed little mouse ears and hands for the perfect Minnie play date!

I fell in love with these black and white polka dot gable boxes from Pocket Full of Glitter. They came with the ribbon and a personalized tag that I put on the favors. So cute! She has tons of adorable designs in her shop!

We kept with the pink,black, white, and dots at the sweets table, too!

Since we held the party at a playground, we needed to narrow down the actual party space a bit. We hung a string of tissue pom poms from two trees and it really helped to focus in on the space.

We put fun polka dot balloons at the entrance to the actual playground. Nothing screams fun like polka dotted balloons!

Here is little La La ready and waiting for her friends to arrive! She was all giggly, as usual! Once everyone got there, the children ran for the swings and slides and then not too seconds later...

Rain! Not a drop here and a drop there, but a full on rain storm! Thankfully we had a gym to run to and we just grabbed everything and set up the tables in there! The kids didn't mind a bit!

They dressed as pint sized Minnie and Mickeys, ate goodies, ran, jumped, rode Little Tykes cars, and had a ball!

La La said all of her thank you's and everyone went home tuckered out with their sweet Minnie coloring books. We got everything packed up and the rain stopped, of course!

Lucky... { A Four-Leaf Clover Towel for a Friend }

Have you ever considered how lucky you really are?

I do, but not nearly as often as I should. Last night the hubs and I went out for a little post-Valentine's dinner. It was so good to get away for a bit. After we enjoyed our quiet meal {hallelujah!}, we grabbed a couple of fortune cookies on the way out.

Here is what mine read....

Over the last year or two... I have needed good friends... and God delivered them in abundance!

As I sat down today to make a birthday gift for one of those sweet friends, I knew exactly what I would sew for her. She loves to cook and she also is SO good about decorating for holidays, so a festive kitchen towel was in order! The four leaf clover represents St. Patrick's Day, but more than that it symbolizes luck. I wanted her to know how lucky I am and how blessed I am to have her in my life!

I am one lucky lady and blessed beyond measure!

Uncommon Events: Pretty Cake Stands { A Tutorial }

If there is one thing I love about styling parties, it has to be the sweets table! If you are planning out the table design, you will need to arrange your items at varying heights to keep the look interesting and polished.

Now, I am a cake stand lover, but my budget does not allow for one in every shape, color and size. So, I decided that I needed to make one or four (hee hee!) that I can embellish for a particular event. They ended up being pretty easy to make and I even used a power tool... a drill! Now, for all of you ladies who can rock a sander or saw super for you, but I was just excited that I didn't drill the stand to my deck! :)

Here is how I made them...

Cake Stand Tutorial

Supplies:

furniture legs (I got mine from Home Depot)

rectangle or square 1 inch thick wood for the top

smaller square plaque for the base (Hobby Lobby)

drill and drill bits

spray paint

screws

Step One. The first thing you will want to do is drill all of the pilot holes. A pilot hole is where you drill a small hole into the wood where you will insert the screw. It helps to make sure the wood won't split! You will need to drill one in the middle of the base piece, the top piece, and at the top of the furniture leg.

Step Two. Now you will screw the furniture leg right into the base piece. The legs come with one screw already attached at the bottom, so this is a super easy part!

Step Three. For this step, you will insert the screw into the pilot hole in the top and attach it to the furniture leg. Just about all done!

Step Four. Painting time! You will want to sand the cake stand to make sure your paint will go on smoothly. Next, add a few coats of spraypaint in your favorite color. Now you have a nice, fully functional cake stand for a fraction of the cost!

At this point I could leave well enough alone, and use the stands as they are. But.... well, you know me... I have to fancy them up a little! Here are a couple of ways I have decorated them for events that I have styled, but the possibilities are endless...

My girls are totally girly, but every now and again they want to break out of their princess crowns and save the world! When my oldest saw these valentines from Zakka Life... she was sold! Now, they had to get all frilly, of course!

No-Sew Chevron Valentine Pillow { A Tutorial }

Hey Y'all! This is a little something for all of you who have not entered into the land of the sewing machine!

Remember my chevron door plaque? Well, I thought she needed a little company! Using two red napkins from Target and the leftover chevron fabric from my plaque project, I was able to make a pretty little Valentine pillow. Now my porch is complete!

Here are the details...

No-Sew Chevron Valentine Pillow

Supplies:

2 napkins that are the same size

scraps of fabric for the hearts

rick rack (mine was Target $ spot)

hot glue gun and glue

heart pattern

pillow form

Heat 'n Bond

Step One: The first thing you want to do is iron both napkins and your decorative fabric.

Once you have done this you want to iron the Heat ' n Bond to the decorative fabric (I recommend following the directions on the package). Then, you will trace your hearts onto the paper side of the Heat'n Bond and cut it out.

Step Two: Your next step is to fold the rick rack over so that it will make a really wide V. This will make it dip down further on the pillow, but still lay flat. Now you can glue the rick rack to the front of the pillow. I used the Heat'n Bond for this part, but the glue would work fine.

Step 3: After your rick rack has cooled, you want to peel the paper off of the back of your hearts and iron them in place. Time to piece it all together!

Step Four: Match your two towels together and begin gluing along the seam (the raised edge). Go slow and pinch together and you go until you have three of the four sides glued and cooled. Place your pillow form inside the two napkins through the opening. Now, glue the final side and you are done!

Crazy easy and crazy cute! My favorite combo!

Chevron Heart Door Decor...{ A Tutorial }

So, do you put anything special on your door at Valentine's ? I decided to create a little something special for ours...

Today I am going to share our Chevron Heart Plaque tutorial with you!

Chevron Heart Plaque Tutorial

Supplies Needed:

heart shaped wooden sign

fabric

spray adhesive

exacto knife

cutting mat

ribbon

modge podge (opt)

Before applying the fabric, I cut the ribbon handle off of my plaque and coated the plain side with spray adhesive. Then, I laid my fabric (this one is a cool chevron kitchen towel from Target) on top and made sure the pattern was going in the right direction. You will want to smooth from the middle of the heart out to the sides until the heart is completely adhered to the fabric. Let dry 15-20 minutes.

Carefully, turn your heart over and place on a cutting mat. Now, trace the edge of the heart with an exacto knife. Be sure to use enough pressure to completely cut through the fabric.

At this point you can add your ribbon for hanging or you can choose to seal your heart with modge podge. Since this was going to hang on my front door, I decided to use one coat of modge podge for protection from the elements. Let this dry completely.

Add ribbon to the heart by threading it through a pre-drilled hole and attach to your door with a thumbtack. All done!

Hearts and Chalk...{Garnet Hill Inspired Chalkboard Banner}

As I was browsing the aisle of my favorite hangout { Hobby Lobby }...

Ok...first you have to understand that HL is very close to my kid's schools, and sometimes you just have 15 minutes extra before carpool! That's my disclaimer for frequent trips there!

Anyway...I saw all of these Valentine's crafts and hanging right in the middle of those black painted "scratch-off thingies" were these little hearts...

I almost walked by until I realized they were in fact CHALKBOARD hearts! Super Cute!! I had just seen a sweet little chalkboard banner in the Garnet Hill catalog!

So...at 30% off I snatched up one little $4.99 bag { before discount } of 12!!

Here is how I made my super cute banners {yep, 2!!}...

Start by punching two holes in each chalkboard heart { place them just below the level of the deep dip in the heart so that they will hang correctly!}

Next, weave twine {jute} through the hearts. HINT: I always leave lots of extra twine on the ends in case I want to move the banner somewhere else.

Thread the number of hearts on that you will need { I placed 9 on one banner and 3 on the other} !

Simple and sweet!!

Welcome to our "Love Is In The Air" Valentine's Series!

Today, Trish and I have a sweet little idea to share with all of you...

In our home, Valentine's Day is about love and family. So I wanted to create something that represented us and one of our family's favorite Bible verses.

I had seen the cutest little peg people display over at eighteen25, you can check it out here, and I knew I wanted to create one of my own, sweet family!

So, I simply purchased the peg people { I got mine at AC Moore and Hobby Lobby } and created my own sweet family! I made a mom, dad, little girl, and little boy. I could not find a mom peg person, so I simply put an extra piece of wood under one of the little girl pegs to make her a little taller { it was a round piece found in the unfinished wood section of HL }.

I glued my little family to a square base and spray painted everyone "heirloom white" { my favorite }. I added a little red heart to the little boy {my son}! What a sweet reminder of LOVE of family!

Next I added my "family" to my new favorite home decor item...my standing clipboard!! I found a fabulous tutorial over at the Shanty-2-Chic blog {incredible blog, you should visit!}

I love a project with minimal supplies { the green candlestick cup was not originally green, it was a leftover from another project! }.

One change I made was to put wood filler in the candlestick cup. I wanted more surface area for the glue to adhere to!

Once I had it all put together based on Shanty-2-Chic's tutorial, I simply glued a sweet little mini clothespin to the front! p.s. I went back a little later and added one of those little, red hearts to the clothespin! Super cute!

I finished off the vignette with a sweet printable and you can have one too ...

Hello to all of you
Uncommonly wonderful readers- I'm Cameron from Homemade by Cameron, where I
share a lot of DIY tutorials from sewing and home decor to cleaning supplies,
stuff I like, and a little bit of personal stuff.

This is me and my family –
an amazing husband and two of the cutest kids ever.

They are everything I never knew I always wanted, to paraphrase "Fools Rush In". I love crafting with my kids, and my husband puts up with all the “supplies”
we need to keep ourselves in projects!

I am excited to be showing you sweet little Valentine’s wreath tutorial

today. As any of you who already follow me know, I kind of have a lot of burlap – so this project will utilize just a

little bit of that!

I did make my own wreath form – I thought it would be easier than

it turned out to be! I did find some hot tips . . . after I was done. So, use a

serrated knife instead of scissors and it won’t look like someone chewed

through your noodle/pipe insulation!

OK, to make your own wreath form, choose which kind of foam you

want to wrestle – pool noodle or pipe insulation. I chose pipe insulation because it is

January, and there are not a lot of pool noodles for sale at this time. . .

also, it’s a little thinner, and I wanted to make a small wreath. Pipe insulation comes in 6’ lengths from our

local hardware store for a couple bucks, so it’s a pretty good deal, too. I cut a 32” piece off – to come up with this

magic number, I kind of free-formed my wreath to see how much of the pipe

insulation I needed to make the size of wreath I wanted. . .precise, I

know. I started with the bottom of my

wreath – hold the two ends of the pip insulation together and decide how sharp

of angle you want to cut for the base of the heart. The further from 90 degrees you cut, the narrower

your heart will be.

To make the curves

of the heart, you’ll need to cut several crescent notches out of the INTERIOR

of each curve – I just eyeballed these (again with that precision!) so I

actually cut one more than I need on my first side – whoops! I knew my awesome and forgiving burlap would

cover this glitch, so I wasn’t too sad that I’d already messed up. The serrated knife would have really come in

handy at this point. Next time, I’ll do

my research BEFORE I sit down to do a project!

The last cut you need to make is for the top of the heart – cut a v-shaped

piece out of the center of your pipe insulation on the EXTERIOR of the

curve. The narrower the v-shape, the

narrower your heart will be.

Now, get

out your glue gun and open a window, because the combination of hot glue and

melting foam produces some wicked fumes.

I glued the base together first and taped liberally with masking tape to

hold in place. Then, I glued the top

together. More tape here – lots of tape! I also put a little glue in some of my

notches to make the heart shape curvier.

I may have passed out for a minute or two at this point – those fumes

really were noxious. Maybe that’s a “pro”

for buying a form at the store!

At any

rate, this all firmed up pretty quickly, so I started on the fun part –

wrapping! First, I cut several strips of

burlap 6 ½” wide by the width of the fabric.

I chose this width because that’s how wide my ruler is. I folded it in half lengthwise (so I

had a strip 3 ¼” wide). Starting at the

base, I wrapped the burlap around once and glued it to itself (no more melting

foam fumes for me!). I made sure this

piece went slightly beyond the tip of the heart’s base.

Just keep wrapping until you run out of

burlap or get to the center of the heart.

I got a little fancy here and stopped wrapping just short of the center,

then started with a new piece at the base on the other side.

When I got to the middle, I folded my burlap so that both sides were folded under to make the center of the heart’s top look nice and neat.

For hanging, I used

some hemp twine – first, tie knots in each end of the twin, then pin in place

and make sure your wreath hangs straight (or crooked – however you’d like it to

look!).

Then, I folded a couple of

scraps of burlap up so I’d have some coverage for my attachment method. Put COPIOUS glue on top of the twine knots,

then topped with those folded burlap scraps.

Pieces of felt or fabric in a fun

shape would be great for this step, too.

Finally – too embellish or not to embellish – this wreath needed a

little something, but what? Because I’m

a crazy crafter, I had these two crocheted flowers just laying about (I crochet

when I watch TV – I have an inability to just sit and watch TV – it seems so

unproductive).

But which one to use –

green? It’s nice and bright, and I like

it because I’m into non-traditional Valentine’s décor.

The white is pretty, too. It was made using a fuzzier yarn, which makes a nice

contrast to the burlap. I like them both

– which do you prefer?

Uncommonly Yours... { Link Party #13 } and a Lesson on Love

Welcome to our "Uncommonly Yours" link party! This is a special week here on Uncommon, as we have been celebrating Valentine's Day with our "Love is in the Air" series. Today we wanted to share something that we posted last year on how to teach our children about love in the 14 days leading up to Valentine's Day. Then, we will show off our favorite Valentine projects from last week and get to the party!

Here is an excerpt from last year's post....

Valentine's is the perfect time for me to sit down with my two children (my beautiful daughter is now 11 and my adorable son is 8) and breakdown 1 Corinthians 13:4-8...

"Love is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes,always perseveres. Love never fails"

I have it broken down into 14 days. Each day, starting February 1st, we read the verses and discuss the virtue for that day. As my children continue to grow both in age and maturity, I find it refreshing to listen to them discuss what they think each part of the verses mean to them. The questions can sometimes be quite challenging to answer as well!

Last year I made our LOVE tree. I have it on our kitchen island where breakfast is served. Each small glass heart ornament has a part of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 attached to it. My children enjoy finding the one for each day. It is my prayer that even if they do not appear to always be listening, that they will someday get it, whether that is tomorrow or 10 years from now. It is my desire for my children and family, that they will both feel LOVED and know how to LOVE...unconditionally...

Love is in the Air with Shabby Love

Welcome back to our "Love is in the Air" Valentine's series! Today we have one of our favorite bloggers joining us today... Melissa from Shabby Love! She is so unbelievably talented and we are so excited to show you her beautiful work. Here she is...

Hi everyone! I'm Melissa from Shabby Love. It's so great being here with you today! Thank you Bonnie and Trish for this amazing opportunity!! Today I'll be sharing my rustically romantic Valentine's Day decor with you!

I wanted to stick with a neutral and natural theme and add a small punch of color for a little romance, so here is what I came up with:

I made tiny rosettes out of crepe paper streamers to dress up white bead board hearts.

I created another heart shaped wreath using more bead board, chicken wire, and branches cut into wood slices.

To add a slight industrial feel to the vignette, I placed a cloche on top of an old pulley reel.

I hand sewed the three hearts. The muslin one with the Jane Austen silhouette is my favorite!

Love is in the Air with Southern Lovely

Happy Monday everyone! We are continuing our Love is in the Air series today with one of the biggest sweethearts we've met through blogging.... Lindsay from Southern Lovely!

Hello there. I am excited to be here today in the wonderful space of Trish & Bonnie! I adore them both, so it is an honor to be sharing with their lovely readers! I'm Lindsay, from Southern Lovely. Lots of different projects are shared over at my place. It's a little of this & that, but all of it is a great creative outlet for me. :)

Today I am going to share a fun little Valentine project that is super easy to create. Meet my button burlap heart. :)

Supplies needed: Canvas

Paint

Tape

Burlap

Buttons

Hot glue

Vinyl (optional)

Start with a blank canvas. Using painters tape, I measured, then marked where I wanted my stripes to be. Then place your tape down, & paint in every other line. You will want to get the sides of the canvas as well, I had to go back & re-tape & paint them, since it looks a lot better that way.

On the burlap, I traced a heart & cut. Now it's time to glue on the buttons. My suggestion is apply a line of glue on your burlap, and add a bunch of buttons at once. It goes much more quickly that way. I would also suggest going around the heart with the buttons, then working your way in.

Once that is finished, hot glue your button burlap heart to your canvas.

Add the final touch with your vinyl letters & your artwork is complete!

Welcome to our "Love is in the Air" blog series! Today we would like to welcome Danielle from Blissful and Domestic! She is such a sweetheart we are so glad to have her here! Y'all are going to love her idea!

Here she is...

Hi Ladies and gents! I am Danielle and I am so excited to be here today!

My blogging home is Blissful and Domestic.

This is where I share all my adventures in having a Homemade Year.

Yep that means everything Homemade!

From food to clothes. I am starting a BIG adventure with my family and am very excited to do this.

I also homeschool my muchkins and try to make each day fun with them.

This is especially true during the holidays. I like to make every holiday BIG in my house.
Christmas and Thanksgiving are not the only big hitters in my house.
We like to countdown and do all kinds of fun stuff for everything.
Since Valentine's day is just around the corner, I am in red and pink mode.

Hearts everywhere and lots of ideas for our Valentine's Day Countdown are being prepared.

Last year during our Valentine's Day countdown we did an activity, which I thought was pretty stellar.

I am going to share that with all you lovelies today.

I call this activity "Heart Attacking". When I was 12 years old some girls, from church, did this to me and I have never forgotten it. It is seriously such a nice way to tell someone you LOVE them.

This is how you "Heart Attack" Someone.

Start out by getting those littles ready for some crafting.
Cut out a bunch of hearts and write love notes on them.

I wrote some key "love words" on a dry erase boards to help the littles with spelling.
This was a BIG help to them.

Let them use stickers, crayons, markers, etc.
Let them have fun with it.

Glitter is always a plus too!
I don't know a kid who doesn't love creating with glitter.
It is way too fun!

We put a few hearts on sticks as well.

Once you have made all your hearts
decide who you will be heart attacking and make them a treat.

We decided to "heart attack" my grandmother.
We made her some yummy sugar cookies
I will share the recipe at the end of this post.

Now that your hearts and treats are done
it is time to be sneaky.......

We quietly taped hearts to her door
well as quiet as two little kids can be when they're giggling and laughing

We also put the hearts on sticks in the ground near her walkway

We left her treat in a Valentine's Day tub I purchased at the dollar store
and left it by her door step.

(some of the hearts have Hershey Kisses taped to them)

Now is the time to knock on the door and dash to the car.

This is probably THE most fun part for my kids.

Seeing if they can make it to the car, before the door is opened is seriously a blast.

This is seriously the most fun for littles. It teaches them about serving and showing kindness to others. This is a tradition of ours we do each year. I can't wait for us to do it again.

Sharing some love with our family and friends is the greatest thing we can do
I hope you get a chance to do these for someone you love this Valentine's Day.

Oh and before I go,
Here is the reciepe we made for my Grandma. These are THE BEST Sugar Cookies EVER!
We use them for every holiday.

Bake up some goodness and enjoy!

Blissful and Domestic Sugar Cookies

1 cup of butter/margarine

1 cup of sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 large egg

2tbl baking powder

3 cups flour

Blend melted butter/margarine and sugar in a bowl until creamy. Add egg and vanilla. Blend well. Add your baking powder and blend. Last add your flour 1 cup at a time. The last cup may be hard for your beaters. Use your hands if you needs.

Now let me give you a few tips on doing cookie cutters with littles:

First off I use Margarine and my cookies tasted better

than when made with butter..

Second, let your littles do as much as they can.

Although it may be messy, they will so enjoy it!

I taped parchment paper onto my counter. This is where we rolled out the dough and used the cookie cutters. This makes for a very easy cleanup afterwards.

Also spray your hands and your littles hands with cooking spray before picking up the dough.
This prevents the dough from sticking to your hands.

And lastly sprinkle flour on the dough and the parchment paper

before flattening your dough.

All these tips helped me when making these. They made it so much easier.

Love One Another { A Valentine Pillow }

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." John 13:34

I am so eager to share the new Valentine's pillow that I made! Not only do I love it's simplicity, but the message behind it has been weighing on my heart for some time now.

If you want to skip on down to the craft...that is ok!

Next week will be one year since my Dad has passed and I am feeling a dozen emotions all at once! These last twelve months I have felt like I was anywhere from six years old to in my fifties! At the end of some days I would think about all I had done that day... potty training my toddler, homework with my second grader, meeting with attorneys, closing two businesses while running my own, blogging, and at the same time feeling like I just wanted my daddy. All of those things can really make a girl's head spin!

By far, the most difficult thing I had to deal with was the realization that I couldn't fix this and I am such a fixer and family peacemaker! I couldn't take anyone's pain away, I couldn't bring him back, and I just couldn't make peace out of this. Whatever pretend control I thought I had was thrown out the window on a daily basis!

In God's wonderful way and in His own timing, I began to hear... just love one another.

Don't fix ... just love!

Duh! It was just a quiet whisper at first, but then that verse just kept popping into my head! I'm learning how to let go of the fixin', but it is slow work for this old gal! This pillow will sit out as a great reminder of what we are called to do.

Now.... back to the craft!

This was such an easy pillow to make and I just love how it turned out! I cut out fabric to make a 16x16 pillow with an envelope closure (Creative Maven has a great tutorial if you are looking for one). Then I created a stencil on my Cricut. I cut it out on freezer paper and ironed it on my pillow front and got to painting! I used acrylic paint mixed with a fabric medium to paint on the pillow.

I love using freezer paper stenciling, you don't even have to paint in the lines! After the paint dried I lifted off the freezer paper, ironed, and sewed my pillow together. That's all! Super easy!

"Bonnie and I are sister-in-laws who have a great deal in common. We love God, sewing, decorating, and pretty much all things crafty. This all started when Bonnie made my senior prom dress (the gold sequins still pop out of our sewing machine). We are stay-at-home moms who run a part-time business,Uncommon Designs. Our business is comprised of our blog and the shop where we sell our handmade items (such as fabric, kitchen textiles, holiday decor, and accessories).

Over the last six months we have really focused on our blog and have enjoyed it more than we ever imagined! Our apothecary jars have always been a hit throughout blogland and we also are known for our craft tutorials and party styling! Some Fun Facts About Us...

1. We both graduated from Clemson University {Go Tigers!} and our husbands did as well ....and both sets of our parents did too!! Needless to say, our children feel like they have no choice! ;)

2. We both HATE having our pictures taken...think Chandler from "Friends" in the engagement episode! { if you haven't seen it, you should, it's funny stuff!}

3. We both are computer challenged...we have quite a few "Talk to me like I'm two!" conversations a day...one a year age went like this.." HTML what? I have no idea what you are talking about!" Baby steps...

4. We may or may not be the types of moms who let their children get mohawks for good grades, dye a purple streak in for good grades, and eat ice cream for dinner! Hey...it is only hair and who doesn't love ice cream!

5.We both have a slight addiction to modern quilting fabric, burlap, and beautiful trim! We can spend hours picking out fabric for a project!

Pottery Barn Knock-Off...{ LOVE wall art plaque }

So, as I was browsing through the pages of the new Pottery Barn catalogue, I spied with my little eye, this...

Pure, sweet, simple loveliness!!

However, it is quite large and well...pricey.

Soooo...off to Hobby Lobby I went! Strolling through the home accent clearance section with my 9 year old son, I knew I had a very limited amount of time. Who knew within 2 minutes I would spy this little baby...

Perfect size for over my cook top! The wooden letters were also a Hobby Lobby buy on the same trip. Needless to say, someone knew my sweet little guy was only going to last so long, because it was literally a 10 minute trip. Sweet!

Bonus...take a look at the price tag...

At first I was going to remove the tray handles, but decided to leave them, they made it a little different and able to actually be used as a tray.

The first step was to simply glue the wooden letters on the tray { I used liquid nails }...

Next I took the handles off and spray painted the whole tray and letters with my fave...heirloom white! Love that it is a pure creamy white! I waited for it to dry, put the handles back on and ....

Yes...I promise I took that picture in January! { Here in the South, we can still have our pretty green ferns in January!}

I added a simple jute ribbon bow {an ETSY find! } and that's it!

I am a very neutral person by nature, but tend to LOVE a pop of color, so the tone on tone is a bit of a stretch for me! Something in me just wants to paint it red! {maybe that's just my crafting ADD talking! }

So sweet, simple, and easy!
