PC game of this year. Grand Theft Auto V (abbreviated as GTA V) is an action-adventure, open world video game published by Rockstar Games and developed by Rockstar North ( Obviously, You know this). It was released on 17 September 2013 (My birthday) for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, on 18 November 2014 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on 14 April 2015 for Microsoft Windows. The game is the first main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series after Grand Theft Auto IV (2008). Set within the fictional state of San Andreas (based on Southern California), the single-player story follows three criminals and their efforts to commit heists while under pressure from a government agency. The open world design lets players freely roam San Andreas's open countryside and fictional city of Los Santos, based on Los Angeles. Looks like every other GTA game. Hell no!

Overview :

The game can be played from either a 1st-person or 3rd-person view. Players control the three lead protagonists throughout the single-player mode, switching between them both during missions and on his will. Composed of the San Andreas open countryside area and the fictional city of Los Santos, the world of Grand Theft Auto V is much larger in area than earlier entries in the series.The world is fully exploitable from the beginning of the game without restrictions, but core gameplay content is unlocked with single player progress.To accommodate the map's size, the game introduces vehicles absent in its predecessor Grand Theft Auto IV, such as fixed-wing aircraft. In combat, auto-aim and a cover system can be used as assistance against enemies. Now it looks bigger, doesn't it.

Many new improvements have been added to the game:

The single-player mode lets players control three characters: Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips and Franklin Clinton.Some missions are completed with only one character and others feature two or three. Players may switch between the protagonists at will by means of a directional compass on the HUD. The game may switch between characters automatically in single-player missions to complete certain objectives. A character's compass avatar will flash red if he is in danger and needs help, and flash white if he has a strategic advantage. Though players complete missions as any of the three protagonists, the more difficult heist missions require aid from AI-controlled accomplices with unique skill sets, such as computer hacking or driving. If an accomplice survives a successful heist, they take a cut from the cash reward and may be available for later missions with improvements to their unique skills. The game encourages differentiation in heist mission strategies—for example, in a holdup mission, players may either stealthily subdue civilians with an incapacitating agent or conspicuously storm the venue with guns drawn.

Each character has a set of eight skills that represent their ability in certain areas such as shooting and driving. Though players improve characters' skills as they play, each character has a skill with expertise by default (i.e. Trevor's flying skill). The eighth "special" skill determines the effectiveness in performing an ability that is unique to each respective character. Michael enters bullet time in combat, Franklin slows down time while driving, and Trevor deals twice as much damage to enemies while taking half as much in combat. A meter on each character's HUD depletes when an ability is being used and regenerates when players perform skilful actions (for example, drifting in vehicles as Franklin or pulling off headshots as Michael).

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is an open world action-adventure stealth video game developed by Kojima Productions, directed, designed, co-produced and co-written by Hideo Kojima, published by Konami for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It was released worldwide on September 1, 2015. The game is the eleventh canonical and final installment in the Metal Gear series and the fifth within the series' chronology. It serves as a sequel to Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, and a continuation of the narrative established there,and a prequel to the original Metal Gear game.

Overview :

In The Phantom Pain, players take the role of Big Boss, under the nickname Punished "Venom" Snake, in an open world environment. The gameplay elements were largely unchanged from Ground Zeroes, meaning that players will have to sneak from several points in the game world, avoiding enemy guards, and remaining undetected. Included in Snake's repertoire are binoculars, maps, pistols, assault rifles and explosives. Following one of the series traditions, The Phantom Pain encourages players to progress through the game without killing, using non-lethal weapons such as tranquilizer darts to subdue enemies. Players may traverse the game world with vehicles such as cars and tanks, in addition to traveling on foot or on horseback, and as certain locations are mountainous, players can opt to scale a rock face as a short cut. They may also call for friendly helicopter support against enemy soldiers in a combat alert or send commandos to scout a target area. Quiet - The Female Sniper

As in Peace Walker, The Phantom Pain will offer a base-building feature that allows players to develop weapons and items from their home base. Recruitment of enemy soldiers and prisoners has also returned for this purpose, allowing the base to grow through organization. The player is given the option to access their base from their real-life smartphones and other devices via a companion app. Unlike in Peace Walker where players can only see Mother Base from the air, they can control Snake as he explores the complex on foot. The Fulton surface-to-air recovery system, an item introduced into gameplay in Peace Walker, returns as well, with players now able to transport captured soldiers and other objects such as animals and vehicles back to Mother Base. Money for upgrading Mother Base's defenses and technology can be collected from objects found all over the map, such as diamonds, shipping containers, and special blueprint boxes, as well as sending recruited soldiers on combat missions around the world. The income is invested on upgrades to the appearance and abilities, weapons and equipment of Snake, his AI companions, and vehicles. For example, Snake's prosthetic arm can be modified with a taser, echolocation function, or remote controls that allow it to fly as a drone.

The enemy AI has also improved in terms of situational awareness. If players frequently use particular weapons or tactics to subdue enemy soldiers, repeats of the mission will see the enemy increase in numbers and be outfitted with better equipment; for example, the frequent use of headshots will see enemy soldiers with metal helmets to make targeting the head harder.

Series director Hideo Kojima revealed that the game has a new day-and-night cycle that runs in real-time, and that the time taken to travel from one location to another will affect the time of day when the player arrives at their destination. The cycle also fasts-forwards when Snake lights a "Phantom Cigar", a type of electronic cigar; a digital silver Seikowatch panel appears on screen to denote time. The passage of time enables players to analyze the movement of marked enemy forces in the area, such as shifts in sentry patrols and individual patrol routes. Weather effects, such as sandstorms and rain, will also affect the gameplay environment by, for example, reducing visibility or masking the sound of footsteps.

A new game design direction will allow the player to choose in what order the story events take place by selecting missions in any order they like, and yet still "understand the encompassing message by the end". Konami confirmed that the playable world in The Phantom Pain is two hundred times larger than that of Ground Zeroes, featuring a variety of climate conditions and environments. This allows the players to freely roam the map while proceeding to either story missions or sidequests, as in other games with nonlinear gameplay. In addition, players who have previously played Ground Zeroes are able to import save data into The Phantom Pain and gain special perks.

Overview :

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is more than 30 times larger than previous Witcher games, requiring players to sail by boat to some locations and ride on horseback to others. However, fast traveling around the areas of known locations is also possible. The Witcher 3 was described as "20% bigger than Skyrim". Many actions the player performs affect the world, with many of the quests having a number of options on how to complete them, and differing outcomes. CD Projekt RED anticipated approximately 100 hours for the completion of the game, 50 of them belonging to side quests, and 50 belonging to the main story.

Wild Hunt improved on several aspects from past games. The fighting system from previous games was significantly revamped. Wild Hunt introduces some new mechanics, such as the ability to sense nearby objectives, people and resources ("witcher sense"), combat on horseback and at sea, swimming underwater and the use of a crossbow. The day and night cycle influences some monsters and their powers, similar to the common mythological motif of a werewolf gaining powers during the night of a full moon. The game also features a dynamic beard growth system, in which the beard grows as he spends time in the world. Ciri, an exceptional sword fighter with mythical powers from the Witcher novels, is a playable character in the game. Gwent is an in-game collectible card game, which replaces the dice games from the previous two Witcher titles.

Nuclear Throne is a 2015 top-down shooter and roguelike video game by independent video game developer Vlambeer. Early prototypes of the game were distributed through Steam's early access program in 2013. Nuclear Throne released on December 5, 2015, for Microsoft Windows, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, and Xbox One platforms.

Vlambeer's Jan Willem Nijman and Rami Ismail served as the game's designer and producer, respectively, and shared the development work. Freelancer Paul Veer, who had previously animated Vlambeer's Super Crate Box, returned to contribute art to Nuclear Throne.The game's promotional art was drawn by Justin Chan, an art student hired on the basis of his fan art for early releases of the game. Nuclear Throne 's music was composed by Jukio "Kozilek" Kallio, who had composed for several previous Vlambeer titles. A friend of Kallio's, Joonas Turner, worked on the sound effect design.

Nuclear Throne was released under Steam's early access program in 2013. Vlambeer live streamed gameplay online for the public twice a week during development. Vlambeer announced PlayStation 4 and Vita releases at the December 2015 PlayStation Experience keynote.

Pillars of Eternity is a computer role-playing game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Paradox Interactive. It was released for Microsoft Windows, OS X and Linux on March 26, 2015. The game is a spiritual successor to the critically acclaimed game series Baldur's Gate and Icewind Dale, along with the game Planescape: Torment.

The game takes place in the fantasy world of Eora, mainly inside the nation of Dyrwood. The infants in Dyrwood are plagued by a recent phenomenon in which they become "hollowborn" upon birth, meaning they are born with no soul. During the beginning of the game, the protagonist experiences an awakening of power due to a disastrous supernatural event, discovering they are a "Watcher": a person who can see souls and past lives. The objective of the game is to find out what caused their awakening and how to solve the hollowborn problem.

Overview :

The game starts with a character creation screen where the player can choose items for their playable character, such as their physical appearance, race and creed. The player can choose to play as one of the eleven available classes: fighter, barbarian, paladin, ranger, wizard, druid, monk, priest, rogue, chanter and cipher. Each of them make the gameplay different; for example, the cipher can use the soul of an enemy in order to attack them, and druids can shapeshift into a beast and cast spells. The protagonist's class can also influence the number of available dialogue options. The player may adventure with up to five other characters out of a total of eight that they can pick up on their travels. These are fleshed out characters with unique personalities and appearances. Additionally, the protagonist can hire party members which the player creates in local taverns, but at a monetary cost.

The game has optional side quests that do not advance the main plot, which feature fleshed out supporting characters and multiple outcomes. According to a writer for Digital Spy, most of these are not "fetch quests". During the game, the protagonist can build up a reputation depending on their actions. Non-playable characters will react differently to him or her depending on this, and it can also impact the outcome of certain events in the game. The game features a scouting mode in which the party can sneak, which allows the player to avoid being seen by enemies. During scouting, the party can spot hidden items and traps, which the player can disarm and use against enemies.

Damage from enemies to the player's characters have an impact on an endurance and health pool. While endurance regenerates after combat, health can only be restored by resting. The party can either set up camp, or rest in an inn. If a character in the party have their endurance drained, they are knocked out until the end of combat. If a companion has their health reduced to zero then they become permanently dead.

The player can choose from five skills to beat situations: Stealth, Athletics, Lore, Mechanics and Survival. As the player fights more creatures, then more information is added to their bestiary. This helps the player to find out information about how to attack them effectively. Early in the game, the protagonist will take over a stronghold, that acts as the party's fortress which can be upgraded.

Conclusion :

Pillars of Eternity has pulled of a great feat. It is not a major developer game but nontheless, it is one of the best RPGs released this year. You are not going to regret playing it twice. Graphics are not that superb but still it is a great game to play. You will definitely think of becoming a watcher after playing this game.

Players have the ability to roam anywhere on the map, or leave a conversation at any time. They have the ability to customize weapons; the game includes over 50 base guns, which can be crafted with a variety of modifications, such as barrel types and laser focus, with over 700 modifications available. Power Armor has been redesigned to be more like a vehicle than an equipable suit of armor, and can also be modified, adding items such as a jetpack or selecting separate types of armor for each part of the suit. A new feature to the series is the ability to craft and deconstruct settlements and buildings. Players can select some in-game objects and structures, and use them to freely build their own structures. Players can build various defenses around their settlements, such as turrets and traps, to defend against random attacks.

At the beginning of the game, players are given points to spend on a character progression system called S.P.E.C.I.A.L.. The system represents seven statistics, namely strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility and luck. When players gain enough experience points to gain a new level, they unlock a new ability. When players allocate more points to a stat, more abilities can be unlocked. These perks can also be upgraded to improve the protagonist's efficiency and to further unlock new abilities. There are about 275 perks available for players to unlock. There is no level cap and the game does not end once the main story is complete.

The series also allows for the player to have a companion character follow and assist them, similar in style to Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas. There are thirteen possible companions, seven of which (Dogmeat, Codsworth, Preston Garvey, Piper Wright, Nick Valentine, John Hancock, and Deacon) must be encountered during the main quests, although only Dogmeat is required to join. For the first time in the series, these followers can interact with the environment on the player character's behalf. For example, if the player character does not have required skills to hack a terminal or pick a lock, they can order the companion to do it for them. The player may only travel with one companion at a time, although the player is accompanied by other characters in certain quests. Some of the companions can be romanced by the player.

Conclusion :

Fallout 4 is one of the greatest games released this year. It is the best among all Fallout parts. One of the best RPG games out there with a gripping story. The player controls a nascent space program operated by Kerbals, a race of small green humanoids, who have constructed a fully furnished and functional spaceport (known as the Kerbal Space Center, or KSC) on their homeworld Kerbin, which is based on Earth. Despite being shown as funny cartoon-like little green men, sometimes lacking common sense, they have shown themselves to be able to construct very well-made spacecraft parts and perform experiments.

Gameplay consists of constructing rockets and spaceplanes out of a provided set of components and launching them from the in-game space center's launch pad or runway, then going on to complete their desired mission while averting catastrophic failure, such as running out of fuel or electricity, or the spacecraft breaking apart due to structural problems, otherwise being unable to succeed. Due to the complexity of orbital physics and the development of spacecraft, the game can be difficult for new users. However, it has been praised for making difficult concepts of spaceflight accessible.

Homeworld is a real-time strategy computer game released on September 28, 1999, developed by Relic Entertainment and published by Sierra Entertainment. It was the first fully three-dimensional real-time strategy (RTS) game. Homeworld was the beginning of a series, followed by Homeworld: Cataclysm (2000) and Homeworld 2 (2003). In 2014 Homeworld: Remastered (Homeworld HD and Homeworld 2 HD remakes) were announced by the new intellectual property (IP) holder, Gearbox Software. The remakes were released on February 25, 2015. An upcoming game, titled Homeworld: Deserts of Kharak (formerly Homeworld: Shipbreakers), is currently being developed by Blackbird Interactive, scheduled for a January 2016 release. Homeworld HD was renamed to Homeworld Remastered Collection on March 6, 2014. After missing the original deadline in 2014, Homeworld Remastered Collection was released on February 25, 2015. The collection is released exclusively on the digital distributor Steam despite an announcement for multiple platforms.

Overview :

The game takes place in outer space where there is little gravity and ships may travel in any direction in the three dimensions. A few elements, such as asteroids, dust clouds and intense radiation may impair ship movements.The player may choose to play as either the Kushan or Taiidan, both online and in the single-player campaign. While each unit serves a particular function and represents a tradeoff in strength, offensive power, speed and cost, the differences between the two factions are mostly in cosmetic ship design. Parallel ships (e.g. the Kushan Assault Frigate versus the Taiidan Assault Frigate) look different but have identical vital statistics and functionality. However, each race features two unique units: The Kushan possesses Cloaking Fighter and Drone Frigate, while the Taiidan produces Defense Fighter and Defense Field Frigate.

Resources are gathered by harvesting dust clouds and mineral-rich asteroids using special resource collector ships. Resource collectors may return their harvest either to a mothership, carrier or a resource controller ship.The user interface is minimalist: The toolbar appears only when the cursor is moved to the bottom of the screen. Orders such as moving or assuming certain formations are given either from a context menu (invoked by right-click) or via hotkeys.

The inclusion of unrestricted unit movement in all three dimensions adds a tactical dynamic not encountered in typical ground based real time strategy games where movement is on a two dimensional plane. Since the area of play is generally void of significant obstacles to create "terrain", there is little emphasis on the control of a certain choke point in order to establish defensive perimeters, although minelayer corvettes can be used to create them. Despite this, the area of play is still limited to a 3 dimensional box or cube.

Conclusion :

We can simply figure out that if a game from 90s is rebuild and its story still remains gripping then the game must be a legacy. The best RTS game played personally by me Homeworld will leave you speechless. #8 on our best games list, This game's original version had won the Game of The Year award in 1999. A game that I would personally recommend you to keep in your collection.

On release, the game features 17 cars, 36 stages from three real world locations (Baumholder, Powys andArgolis), and asynchronous multiplayer. Rallycross and player versus player multiplayer modes are planned. Codemasters announced a partnership with the FIA World Rallycross Championship in July 2015.

DiRT Rally features a large amount of vehicles in a wide variety of classes. The early access version contains cars from the 1960s, 70's, 80's, Group B, Group A, Group R, 2000s and 2010s Modern Rally, Rallycross and Pikes Peak.
