Our Americas Cup trip to San Francisco was fantastic. The hotel was wonderful, meals were very good. We took part in the wine and cheese every day and in fact bought some Cowgirl Creamery cheese when we checked out. Captain C was great. His calmness and professionalism calmed our apprehensions and we really enjoyed the trip. Too bad USA lost both races. It was a most beautiful day on the bay, very light winds with little or no swell, perfect. Not the best way to watch the race though as they keep you so far from the course and the boats get lost against the city and hillside backgrounds. The TV coverage over the weekend was better to 'see' what was going on. The experience was great however and Captain C's explanations were an added bonus.

Hi Patricia,

We really enjoyed everything in San Francisco! The St Regis has very attentive staff. I spoke with a butler before we arrived to arrange a few things. He was superb! We were upgraded to a corner room. Pretty views! Simplistic and clean lines. While it was a nice room, I do see the need for a little sprucing up in the next few years. It wasn't worn down, just probably hasn't changed any since opening 8 years ago so could use a "fluff up" in the rooms. The spa was nice but small. Great massage! Truly impeccable service!!! Lovely lobby and bar area. Great breakfast. I would stay here again. However, the next time we go out I might consider the Ritz just to see how it compares. David LOVED every second!!! It was a fantastic weekend. Thank you sooooo much for your help to pull off such a wonderful surprise :). I hope all is well!
