When Hunter Ciolek (werewolf) and Avery Cooper (vampire) met two solstices ago during their trip to Mystic Isle they thought one fling would be enough. But when Avery's coven mate (Ceara) and Hunter's brother (Maxim) end up becoming a couple that one weekend fling turns into more. And Avery must deal with being Pursued by a Werewolf.

Determined to move out of the friends zone, Hunter makes a plan to win Avery's heart. His plan might or might not included attending her yoga classes and pulling in several favors from friends. But in the end he knows his heart is Avery's, now all he has to do is get her on the same page.

Avery's life isn't as simple as it seems to the outside world. Her life before becoming a vampire ended with heart break, and she never wants to feel that way again. So when Hunter continues to pursue her Avery puts her foot down. But his pursuance might just create a crack in her hardened heart.

Pursued by a Werewolf is one of my favorite Selena Blake books by far. Selena took her time with this book and for me as a reader it paid off. Even though readers have been introduced to both Avery and Hunter before I now understand so much more about them. Selena's character development of Avery and Hunter kept me reading when I should have been studying for finals. I connected with Avery in such a way that I thought she was a friend and I was almost in tears when I finished reading.

The Mystic Isle series also includes: Fangs, Fur & Mistletoe (#1), A Werewolf to Call Her Own (#2), and Games Demons Play (#3). The fifth book of the series, Bound to a Vampire is scheduled for Spring 2014.

Izzy Lukin's impulse to drive her coven leader's Bugatti Grand Sport should have probably stayed home in it's bed. Especially since, crashing it, facing a multi-million dollar bill, and waking up in a hot demon's home were not in the plans for the evening. But vampires will have their ways, and in Games Demons Play we find out that demons do too.

Shade, a demon, has everything and anything he wanted, but doesn't have someone to call his. So when he meets up with Izzy on a long strip of deserted highway, a race ensues. Whether that race be done with cars or hearts, Shade has yet to learn. But when Izzy crashes, he knows he has to do something to protect her from the approaching sunrise.

Upset at what has happened Izzy only see's one answer to fix her problems, and that is to win the million dollar poker tournament at Mystic Isle. The only problem, Shade who has never lost a game in his life, was invited to be part of the tournament. Now it comes down to a deck of cards, to determine if Izzy and Shade's hearts will win out over their minds.

Selena Blake's third installment in the Mystic Isle series,Games Demons Play is one heart pounding race to romance, leaving readers wanting more. Returning to the Mystic Isle readers meet up with old friends, and with a few other not so savory characters. Nevertheless, the Mystic Isle series is one series that paranormal romance fans cannot miss. Especially since each book holds charming, witty and sexy characters, which is of course true for Games Demons Play. Izzy's story, like her coven sisters' own, will capture readers and make them just want to read it over and over again.

Other books in the series included: Fangs, Fur & Mistletoe (#1), A Werewolf to Call Her Own (#2), and Pursued by a Werewolf (#4).

Mary Ellen has seen her life go from a poor vicar's daughter to the sister-in-law of wealthy ship owner named Grayson Bellamount. When his friend Aidan Callaghan arrives at the home she shares with her older sister, she might just have experienced love at first sight. But the mysterious Aidan doesn't fit Mary Ellen's expectation of marrying a wealthy man with a title. A Night of Forever by Lori Brighton is the follow up novella to A Night of Secrets the first of the Night series, entailing the story of the second James sister.

Aidan, like his friend and comrade Grayson hides a dark secret. But when he encounters Mary Ellen something keeps drawing him back to her, even though Aidan knows he's no good for her. The same seems to be happening to Mary Ellen, as she finds herself constantly staring at him. But he's not what she expects in a man. Aidan throughout this short novella must however overcome his personal issues, for Mary Ellen's life counts on it. With a passionate romance brewing between the two however which will be the first to give in?

As a short novella, if you haven't read the first book you may be slightly confused when you pick up A Night of Forever. But I believe readers can easily understand the underlying tale outlined by Lori Brighton. She keeps the novella short, and simple, including only essential characters, while keeping the plot moving easily along. I personally read A Night of Forever before I decided to buy A Night of Secrets and it enticed me to do so, just so I could both follow along with the family, but also understand Grayson and Meg's story. A Night of Forever is preceded by A Night of Secrets and is followed by the soon to be released book #2, A Night of Redemption.

When a woman mysteriously dies in front of Meg James one night in London, she vows to keep that women's daughter safe. As country vicar's daughter, Meg must cover up this girls identity and origins. Several years pass, and she has kept the secret for years, hiding the girl. But when dead bodies begin to show up, conveniently as Grayson Bellamount appears in town, Meg begins to fear her secret maybe let out. A Night of Secrets by Lori Brighton is a historical romance that will take readers through the mystery of "who done it", while also making you root for Meg all the way through.

All Grayson Bellamount wanted to was find his niece who had disappeared after his sister's and parents deaths, not be mixed up with a murder investigation. But when he bought the mansion next to the quiet stream and the James' cottage, this mysterious man was apparently asking for trouble. And Meg James never imagined swimming with a dead body, but she has and it just happens to be her best friend's abusive husband, Lord Brockwell. Questions begin to be asked and Meg becomes the center of the investigation. With a drunken father, and three siblings (Mary Ellen, Sally, and Hanna) to provided for she must make her case for freedom, not be hung by the constable. However, the whole town seems to be against Meg and her family, and the only ally lies with the speedy man whose kisses set her on fire: Grayson. Attraction begins to bloom between the two despite the desperate circumstances, and Grayson must ask himself the tough question: is she the one?

A Night of Secrets by Lori Brighton will keep readers interested and wanting to see Meg to safety just as much as Grayson. Its one of those books you'll stay up late reading, because of the pace and also the urgency of the story. Overall, the story is well put together, and the overlying plot line of the murder investigation never overly covers up the secondary plot, Meg's secret. In the end we see everything come together, and Lori Brighton does a wonderful job. A Night of Secrets is followed by a short novella (#1.5) called A Night of Forever (Mary Ellen's Story) and book #2 in the Night series is soon to be released called A Night of Redemption.

With the pill, she thought she was safe, but that 0.01% screwed her over. But seven month's later her baby girl arrives, a premature fiery red head like her mama, and chocolate eyes like her dad. With a baby and a career as a make up artist that she loves, Desi must make the choice to work along side her child's father or to give up the biggest opportunity of her career.

Jake Lancing remembers the night of passion that Desi and he had, one that he can't forget. But with no word from her he's tried to move on with his life. Trying to prove that he's not just a handsome young actor he's taken on the task of directing, producing, and acting the lead role in the movie production of the year's biggest bestseller, Devil's Lady. Candace Schuler, created each character to become unforgettable, even the secondary ones. Even though for some this book might be lacking in plot, it was an enjoyable quick read. One Night With You is the first installment in the Heart of the City series.

With a failed elopement, Miranda's brother Valentine is in a hopeless position, teetering on scandal. So Miranda does what any good fairy tale romantic sister would do, ask for help. But when she attempts to request help, it goes all wrong, and in the process Miranda is forced into a marriage of her own. As the first book in the Once Upon a Time series, The Fairy Tale Bride begins the stories of the seven Fenster siblings, and it is only proper to start with Miranda.

The Duke of Kerstone, Simon, has kept away from the marriage marked since his father's death for a reason. And when he is forced to submit to marrying Miranda, because of the scandal that might occur, things are not as he planned. With an "incurable illness" Simon must prepare Miranda for life without him. And with a rather wild spirit Miranda will be a hard on to prepare, especially since she must face being a grieving widow within months. However, Simon's plans for death, are slowly being to change course, for the arrival of Miranda has slowly led to him developing feelings.

Kelly McClymer with her first book in the Once Upon a Time series, did a honest job of recreating a romantic tale. Their might be a few flaws within the historical or fairy tale content here or their, but to be honest I read this for the plot, not the historical content. And I intend to read the rest of the series, to follow Miranda's crazy family. The series included seven books in total, the second follows Valentine and is titled The Star-Crossed Bride, while the rest follow the other Fenster girls.

Loyalty lines have split up romances for centuries, and in the end either this split brings couples together through desire or draws them apart. When Nichola Westcott is kidnapped by a Scot wanting revenge on England, because of the on going war the lines become blurred. In Diana Cosby's His Captive, Nicola's adventure begins with a kidnapping that will result in more than just a ransom amount being paid.

Alexander MacGruder is on a mission for the rebel Scottish, to kidnap Lord Monceaux, the consort for the King of England in all matters involving Scotland. With a war that needs to be funded, Lord Monceaux's kidnapping ransom will afford rebel weapons. Miss information though has leads Alexander to kidnap the Lord's sister, Nicola. Attempting to stop her kidnapping has left Nicola at the mercy of the monstrous Scot, because everything she tries leaves her needing his help. Her need for help though will soon turn into more, and it becomes hard for the two enemies to keep apart as a romance blooms. But with their arrival to Alexander's home the two are at odds, for the war is just about to start between their hearts and their lands.

His Captive is the first in the MacGruder series by Diana Cosby, following romances that are potentially brought down due to split lines. It's an interesting book that l enjoyed due to the fact that I'm always looking for a historical romance fix, especially if it includes Scotsmen or men from Wales. Their are points when the book is a little slow, but overall Cosby's flow of writing and depth of characters are well developed. The series includes two additional books that follow Alexander's brothers Duncan (His Women) and Seathan (His Conquest).

Exclusively Yours by Shannon Stacey takes reuniting with your high school sweet heart to a new level. Keri Daniels is an author for a popular tabloid, and her boss wants to check the reclusive Joesph Kowalski, a thriller novelist, off her must interview list. When Keri's boss, Tina finds out Joe and Keri were high school sweet hearts, Keri is given an ultimatum get the interview and get a promotion, if not she's fired.

Heading home Keri searches high and low to find information on Joe's whereabouts. But when it comes down to it Joe finds her first, and gives her an option; if she wants an interview she has to go camping for two weeks with his family. After breaking his heart, and sending him in to a down spiral, Joe's family is cautious about letting Keri in. And Joe's twin sister Terry, who used to be Keri's best friend until high school is even more bitter than the rest. But when it comes down to rekindling the love they had before its still their even after twenty years. However, will careers goals could possibly mess up what kindled for two weeks, of fun and laughter.

As part of the Kowalski Family Series, Exclusively Yours is a novel that kicks off the rest of the series, introducing readers to the entire family. Keri and Joe's romance is one that is not uncommon to find in many novels, but it's a new twist on the high school sweet heart tale. After sitting on my to be read list for a while, this book gave me a new series to follow, and a new family to get acquainted with. The Kowalski Family Series also includes: Undeniably Yours, Yours to Keep, All He Ever Needed, All He Ever Desired, and All He Ever Dreamed. Coming Soon to the series is Love a Little Sideways.

With a rebel heart, Maya Alyssum has had one dream throughout her life, to open a school where children are loved no matter appearance, personality, etc. Her dream has come true were she once grew up in a small town, in an old farm house. Maya herself spent her life as an outcast, going from foster home to foster home, along with her older sister Cleo. But a fight for Maya's dream begins within Patricia Rice's book Dixie Rebel as town officials try to destroy her small school and her heart.

Axell Holm, is a council representative, and being a single parent with his own small restaurant he's a very busy man. His stress only increases because of his mother-in-law threatens to take away his daughter Constance. But Constance who hasn't spoken since her mother's death, is beginning to open up through the help of Maya's new after-school program. When the town officials threaten to close down the school for a new strip mall, Axell see's the opportunity to offer help to an unconventional women. Maya, with her sister in jail on drug charges, a nephew that needs carrying for, and a baby on the way sees her school as a sanctuary for the children and herself. Cornered without very many options, Maya must trust a man she only just met and take on the town council in order to provided for her family.

Patricia Rice's Dixie Rebel shows how two people with no romantic interests can become something more. Axell and Maya's romantic journey is a real page turner that has in the past and will in the future attract many readers. Within Dixie Rebel many secrets will change the course of these two individuals and will result in a bright outcome for both. An additional series called the Carolina Trilogy comprises of three books, the initial and first is about Cleo, Maya's sisters and is titled Almost Perfect.

"Opposites attract", and in Gateway to Heaven by Beth Kery certainly agrees with that argument. Megan Shreve has always been a conservative women, while Christian Lasher has been a rock-and-roll sensation for the past fifteen years of his life. Their families lived within the same block when they grew up but because of the age difference they never knew each other. But now they live in the same building and it seems like it an attraction is blooming between these two polar opposites.

An art teacher at her Alma Mater catholic school, Megan is an excellent artist that is under appreciated for her talents as her past over shadows her talent.With an over protective sister, a mother that will never face the truth, and a father who drunk himself to death, Megan has fought to become who she really was meant to be. Christian see's her for who she really is, and brings out a side of Megan that has been hidden inside. Face with a slowing rock star career, Christian is looking for something else, and he might have found the answer. But, both must fight to over come their media filled past, that have struck up rumors and shocked their small Chicago community. And together they both must overcome the half-truths and lies that have set their relationship off on a rocky start.

A stand alone book Gateway to Heaven was a quick and enjoyable read. Beth Kery creates two lovable character that press at readers heart strings to make you want to punch and love them both. For individuals that like music and art this book is perfect for you because it encompasses both within it pages.

Gemmita "Gem" Jacobs might seem like a southern bell, but she's got quite more on her side than charm and etiquette. Attempting to gain independence from her dictating father she plans a trip to the Yukon to study the caribou. Within a day of landing in the Yukon, Gem and her not so quiet wolf have messed up. She's forgotten to inform the alpha, Eric or her presence, then practically jumps him when she gets scent of her mate, and then if everything couldn't be worse Eric's not actually it. As the first book in the Takhini Wolves series, Black Gold by Vivian Arend promises readers a captivated read as Gem journeys into the wilderness of the Yukon.

Shaun Stevens' a pilot by trade has been having a rough time recently. Lonely as all heck, since all of his friends are mated, Shaun is looking for trouble and trouble seems to find him. When he becomes extremely intoxicated with the help of a secret moonshine made by Eric, his memory begins to fade in and out. The trouble you ask? Waking up next to a beautiful women, whom his wolf recognizes as his mate, but Shaun remembers nothing of the night before. Shocked when Shaun showed up in her hotel room the night before Gem's wolf instantly recognizes that him as her mate. And of course things occurred. Issues begin to show up as this new relationship begins to form. First off Shaun's overprotective and powering nature, it's too like Gem's father for her taste. Next, where are they going to live. Shaun's business is in the north, and Gem is used to her quality of life in the south. The questions and issues begin to pile up, but the attraction also starts to burn. But Gem's trip into the Yukon might lead to all the answer, if they can only keep the flames down.

Black Gold is a great book if your looking for a shapeshifter fix.Vivian Arend as an author always keeps her readers interested in her characters and the plot line of her books. She continues this with Black Gold, with Gem and Shaun who are both incredibly interesting and complex wolfish characters. Hopefully Shaun and Gem will make appearances within the other books of the series, which are currently Silver Mine (September 2012) and Diamond Dust (August 2013).

Charis’ latest time paradox has left me staggering. The history of Meric is being unraveled right before my eyes. While some unimaginable questions are being answered, even more start to creep up. I guess only time holds the answers to these questions. Considering I’m not even in my own time, I’m not so sure anymore. One thing I do know is I never would have thought Meric’s origins would have been in this place.

Jennifer Hartz pulls off another great book with the fourth installment in the Future Savor series with Desecration. With yet another cliff hanger at the end of book three (Evacuation) readers are thrust into the action in book four. Each chapter adds to the story line that will only end with one side taking control of Meric. And with Christina's latest time travel along with Shaw and Rayleix, many answers about the creation and start of Meric will be answered for both Christina and readers.

Time shows within this installment that desecration is the past and possibly the future of Meric. However, Chrisitina, Shaw and Rayleix all learn important information about the past, and the future. This information may prove to be helpful in the final battle, however, it all depends on how it is used. And now with the second generation of guardians together, they might stand a chance of taking down Leticia.

Desecration fills in a lot of missing information that readers have been waiting for throughout the Future Savor series. Personally, for me this book lead to many of my assumptions and questions being answered. And I loved several of the twist and turns that occurred. Desecration is preceded by Conception, Resurrection, and Evacuation, the fifth and final installment of the Future Savor series, Revelation will be released in September 2013.

As the battle for Meric begins, the past and the future are becoming clear for Christina. Answers to questions she has been asking from the beginning are becoming clearer. And her powers are becoming stronger as each day past. But a vision that might have left her devastated in the past, now leaves her even more determined than ever to defeat Leticia. This determination leads to Christina having faith in her friends and her own abilities, and will result in a journey that she never imagined.

The third book in the Future Savor series, Evacuation continues to follow many of the friends and relationships that have been seen within the first two books Conception and Resurrection. Within Evacuation however our group of friends separate to spread the word about Christina, the Savor, in hopes that together the people of Meric can defeat Leticia. Together Christina, Shaw, Drexton, Belizia, Markella, and Charis begin to journey south in attempt to save Christina's brother. Faith begins to intervene and in their travels this merry band of friends meet many individuals along the way that will become key players in the war. They also learn important things about guardians Aladonna and Malcolm. And the many secrets that Shaw has been keeping become clear as the truth comes out.

Evacuation is by far a great third installment to the Future Savor series. It will keep your attention making you turn every page quickly absorbing every ounce of information. I enjoyed this third installment since it revealed answers to many of the questions I was asking, and showed readers many more aspects of Meric. Evacuation is preceded by Conception and Resurrection and is followed by Desecration. The fifth and final installment of the Future Savor series, Revelation will be released in September 2013.

Revisiting her past left Christina with questions, but also answers about her powers. But throughout Resurrection she is met with many more questions, like who is Rayleix's father? Will they ever beat Leticia? And will Shaw and her survive the war for Meric? However, as Leticia and her forces advance into the northern Meric, Christina is forced to part with many of her friends as they go into battle. Forced to stay behind, she begins to search for these answers and for the book of Tor'Nock (said to hold the secrets to the creation of Meric). As she searches two of those answers become evident to the readers and an exciting battle begins for all of Meric.

Thrown into a world full of green chickens and unicorn horses, Christina Vaughn is thrust from the present day world into the reality of Meric. Taken from it thirty years ago to protect her from an evil queen, Christina is the princess of Northern Meric. Hailed to be the "savior" she is suppose to be able to have powers similar to her deceased father, King Davis. But having been raised in a world with nothing magical, Christina clueless. In Jennifer Hartz's first Future Savior book, Conception readers become introduced to flurry of creatures and characters. And are enticed by the romance, and the journey that Christina must make to become the prohesized "savior".

Unable to basically defend herself in Meric, Christina has to rely on a man she never known in actuality except for his blue eyes. Shaw, Christina's Watcher with these silver-bleu eyes, has been her protector since conception. And has been following her since, even being transported with her into the present and back to Meric again. Due to Shaw's ability to shape shift he has been a teacher, student, and many other individuals throughout Christina's life making sure she was safe. When Shaw is revealed to her in his true identity, Christina is immediately taken with him and his blue eyes.

Reality soon settles in though that Christina is not here just for fun and games. But, to save a land that neither have been to in thirty years. Shaw, a great warrior of the elves, is gladly welcomed back to Meric for his skills in battle are hailed throughout the land. Christina, however, is expected by the communities of northern Meric to save a land she's never actually stepped foot in, until now. And it might be a little too much pressure for someone that has only handled teaching health and physical education her whole life. Guided by a handful of other charactres and a seer named Charis, Christina must some how gain the courage and ability to fight an evil queen. One that killed her father, destroyed her home, and that will kill Christina at all costs.

Conception by Jennifer Hartz is an original romance fantasy that will intrigue readers to continue past the first book and dive into the series. An enjoyable change to the typical fantasy, Christina's journey shows more than just a developing of her own power and romance. But also how her ability to cope with her surroundings will lead her to plausible victory. The Future Savior series also has several other published books, including: Resurrection, Evacuation, and Desecration.

He's certainly sampled his fair share of them but none has moved him the way Tate Murphy does when he goes to her shop to thank her for some cookies and a thank you note.

But as Matt gets to know Tate and appreciate her strength and unique beauty, he also realizes she's got some big self esteem issues about her past. To build a future, he's got to find a way past some big road blocks.

Matt Chase lost his chance with Liv, when he didn't want to commit, and now she's his sister-in-law. But being the last of the Chases without a wife is a little boring, and Matt now thinks he's ready to find his own women—one that perhaps his brothers haven't dated before. In the fourth and finale book in the Chase Brothers series by Lauren Dane, Matt finally gets his chance to show readers his true nature in Making Chase.

Being an EMT Matt's used to saving lives, but when Tate Murphy is hit by a car, and falls into his path, Matt might not be able to save his own heart. Tate, the oldest girl of the Murphy clan, has had a rough life, but she and her siblings have moved on to bigger and better things than their trailer park heritage. She has seen success in a her professional life, but is now looking for it in her personal life. And Matt might just be the answer. Plus, owning a successful hair salon with her sisters across from the EMT station might be the best thing in Tate's life. With a constant view of Matt Chase going to and from work, what girl wouldn't want to swoon. But, when Tate actually gets the chance to meet Matt in person it goes all wrong. One thank you later, and Tate is possibly the cook and women Matt's been looking for. Yet, with a past that haunts her Tate, thinks she's not the girl for him. Matt thinks otherwise and sets out to show Tate the truth.

As the conclusion to the series, Making Chase leaves a impression on readers letting them see all of the characters from books one through three come together. The story of Matt and Tate is excellent, and leaves you wondering who's cooking Matt possibly likes better, Tate's, Maggie's, or his mother's. I highly suggest reading the whole series, because Lauren Dane knows what she is doing when she writes about these swoon worthy Chase men. And when you get to Making Chase you'll just be falling head over heals for Matt and Tate.

Making Chase is preceded by Giving Chase (Kyle and Maggie), Taking Chase (Shane and Cassie), and Chased (Marc and Liv). A spin off series called Petal, Georgia continues to follow the characters from the Chase series, and more specifically the Murphy family from Making Chase. This series currently includes Once and Again (Nathan Murphy) and Lost in You (Beth Murphy).

When Liv Davis' best friend, Maggie met Kyle Chase sparks flew. And as Liv finds out the Chase boys are hard to resist, having dated Matt Chase a few months ago. But those sparks didn't last, and as she finds out the sparks with her current boyfriend don't either. Liv is to the point of giving up on dating and her dream of grow old with a man. Even though Matt didn't work out, Live might just need to give the last of the Chase boys a chance. The third book Lauren Dane's Chase Brothers series, Chased is the story of the youngest of the bunch, Marc and how he might finally get what he wants, a women to love.

As the mayor's right hand, Liv has her plate full. She might have a tough girl exterior but she has a heart that may have been broken one to many times. All she wants is to find a love that will last a lifetime and maybe have a few kids. With opening his new gym, Marc is on his own path towards success and wants to share that with someone. But as the youngest of the Chase boys, Marc is sometimes over looked, and he is determined to not let Liv do that to him. As one of his newest clients, Liv might just be the person Marc wants to settle down with. But when feelings form and sparks fly high, Liv puts up a defensive front blocking Marc out. Differences in age becomes Liv's main argument for not wanting a relationship with Marc. And in the end he must make her see that age doesn't matter; that he's ready to be the man she wants for her future.

What I enjoyed the most about Chased was the fact that I already knew Liv and Matt as secondary characters but got to dive into their lives more through this book. As I've said before Lauren Dane does a great job with her Chase Brothers series, and within Chased we see the the family expand. But Dane also leaves a girl wanting her own country hunk like one of these boys to cuddle with. Chased is preceded by Giving Chase (Kyle and Maggie) and Taking Chase (Shane and Cassie), and is followed by Making Chase, the final book of the Chased Brothers series which tells Matt's tale. A spin off series called Petal, Georgia continues to follow the characters from the Chase series, and includes Once and Again and Lost in You.

Escaping her past, Cassie Gambol, was attempting to find peace and quiet in Petal, Georgia. She expected to be left alone and to find a quiet job. But when she crashes into Polly Chase on her way into town, she's in for a whirlwind of southern charm. Relentless Polly won't give up on apologizing, and her sheriff son might have taken a liking to Cassie. Picking up where the Lauren Dane's last Chase Brothers book, Giving Chase left off, Taking Chase tells the story of Shane the oldest brother of the group of four.

Being the sheriff of Petal, Georgia would be less of a hassle for Shane Chase, if his mother stopped getting into car accidents. Her latest accident with Cassie Gambol though might just be the most helpful his mother has ever been with helping him romantically. Unlike before, when Shane dated Maggie in Giving Chase, Shane isn't just in this for the joy of taking a girl out. He wants to get to know Cassie at a personal level, and she's running in the opposite direction. Coming out of a life threatening relationship with her ex-husband, Cassie is on the run. Her husband has threatened her more than once, ruined her career, and he's run away from his the law on an attempted manslaughter conviction. Hesitant as she is Cassie can't seem to stay away from Shane. And when Cassie's gives Shane a chance it's nothing but sparks flying everywhere. But when her ex is actively searching for Cassie, will the handsome sheriff be able to protect her from the man she once loved.

Taking Chase lets readers dive even more into the complex charm of the south, but shows readers how one screwed up relationship can give way to taking a chance. The second novel of the Chase Brothers series, Taking Chase tops within my top fifteen favorites, and having read the whole series I can attest that I am a huge Lauren Dane fan. She continues to give readers a dynamic outlook on both the interactions of the Chase brothers, but also how listening is crucial in building relationships. Taking Chase is preceded by Giving Chase, Kyle and Maggie's story, and is followed by Chased (Marc) and Making Chase (Matt). The spin off series Petal, Georgia also includes Once and Again and Lost in You.

Chock full of lovable animals, messes, and of course Dixie La Fontaine's .38 gun, Heart of Dixie, takes readers for a romantic heart stopping boat ride. But, when Jake visits little Mare's Nest he'll learn more about love and himself, than about the megastar he's been searching for.

When Dixie La Fontaine, rounded the bend in her tow-truck to take Jake's brand new Porsche into the shop, he had hardly any clue what Mare's Nest would give him. As the sequel to Fangs, Fur & Mistletoe, Selena Blake's A Werewolf to Call Her Own, continues on with the adventures of the paranormal retreat, Mystic Isle. Through out the second book, readers dive more in depth with the coven of women that were first introduced to in Fangs, Fur & Mistletoe. As the story of Ceara Blackwell is revealed about this shy vampire shows readers how the possibility of a one night stand can take theirs hearts for a dive with the dolphins.

Ceara has been sheltered and isolated for most of her life, and while she's at Mystic Isle she plans to escape that life. Nervous around others and wants to check the first thing off of her to do list: be kissed. And with the death of her parents several years ago by a demon, Ceara is terrified by them. But, when Maxim Ciolek, spots Ceara he knew there was something special about her. He became her prince charming, saving her when she was distressed and an instant attraction occurred. With growing responsibilities as the beta of his pack Maxim has a lot of expectations from others. But, one perfect night of talking and adventure changes both of their lives. However, the question rises about whether Maxim will help Ceara check everything off on her list or leave her?

Even though A Werewolf to Call Her Own is considered a Novella, it's still a longer winded one. With good character depth, and a great plot line, Selena Blake pulls at the reader's heart strings within the last thirty pages and pulls off another great book with Ceara and Maxim's story. Vampire and Werewolf lovers will fall in love the Mystic Isle series, and A Werewolf to Call Her Own will capture their hearts with cases of misspelling names, misunderstandings, and a bite.

Just released last week (February 28), this book is wonderful for an individual that would like to read a short novella. If your interested in A Werewolf to Call Her Own there is no requirement to read the first book Fangs, Fur & Mistletoe if you don't want to, though I recommend it. The third book, Games Demons Play, in the Mystic Isle series is due out at the end of April, and is the story of Izzy and her love interest. But get A Werewolf to Call Her Own while it's still hot, and on sale!

As a werewolf you know when you have met the one. For Max Ritter, his family has long been able to choose their destinies as werewolves. And when he sees the lives of innocent women being endangered by a rouge werewolf he takes it into his own hands to take that man/wolf down. Catherine Bybee, known for her Not Quite and Weekend Bride series, takes a stab at paranormal romance in these short Ritter Werewolves books. The first in the series, Before the Moon Rises is a novella that introduces you to the Ritter clan and how these werewolves find their mates.

Janet O'Brien, an emergency room nurse, is typically the one stopping the life threatening situations. But when she gets trapped in a dangerous situation, that she has no training to deal with she must trust her life into the hands of her psychotic patient With nothing to do except trust Max, Janet must allow this security expert to protect her life, and possibly her heart. Max, who is currently in phase due to the effects of a full moon, must make sure that both Janet and himself make it out of the rouge werewolves grasps together. With a budding relationship, a dangerous situation, and the possibility of her being his mate, Max must protect Janet with his life.

An interesting and in depth novella, Before the Moon Rises allows you get a glimpse of the Ritter clan without having to spend hours in front of the book. Catherine Bybee in this short novel, gives the reader all the romance and action of a full length book, but with less pages. The second book in the Ritter Werewolves series, is from the perspective of Max's brother, Richard, called Embracing the Wolf, and is currently published.

When your life is in the hand of an assassin, and you only have less than a month to find an India icon, the smart thing to do is show up at your ex-girlfriend's house. Currently that's Hugo Duran's life, except he shows up a little more politer in regency fashion. The first of the Big Cat Trilogy, Hugo's story is exciting, and keeps the reader interested from start to finish. A reprint of Lynn Kerstan's 2002 publication of The Golden Leopard will interest historical romance readers, as Hugo convinces Lady Jessica Carville to join him on his search for the India icon, a golden leopard.

"Jessie" Carville, isn't a conventional lady of the time, as a women in business she collects and sells antiques. She makes a joke of marriage, and shockingly enough for the public is good at her job. Left behind by Duran six years ago, Jessie has no need for a man in her life. And when Duran appears at her antique viewing, she has to decided to join him or stay out of his search for the golden leopard. With a sister in need of help, and a vicious brother-in-law, Jessie's mind is in debate whether to help Duran to gain a return favor or to leave him behind.

When Jessie's mind is made up it makes for an adventure she had no expectations of getting into. Kerstan's The Golden Leopard was a very detailed oriented adventure, that made a reader want to continue on looking for clues and to know if Duran would survive. Additional books in the trilogy included: Heart of the Tiger, and The Silver Lion, all books were previously published and are currently being re-released.

The Wild West, where the men and women still roam the plains looking for their partners. But something typically always messes it up and that's when it's time for them to prove their Tough Enough. As an anthology of classic romances, Tough Enough features the risks and choices that three rowdy cowboys and cowgirls take to find their love.

The Cowboy written by Jayne Ann Krentz, features a more contemporary view of the cowboy. When Margaret Lark gives up information to her boss about her boyfriend Rafe Cassidy's business deals, she gives up on a future life of love. But, when Rafe returns a year later, after relieving his flaming temper, Margaret has but one choice really: that is to stay with him. In this sweet heart wrenching book/novella, Jayne Ann Krentz weaves a winning set of characters and an interesting plot line for all cowboy turned executive lovers.

Written by Lindsay McKeena The Cougar, another almost full length book or novella, puts two enemies in a hazardous situation: should they love each other? Almost like a Romeo/Juliet situation, Jim Cunningham has loved Rachel Donovan since he was in sixth grade. The only thing that held him back then from telling her was their fathers, both enemies in the cattle industry. But when Rachel returns from England to help her sisters save the ranch, Jim has another chance, but he struggles internally. Will he give up his own namesake to tell her?

A short story, Murder at Last Chance Ranch, is a cowboy mystery that focuses around Teddi MacLane's soon to be ex-husband. Slipping in her murdered husband's blood as she walks into her house, Teddi is automatically accused of killing him by the people in her small town. And her only get out of jail card is to relying on her ex-boyfriend Sheriff Jake Rawlins.

Overall Tough Enough gives a reader three stories, placing you right into the heart of the west. And in the heart of the tough west it turns out there can be true love after all.

When one brother screws up, another picks up. The Chase brothers, of Petal, Georgia, are most likely one of the hottest group of men around. And through Lauren Dane's series, you get to meet each and everyone of them, in their fabulous glory. First up to bat however, is Kyle, in his contemporary country romance, Giving Chase.

Maggie Wright comes from a family that cherished beauty. Beaten down by her sister and mother to a point where she can't see her own beauty, this history teacher is skeptic she'll find a man in her home town of Petal. But when the Sheriff and oldest Chase brother lands at her feet she can't help but go out with him. With persistent charm and whit, much like his mother, Kyle saw the beauty in Maggie the minute Shane started dating her. When Shane screws up, and Maggie almost give up hope, Kyle puts that southern charm on and woos her. Yet, a shadow threatens to take away everything that Kyle and Maggie have started, and this shadow might just rip them apart.

Dane's Giving Chase gives readers a touch into the romantic south, but brings into her novel, the all to stark realty of what a stalker can do. Having read the whole series, Giving Chase, can give you a dynamic look into the relationships that are later seen in between the brothers throughout the rest of the series. Even though you don't have to start with Giving Chase, I suggest you do because it's my favorite. Other books, which are all currently published, in the series included: Taking Chase (Shane), Chased (Marc), and Making Chase (Matt). There is also a spin-off series featuring the Murphy family from Making Chase, the first book was released in September 2012 and is called Once and Again. This series can be read alone, and the second book Lost in You is set for publication in March 2013. Lauren Dane has also written and is planning to write several short stories entitled Visits to Petal, to keep you up to date on the families of Petal, Georgia; currently Alone Time is published and is free.

When you've been kidnapped as a child you never expect yourself to grow up in the hands of a black witch, that makes you cross stitch and tortures you with her newest experiments. But, when Blaine Underhill's parents traded him to the witch at age four it's his fate. To change his fate Blaine, and his friends Jarvis, Nigel and Christian must defeat the witch and bring her rein over her captures male warriors down. Stephanie Rowe's Kiss at You Own Risk, is a delicious read, that takes you into several alternative realities. The first in the Soulfire series Blaine's novel is one where the main characters are faced with challenges that they never thought they would overcome.

When Blaine, and his men escape the grasps of Angelica, the witch, one of them is not as lucky. With his best friend captured Blaine needs to come up with a plan to save him. And his cross stitching ability won't help here, only his ability to light his body on fire will. However, with Angelica practically immune to all the men's tactic, Blaine needs to take it a step further. The Black Widow, is Blaine's answer. Trinity Harpswell was a baby when she mysteriously disappeared, and then six months later returned. During this time period Trinity was transformed, she became the Black Widow, killing any of the men she loves. She has seven more days until her curse is broken, but she has to keep from killing again. But when Blaine enters the picture asking him to help her kill the witch, keeping from murdering anyone in seven days may become harder than she thought.

Stephaine Rowe wrote a interesting and intriguing paranormal / urban fantasy romance. Kiss at Your Own Risk, and between Blaine's fire and the fire of romantic sparks her characters catch the pages on fire. With two other books released and one on the way, the Soulfire series is packed with the fast pace reading you need if your in a book slump. If you have already read Kiss at Your Own Risk, check out Jarvis' book Touch if You Dare and Nigel's book Hold Me if You Can. Book number four, Seize with Your Kiss will be released at some point in 2013, and will feature Christian.
