Harv Eker, author of best seller Secrets Of the Millionaire Mind teaches people how to master the "inner game" of wealth in order to create outward success. He has a personal mission to help people realize their full potential by applying the principles he struggled to learn the hard way. These principles got him from debt to millionaire in only two and-a-half years, so I figure if he can do it, so can I. If you can grasp even a few of the principles of success he outlines, you, too, can achieve financial freedom. One of the things I learned from the seminar was that the most powerful truths are simple and indestructible; you can use them to create a foundation upon which to build your own "rich life," no matter how much or how little success you have experienced up until now. And a "rich life" is about more than just money... I have transformed my life from the inside out…now it's your turn to do the same.Find out how!http://www.millionairemind.com/a/?wid=405256&page=/preview/replay

To your happiness,

Karen

P.S. Eker suggests having multiple streams of passive income to create wealth. If you are open to another form of income, I'd love to help you with that: http://www.unlimitedwealthandfreedom.com/
Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. Each year he entered his corn in the state fair where it won a blue ribbon. One year a newspaper reporter interviewed him and learned something interesting about how he grew it. The reporter discovered that the farmer shared his seed corn with his neighbors."How can you afford to share your best seed corn with your neighbors when they are entering corn in competition with yours each year?" the reporter asked."Why sir," said the farmer, "didn't you know? The wind picks up pollen from the ripening corn and swirls it from field to field. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will steadily degrade the quality of my corn. If I am to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn."He is very much aware of the connectedness of life. His corn cannot improve unless his neighbor's corn also improves. So it is with our lives. Those who choose to live in peace must help their neighbors to live in peace. Those who choose to live well must help others to live well, for the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches. And those who choose to be happy must help others to find happiness, for the welfare of each is bound up with the welfare of all.The lesson for each of us is this: if we are to grow good corn, we must help our neighbors grow good corn. Author Unknown

Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. 'Stumbling on Happiness' by author and Harvard professor Daniel Gilbert. Unfortunately, nobody believes him. The secret, according to psychology professor Daniel Gilbert, is to ask a total stranger. "In some common situations, surprisingly, the best way to know what will make you happy is to find somebody who is already in the situation you're contemplating and see how happy they are," Gilbert told CTV.ca in a recent interview. "Obviously, you and other people are different but the differences between people seem to be relatively small." In one experiment, women predicted how much they would enjoy a "speed date" with a man. Some women were given the man's personal profile and picture while other daters only learned about the man from a previous woman's experience. "What the studies show is that when you base your prediction about how much you'll enjoy a date on the experience of a total stranger you're 50 per cent more accurate than if you look at the person's profile and see their photograph," Gilbert said. He said a person's imagination is "prone to error" so when that person imagines a future event they make a whole variety of mistakes. "Because imagination is so poor you can beat it just by asking a complete stranger who has actually had the experience so that you don't have to imagine it yourself," Gilbert said. Although Gilbert's study has finally produced a method for people to increase the accuracy of whether they'll like something, he said nobody's listening. "Most of us feel that if we had some information about the future we could make a pretty good guess about how we're going to feel when we get there," he said. "A decade of research shows that that's simply wrong." In his speed dating experiment, Gilbert said the women who had more accurate results by reading someone else's experience still didn't believe his method really worked. Gilbert asked the women what information they'd like to have if they were going to speed date again. "Virtually all of them said 'I'd like to see the person's photograph and see their profile,'" he said. Still, isn't there something to be said about making mistakes? Gilbert doesn't think so. "I'm not a big fan of mistakes," he said. "I think something that can save us from mis-predicting is a very valuable thing and I don't think there's nearly as much value in getting it wrong as there is in getting it right." Instead, he said people should trust their own imagination less and trust other people's experiences more. "Don't fall for the mistaken idea that you are so different from other people that their experience has little to teach you," Gilbert said. "You and other people have a lot in common." So, if you want to become a lawyer, stop daydreaming. Instead, go find a lawyer. "All you have to do is find one person who is a lawyer and you're already going to have more information about what it's like to be one than you could ever generate on your own," Gilbert said. "That's not just true for being a lawyer, it's also true for moving to Cleveland, eating apple pie, marrying Andrea, and every other thing that you can possibly name." But what if nobody else has been married to Andrea? "Well then you're out of luck aren't you?" In the 20th Century alone, we dealt with two great wars (one of which we initially appeared to be losing); a dozen or so panics and recessions; virulent inflation that led to a 21 ½ % prime rate in 1980; and the Great Depression of the 1930s, when unemployment ranged between 15% and 25% for many years. America has had no shortages of challenges.

"Without fail, however, we've overcome them. In the face of those obstacles - and many others - the real standard of living for Americans improved nearly seven-fold during the 1900s, while the Dow Jones Industrials rose from 66 to 11,497. Compare the record of this period with the dozens of centuries during which humans secured only tiny gains, if any, in how they lived. Though the path has not been smooth, our economic system has worked extraordinarily well over time. It has unleashed human potential as no other system has, and it will continue to do so."

As you can see, this isn't a man who is gnashing his teeth over stock market losses. And why would he? Warren is very clear that he never intends to sell great businesses as long as they are great businesses. In fact, he's mostly interested in being a buyer of great businesses at low prices. Far from needing consolation over the price of his stock, Warren seems quietly delighted that he has lots of cash on hand that he can deploy in a market full of panicky sellers:

"Things also went well on the capital-allocation front last year. Berkshire is always a buyer of both businesses and securities, and the disarray in the markets gave us a tailwind in our purchases. When investing, pessimism is your friend, euphoria the enemy."

How much would you pay for investment wisdom from the world's most successful investor? Well, there it is, absolutely free, just for reading this column: "Pessimism is your friend, euphoria the enemy." Write that down somewhere handy, and may it be an antidote to any investment panic you may be feeling.
Warren Buffett isn't the world's richest man because he invented something revolutionary, or because he used massive amounts of debt to lever a bet (he's not a fan of debt). He's the world's richest man (or nearly so) because he deployed and compounded his capital incredibly well over a long period of time.

Taken from original article by John Caspar March 6/09: http://finance.sympatico.msn.ca/savingsdebt/johncaspar/article.aspx?cp-documentid=18337001
Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. By this, I mean envisioning the results you want. The more clearly you are able to imagine and get a sense physically, mentally and emotionally of the type of lifestyle you want, the better chance you haveof attaining it. It's just like planning a vacation. First you need to decide what scenery, temperature, atmosphere, activities and so on. Then you can choose the location, time frame and mode of transportation. So it is with choosing the life you want. All it takes is spending a little bit of time using your imagination to envision what you want, what you are doing, how you feel and any other relevant components. From then on, each day you can ask yourself "what can I do today to support myself in moving towards my goal?"

The next step is to accept where you are in the present. You may not like where you are and you may feel as though you are a long ways away from your vision, but the energy spent denying your present reality can sap you of all the needed energy to move forward. Accepting present circumstances without judgement goes a long way to create the momentum required to achieve your goal.

If you find you are going over the same territory time and time again with no change, it may help to identify any blocks or resistance on your path. One way to do this is to draw the patterns you keep repeating in your life. This picture may look like a roller coaster ride, a spiral, or a limiting box. But once you have it on paper you can get a more objective view of the situation. It's easier then to see what the triggers, motives and payoffs are for each stage of the pattern. Fear of being rejected may prevent you from meeting new people, speaking your truth or becoming more visible in some aspect of your life. An unconscious habit of negative thinking and self-criticism might be stopping you from taking the next steps in your career. The need for external approval may be causing you to say yes to others' demands and no to your own desires. Most people have the same underlying needs in life: acceptance, love, freedom, passion, security, joy, safety, fun. We each may pursue and attain these in different ways, but often they will underlie most of our behaviors. So if you're pattern of worrying or hiding from new challenges in life is preventing you from going for your dreams, find a healthy way to satisfy the need for safety and security while pursuing the exciting unknown at the same time. Discovering ways to accept and love yourself while creating boundaries that give a sense of safety, yet at the same time provide flexibility to encompass vistas of unknown territory, will support you as you pursue your dreams.

by Gini Grey
Copyright (c) 2004 by Success.com.
Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. We’ve been coupled with our work for a long time now, and breaking it off just seems like it would be so painful. But if a team of hotshot university types has figured out that both dumper and dumpee are hard-wired to make it through the tough times, then why can’t we contemplate a long-desired end to our dysfunctional relationship with what we do to earn a living?

With that in mind, I have composed a Dear John letter like no other.

Dear Work,

It’s not you, it’s me. I’m just going through some stuff right now, and it feels to me as if we have grown in different directions. When we first met, I treasured our time together. I saw so much of you, from early in the morning until sometimes late at night, and each encounter felt new, charged with possibilities. You were all I needed. I went to sleep thinking about what I could do with you tomorrow, and I awakened looking forward to spending the day with you once again. Our weekends apart became unbearable for me, and it wasn’t long before I started taking you home so that we could do some things together on Saturday and Sunday, too. Not only that, you were directly responsible for my being able to afford the plasma screen TV, and my daughter’s braces. But lately, something has changed. Sometimes I look in the eyes of those I love, and I get rewards that I never got from our relationship. I know that might seem cruel, and I know how you took it so hard when I didn’t bring the laptop to my sister’s wedding so I could prepare that Excel spreadsheet, but you didn’t seem so important compared to her needs that day. Around the same time, my wife and I took that trip to the mountains, and I began to prefer the sound of chirping birds and running water to the sound of fax machines, vibrating cell phones and IM alert bleeps. I’m aware of how these sounds are so much a part of your world, so don’t get me wrong. I still want to spend time with you. I still need you. You provide things that are crucial to my existence, like the satisfaction of a job well done, and the opportunity to interact with peers and yes, you do support me financially. So it’s not over completely. We can still be friends. I just don’t want to be in bed with you anymore. I know you’ll understand. And if you don’t, tough luck.

My lasting affection,
Life

So, what would your work brush-off letter say?
-Tom Stern

Dear Readers: I find it sad that the composer of that letter chooses in the end to stick with what he feels he needs, instead of breaking off the dsyfunctional relationship altogether. In a real people relationship, one would have the opportunity to stand his ground and both would have to agree to compromise to make things work. In an employer/employee relationship, there is no compromise. Bottom line, you're not in charge of your destiny. There is no such thing as job security or a "marriage" of the minds.
I know what my letter would say...

Dear 9 - 5 "Job",
I am not buying my own excuses nor will I justify myself to you, because I am no longer emotionally attached to you. I'm not sure at what point I bought into the theory that one must work harder to get ahead at the expense of one's family and one's dreams, but those days and those notions are long past. I am the creator of my own personal and financial success. As CEO of my own company and my own life, I can choose where and when I work and choose to live a lifestyle of freedom and abundance that I have created while building my own dream instead of someone else's. Now that's time worth investing. See ya later...who needs you?

Karen
P.S. Get a Life!

"Life is a choice...choose well." - Shane Krider

Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. Over the years I have never heard a better explanation than the one Raymond Holliwell gave in his book, Working with the Law. Holliwell pointed out:

"If you are not succeeding, if you lack any good thing, look more closely to the cause. It is not outside; it is somewhere within."

Notice where you fail to use the Law correctly to think rightly. There are 3 points in everyday life where one may fall into a snare & delusion:

Do you expect something for nothing?
Does it make you feel good or please you when you get something without paying for it? If so, you are violating the Law. Your returns will always be unsatisfactory. No matter where you go be willing to pay your own way. Have you known some person who hangs back when you go out for an evening's entertainment? They stand back and let the other fellow pay for the show. People like that lose hundreds of dollars when they try to save themselves a few bucks. The quality of thought they entertain REPELS many dollars they could attract. If you knowingly cheat another one of a dollar, it may cost you many dollars for the mistake.

Do you hunt for things that are called cheap?
Are you are bargain hunter? Cheap thoughts can only bring cheap returns. Those who wait for bargain days will always have to take bargains, but remember - there are no bargains in life. If you have gained monetarily, you may have lost in other ways. You place yourself in a vibration that lowers your present state. It forces you below your proper level. It limits your thought to a state where you support underselling, cutting, bankruptcy and dishonesty on the part of the seller. He must deceive, cheat or lie about the price of the bargain (or some other article), because he is in business to make a fair profit. You become a party to the violation and come under its penalty.

Do you begrudge spending money?
Do you hate to pay your bills? Release your money cheerfully, even if it be that last dollar you have. Decide what your need is & if it is of greater value than the dollar in your hand, then spend the dollar cheerfully. In this way, you comply with a law. Oftentimes, we get to a low level and we begin to tighten our purse strings.
We begin to hold back. This is like closing the faucet! It limits the supply from pouring in to you. The Law inevitably produces its own exactness as a rule of action. It's a Divine Law and tolerates no violation.
-David Neagle

Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. To paraphrase Michael Beckwith of The Secret, "Without gratitude you can't experience anything new." If I’m grateful for everything in my life in advance, then according to the Law of attraction, I should attract the circumstances that are congruent with those thoughts and feelings.
In order for the Law of Attraction to work, we must first notice abundance. Whether it is the abundance in our own lives, or the abundance all around us, it does not matter. It's the realization that there is enough abundance in the universe that every individual can have whatever they want. That abundance was created for each and every individual on the planet. Money was not created only for the wealthy! By noticing the abundance all around us: the abundance of trees, the abundance of money, the abundance of noise, the abundance of people, the abundance of houses, the abundance of compliments we received that day, etc., we begin to realize that it is all ours for the taking, and that it was created for our use and enjoyment. Those feelings that we begin to feel when we are noticing abundance allow us to think beyond our circumstances to realizing the true results that we really want to achieve in life.
It is when we can create these feelings in advance, even in the most unlikely circumstances, that we begin to attract the relationships, opportunities, wealth and resources that resonate with those feelings. We can create those feelings deliberately when we have the end goal in mind. First we must visualize that goal and experience the feelings that we would have at the moment of having already achieved the goal. Once we are in that state, we can then express gratitude for the achievement as if we were already in receipt of it. The majority, or the masses, have been taught a different set of beliefs and values based on hard work and incremental achievement. They also believe that atonement is somehow given to them by other people.

"If I get good grades, then I'll get praised."
"If I do a good job at work, then I'll get a raise."

Success minded individuals know their achievement, promotion and income is created by themselves, and it begins with their thinking. Next they fill their lives with all the things that support a "success mindset." They surround themselves with like-minded people. They invest in their skill development and take responsibility for their own personal growth. They also understand that getting uncomfortable is a PREREQUISITE to all of this and they even learn to become comfortable living out on this edge of life.

My mentor used to say, "If you are not living on the edge, you are taking up too much room." I happen to agree.

The edge is the creative place to be and keeps a person growing and headed in the right direction. People who play it safe and think they are going to maintain the status quo are living in ignorance of a very basic law of the universe. The Law says, You are either growing or dying, but nothing remains the same. Everything is in a state of growth or death.

Now, ask yourself this question: Are you constantly preparing for your own success? Successful individuals realize that preparing is nothing more than a stalling tactic created by fear. It's unfortunate some people can't seem to get out of the "preparing for success" mindset. You see, once you make a decision to create your own success you move on that decision, everything you require for the manifestation of your dream begins to move to you.

A.L.Hunt put it this way:

1. Decide what you want
2. Decide what you will give up to get it
3. Get on with the work.

Does that seem scary? It should if your goal and your dreams are big enough.

"Quantum leaps jerk you out of your comfort zone. Prepare yourself for a pretty wild ride. You're going to cover unfamiliar terrain and encounter obstacles you've never faced before. It can feel like the safety chain linking you with behavior patterns that worked in the past is being stretched to the limit. -Price Pritchett

At times you may wonder if the situation is about to spin out of control. The normal reaction is to want to hold on tightly. But you're going to have to learn to let go.

A quantum leap is achieved through release. So turn loose if you want to jump.

Don't be surprised if you grow uneasy...that's a predictable part of the process. When you take a the quantum leap you ride the situation, but you don't really control it all that much. In fact, the only way you control it is by:

1. Knowing where you are going.
2. Continuing the pursuit mistakes.

A quantum leap is an act of faith, exhilarating and possibly scary at the same time. You have to give up a large degree of security and safety; plow through greater amounts of ambiguity and confusion and uncertainty, wrestle with a totally new set of problems, invite failure, and possibly contend with criticism from other people who have been part of your support group in the past.

Make you uncomfortable? That's a good sign. If you're experiencing no anxiety or discomfort, the risk you're taking probably isn't worthy of you.

The only risks that aren't a little scary are the ones you've outgrown.

A high comfort level provides solid evidence that you're "playing it safe," not growing, not really testing your limits at all, and not in the process of a quantum leap. You might be making gradual progress...that's possible but you're not going for a breakthrough. Doing this carries you beyond your commonplace, everyday habits and calls for a little more nerve. So just go into this expecting a touch of anxiety. Uneasiness is a predictable psychological reaction when a quantum leap is underway.

It has been said that "if you will do the thing you fear, death of fear is certain."

"Courage is not the absence of fear and anxiety, it's proceeding in spite of those feelings. So press on." - unknown

- David Neagle
Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. Often when I ask the question of people who I interview for my income opportunity, "If the sky was the limit, what would you like to be earning?" many respond, "I just want to be comfortable." Are you kidding me...if you could have any amount of money, you would just want to be comfortable?! When you are comfortable, you are not changing. If you're not changing, you're not growing. If you're not moving forward, you're moving backward! You'll never experience unlimited wealth and freedom sitting on your sofa, living your life vicariously through your favourity reality T.V. personality, or fighting traffic every day on the hour-long commute to your 9 - 5 job that is getting someone else rich and building someone else's dreams, or standing at the lotto kiosk "wishing" that you'll be the next big winner. At the end of the day when you head off to bed after a busy day of being "comfortable", isn't it a little disconcerting to you that you've gone yet another day without taking any action to move you towards your dreams? Isn't comfortable starting to feel UNcomfortable?

Staying comfortable is completely limiting your potential in every area of your life. Sometimes, when asked that question, I find people are masking their real desires or fears. For instance, when I challenge them with the follow-up question, "Really? You just want to be comfortable? If you had to put a dollar amount to it, what would comfortable look like for you?" Some people then respond by telling me that they're not "greedy" people, or they just want to get out of debt, or that they've never thought of it before, or that they want to at least continue to make what they're making right now. Bottom line is, they never tell me their bottom line! What is most peculiar is that these same people responded to my ad because they wanted to make a MASSIVE change in their income and lifestyle. So deep down, they absolutely want to change or they wouldn't have been attracted to the advertisement or requested an interview. However, their responses to my second question tells me that they have very strong limiting beliefs that prevent them from attaining what they truly desire and deserve. They remain "comfortable" because they buy their own excuses; their own limiting beliefs. Inevitably, when asked what their goals are, they always respond that they haven't any.

You can't possibly move forward toward your goals if you have none. Your life then has no sense of purpose or direction. So here's my next question to those who want to remain comfortable, "How's that working for you so far?" So many people attach emotion to money. We all have a "money blueprint". (For more information about the money blueprint, I highly recommend
T. Harv Eker's bestseller: Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth.) This is developed from the time we are young when outside influences such as parents and teachers impose their concepts about money on us. We're told such things as: "money doesn't grow on trees", "I'm not made of money", "money is the root of all evil", "more money, more problems", etc.. Money simply provides more options in life. So take your own concept of what it means to have tons of money and put it aside for a moment and ask yourself, "If money were not an issue, what would I truly want to be, do, or have?" Once you've responded to that, you'll realize exactly what your passions are and you can now formulate your goals. (See my blog about goal setting: http://unlimitedwealthandfreedom.blogspot.com/2007/07/goals-driving-force-behind-achievement.html ) Now your life can take on a new sense of purpose and you'll have to get a little uncomfortable to take the actions it will require of you to set your goals in motion in order to achieve that which you are passionate about. Every action you take and every decision you make must move you toward your goals, otherwise you are moving further away from them.

By now you can see that without having clearly defined goals and taking the action required to achieve them, you are remaining completely within your comfort zone and NOT progressing. Knowing that you can achieve anything you want by getting a little uncomfortable is a little scary I admit, but doesn't being uncomfortable sound a lot more exciting and rewarding than being comfortable?!

Are you ready to get a little uncomfortable and move past your limiting beliefs to achieve everything you desire and deserve? The "Beyond Freedom" program will be the catalyst in making your goals a reality and ridding your mind of everything that limits you. Goals are the driving force behind achievement. There is no such thing as a natural born champion, rather the people that seem to achieve so much in their lives are people who know exactly what they want and why they want it.

" Only about 3% of adults have clearly defined written goals - and those three percent earn, on average, 10 times as much as those without written goals.” -unknown

It is also much easier to get excited about the end result or prize than it is to get excited about the task at hand. Many people don't realize that motivation, drive & ambition stem from not only having a clearly defined written goal but also the consistent visualization of that goal.

You must write the goal as if you've already achieved it, rather than something that may happen for you in the future. The purpose of this is to create a real knowing of achieving your goal. Things we have already achieved are always easier to achieve again so we utilize the power of the subconscious mind by telling it that we have already achieved it.

Be sure to post up a picture of your goal where you can see it readily and often, as this will assist you with the visualization process. The visualization process is the most critical part of achieving your goal.

“The successful person keeps their mind fixed on what he wants in life – not on what he doesn’t want." - Napolean Hill – Think & Grow Rich

Proper Goal Setting Using the "SMART" System

The SMART system is a proven method for defining and developing goals. Use these guidelines to identify and write your goals.

S--Specific--Identify your precise why and what you are passionate about. It may be financial, spiritual, health, material, etc. For example, if your goal is financial, what exact amount do you want to earn, and most importantly, what it will provide? If your goal has to do with weight reduction, how much do you wish to take off and what size will you wear? If your goal is to buy a car--know the color, make, model, options and all the details of the exact car you want. Take time to visualize having achieved what you desire. How do you feel now that you have achieved your goal? Get emotionally involved with the result.

M--Measurable--Identify your marker--how will you know you are moving in the right direction? Your goal must be measurable. Saying "I want to be out of debt" definitely isn't going to get you the results you want. Saying "I want unlimited wealth and freedom" is not specific enough. Saying, "I will earn $50K by December 1, 2007" is far more positive. The result, of course, will be that you are out of debt as well.

A--Attainable--You must believe that you are able to achieve your goal. It may seem somewhat unrealistic to you now, but it shouldn't seem insurmountable.

R--Relevant--Your goal should be something you are passionate about--you should be emotionally involved with your goal. If you are married or have a partner, each person should have his or her own goals - ones that are personal to you that you desire to achieve.

T--Timetable-able--Your goals should have an expected date of completion. This is usually an educated guess. Keep in mind that work expands to fill the time allowed for it!

Once you have set your goals, spend time daily reflecting on them. Write them onto your goal cards and carry them with you everywhere. Identify which actions are necessary to take on a daily and weekly basis to achieve your goals. In addition, identify which actions you currently are taking that are NOT in alignment with achieving your goals (ex: TV). Follow through with consistent, focused action. Napoleon Hill, in his breakthrough work, Think and Grow Rich, stated, "Whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe it can achieve.

Too many people today live their lives based on limitation. They easily dream and conceive what they want in life, but the challenge comes in the belief that it is possible. Many people base their wants and desires on what they believe they can afford, what they believe they have time for or what they believe they are capable of. In order to achieve extraordinary success, you have to move beyond those limitations and develop the desire to make your dreams into reality.

"We trifle when we assign limits to our desires, since nature hath set none." -Christian Nevell Bovee

Desire is much more powerful than just a "want" or a "wish"...it's a burning passion that comes from our core and moves us to take extraordinary action. It moves us beyond our perceived limitations to actually making the dream a reality.

"One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar." -Helen Keller

What do you desire for yourself in life? If there were no limitations in your life and you had endless financial resources and an abundance of time, what would you be, do and have in your life today? Write down your dreams and desires, create a "dream board" with pictures of all the things you want to be, do and have, Next time I'll be addressing how to set specific and effective goals, which is the first step in achieving everything you desire in life.

Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. How can you tell you're passionate about it? When you think about it, your heart palpitates...you experience all of the 5 senses related to that vision: You can see the colours and the scenario just as you want it to look; you can taste the salt in the air (if your vision includes the ocean); you can feel the sand under your feet or the heat of the leather seat in your brand new convertible that you parked in the sun; you can hear the cars whizzing by, the wind blowing or the children playing nearby; you can smell the aroma of the lavender in your garden or that "new car" smell.

"The person who makes a success of living is the one who sees his goal steadily and aims for it unswervingly. That is dedication." -Cecil B. De Mille

When we have a goal we are passionate about, we can visualize ourselves already in receipt of that goal. We imagine the end result and how it makes us feel. That feeling defines success.
When we commit to the goal and make the decision to pursue it, we must ask ourselves with each choice that presents itself, "Is this moving me closer to, or further away from my goal?" Once we make a decision that moves us towards our goal (or further away from it), the Law of Attraction takes over.

"The most important key to achieving great success is to decide upon your goal and launch, get started, take action, move." -Brian Tracy

Just last week, I realized that I wasn't really passionate about my goals, so I meditated on what gets me really excited and kept visualizing my home by the lake. We have been house hunting for a few weeks but nowhere near the lake. So when I opened myself up and allowed myself to be in receipt of that goal, the perfect little home in my thoughts became a reality! Now I have to discover my new goal that I can get passionate about, and ensure every decision I make is a step towards achieving it.

"I am here for a purpose and that purpose is to grow into a mountain, not to shrink to a grain of sand. Henceforth will I apply all my efforts to become the highest mountain of all and I will strain my potential until it cries for mercy." -Og Mandino

For more information about my business and how to achieve your goals using the Law of Attraction on a consistent basis, learn more here:

Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. In other words, "If only I HAD more_______(insert time, freedom, money, opportunity, support, etc.), I would DO________(insert the required action), and then I would BE_______(insert your ultimate goal)." Perhaps you've caught yourself saying, "If only I had more money I could....", or "If only I had more time I would...". Maybe you've heard of the poem by the late humorist Erma Bombeck:

If I Had to Live My Life Over
I would have talked less and listened more.
I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa faded.
I would have eaten the popcorn in the "good" living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace.
I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth.
I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage.
I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains.
I would have cried and laughed less while watching TV - and more while watching life.
I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.
I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.
I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn't show soil or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.
Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle.
When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later. Now go get washed up for dinner."
There would have been more "I love yous"...more "I'm sorrys"...
But mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute...look at it and really see it...live it...and never give it back. -Erma Bombeck

People who say, "if only..." or "when this happens, I will...", or "I wish..." are leaving circumstances to decide their outcome. If they continue to follow the principle of "Have-Do-Be", they will never realize their dreams and goals and they will be playing a waiting game for the rest of their lives. What are you missing out on? Don't you want to be in control of your results??

When you practice the "Be-Do-Have" principle, which is the reverse of what most people practice, you must first take on the roll of already having what you desire. So, if your goal is to be a millionaire, then with every choice that presents itself to you, you must ask, "If I was already a millionaire, what would I choose?"

Be-Do-Have is simply, Be the person first, Do what that person would do, then you will Have what that person has. Emulate someone who is achieving the results you want. Ask yourself what that person would do in your situation given a decision that would bring you closer to your goal. You will get an immediate response, void of the limiting emotions and beliefs that often hold us back. Whether you understand it or not, the BE-DO-HAVE principle applies to your life. Choosing not to apply it could be the very thing that is keeping you from achieving results in every area of your life and from obtaining all the wealth and freedom you desire. Study this principle, apply it to everything you do and just imagine what you can achieve! In fact, don't just imagine it...BE it!!
Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry. Don't Settle for Mediocrity.

Here is a great video clip of someone who is just not willing to settle for mediocrity. Have you ever noticed that when you make a decision for yourself that is guided by your best judgement, and your best instincts, that there is often resistance from the people around you? Sometimes that resistance comes from your co-workers, your friends and even your family and loved ones. The definition of resistance is: repelling truth; resisting opportunity. Is there anything honourable in that? Why do we continue to take advice from people who are not achieving the results we desire?

"Mediocrity always attacks excellence." - Rev. Since coming to this business 2 years ago (August 2005), I've made a personal commitment to work everyday on living into my full God-given potential. If I don't live up to that, I'm wasting the skills that I was given. When we work on ourselves through personal development, then we can shine for others. We can only enrich the lives of others while enriching our own.

I started my business to gain more time freedom, to be home with my family, and also to make more money. I didn't realize how much the work that I was doing on myself through our personal development program was impacting the people who are important to me. Reflecting back over my own accomplishments in the past 2 years is truly an amazing experience, but when I review the accomplishments of my children, I am astounded.

My oldest daughter graduated from university in the field of her dreams, Fine Arts. She graduated from teacher's college a month ago and has taken a position in London, England for ayear. Not bad for someone who used to sweat all of the small stuff!

My second oldest daughter has left home and is now in her 3rd year of university fulfilling her passion as well. She has an amazing knack of setting goals and achieving them by doing whatever it takes, no matter how small or large the goal.

My son has set his sights on his career of choice and is leaving the nest in the Fall, having already found an apartment away from home. He spends his summers counselling at a camp for children with diabetes.

My fourth child is taking the year to contemplate her aspirations for the future after spending a challenging last year in high school as the lead editor of the yearbook and photoshop expert, for which she won an award.

My youngest son won the "personal growth" award in his high school. This is when it really hit me that my own personal growth was having a profound effect on that of my children.

My children are all leaders of their own making. Likewise, the children of our business associates don't have to recondition their thinking because of this great gift of personal development that we as a community are giving to our children. How great is it that they are positioned for optimum personal and financial success and don't have to face the kind of internal struggle that we went through? By the same token, it's NEVER too late to start a life of enrichment!

Learn how you can enrich your life and the lives of others through our simple business system today:

Karen Higginson is an entrepreneur, professional trainer and consultant, and marketing and advertising specialist in the ever expanding network marketing industry.
