We’re excited to announce the results of yet another successful Undie Run Challenge. In the 2006-2007 school year, we created the first philanthropic Undie Run and we had an inclination that this was going to be pretty special. It surprised us when we gained this much exposure and helped so many people so quickly! We’ve helped create Undie Runs at over 50 schools across the nation and we wish we could include every school in our Undie Run Challenge, but that day may not be too far in the future. With your help, maybe your school or city will be the next to join the 2012 Undie Run Challenge! Lastly, we send out a huge thank you to Virgin Mobile for giving us the ability to produce safe, fun and sexy Undie Runs from east coast to west. Below are the results of the 2011 Undie Run Challenge!

- ASU donated 8,147 lbs of clothes to Arizona Helping Hands, Standup 4 Kids, Central Arizona Shelter Services (CASS), & Andre House. As a bonus, they also brought in 3,000 lbs of food that was donated to Move for Hunger & St. Mary’s.

- Minnesota donated 2,130 pounds of clothing to the Salvation Army.

- Maryland donated 1,265 pounds of clothing to the Salvation Army.

- NYU donated 1,525 pounds of clothing to Green Chimneys.

- Boston donated 2,480 pounds of clothing to Bridge Over Troubled Waters.

- UIC doanted 440 pounds of clothing to the Salvation Army.

- UWash donated 360 pounds of clothing to the Salvation Army.

AND THE TOTAL CLOTHING DONATED FOR THE VIRGIN MOBILE UNDIE RUN CHALLENGE IS 16,347 POUNDS. That’s a big pile! Congratulations to ASU for donating the most clothes in this year’s Undie Run Challenge. Thank you to all who participated and we’ll be seeing you for a bigger and better Undie Run Challenge in 2012!

SEATTLE — With finals just around the corner at the University of Washington, students need to find a way to unwind.

Students compete in ‘Undie Run’ for charity

College students across the country are stripping down to their underwear to compete in the annual Undie Run, a charitable event that sends donated clothes to those in need. KING’s Joe Fryer reports.

Our very own, Kyle Kuhlmann, is interviewed by Youth Radio and talks about founding the philanthropic Undie Run. Youth Radio was founded in 2006 by Luke Jones, who co-hosts the show alongside Maleeha Kamal. It currently airs in the Houston area, and is produced by We Are New Voices, a non-profit organization that was created to cultivate students’ writing skills and equip them with the tools they need to communicate.

Give New York’s representative, Anthony Weiner, a break. He just wanted to be in Seattle’s Undie Run! If you didn’t know, Mr. Weiner’s twitter account was apparently hacked and the hacker sent a female in Seattle a picture of a man in just his undies. Good one, hacker, if that is your real name.

Kudos to thousands of students across the continent who are streaking around campus this month in their underwear. The Undie Run is an annual awareness event to raise funds and clothing donations for people in need. It seems its three founders have hit on a winning combination, as they express on their website a collective fondness for charity, college and running around in nothing but skivvies.
