In today’s rapidly evolving professional landscape gaining practical insights and industry exposure has become essential for undergraduates. Addressing this need Leo Club of University of Moratuwa on behalf of Leo District 306 D2 successfully launched “MentorLink” a dynamic mentoring initiative designed to connect undergraduates and Alpha Leos with experienced industry professionals.

MentorLink serves as a platform where academic learning meets real-world experience. Through a series of structured mentoring sessions participants are given the opportunity to interact directly with professionals from diverse fields enabling them to gain valuable career guidance, industry knowledge and practical perspectives. The project features multiple sessions covering a wide range of focus areas including Information Technology, Textile and Apparel Engineering, Transport Management and Logistics Engineering and Earth Resource Engineering. Each session is led by accomplished mentors who share their expertise, experiences and insights helping participants better understand industry expectations and career pathways.

What sets MentorLink apart is its commitment to creating meaningful and interactive learning experiences. Sessions are conducted both online and through physical industry visits allowing participants to explore professional environments firsthand. Vision Ray

Vision Ray is a phase-wise eye health awareness project organized by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, targeting different community categories with the aim of promoting awareness, accessibility and better eye care practices.

“Vision Ray - Phase 1” was conducted on 10th March 2026 at Galbada Athuruwella Maha Vidyalaya. This phase focused on empowering school students with essential knowledge on protecting and maintaining healthy vision, encouraging early awareness and preventive care.

“Vision Ray - Phase 2” was held on 14th March 2026 at Sri Jayashekararamaya Temple, Batuwita. This programme aimed to offer essential services and guidance to help maintain optimal eye health. Key highlights included free vision examinations, eye health awareness sessions and the availability of discounted spectacles, ensuring both education and accessibility for the community.

“Vision Ray - Phase 3" was successfully conducted on 4th April 2026 at Piliyandala Central College. This phase further strengthened the initiative by providing accessible vision care services and awareness. Community members were given the opportunity to receive vision screenings, eye health education and discounted spectacles, encouraging improved eye care practices.

Collectively, the Vision Ray project reflects a comprehensive and impactful approach to enhancing eye health awareness and accessibility within the community.

මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයීය ලියෝ සමාජය හා හෙළකුරු ආයතනය එක්ව සංවිධානය කළ “තර්ක - මහේෂ් අබේවික්‍රම අනුස්මරණ විවාද හා කථික තරගාවලිය 2026” තෙවන වරටත් අති උත්කර්ෂවත් අන්දමින් සාර්ථකව පැවැත්විණි. ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ විශාලතම අන්තර් පාඨශාලයීය විවාද හා කථික වේදිකාවක් වූ මෙහිදී දිවයින පුරා පාසල් විවාද කණ්ඩායම් 90කට ආසන්න සංඛ්‍යාවක් සහ කථිකයින් 180කට ආසන්න පිරිසක් එක්ව, තම බුද්ධිය, වාග් කෞශල්‍යය හා නායකත්ව හැකියාවන් විදහා දැක්වීය.

විවාද තරගාවලියේ මූලික වට මාර්ගගතව පැවැත්වූ අතර, අවසන් 16 දෙනාගේ තරග වටයන් මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයීය පරිශ්‍රයේදී පැවැත්විණි. අවසන් මහා තරගය වටයන් කැස්බෑව නගර සභා ශ්‍රවණාගාරයේදී උත්කර්ෂවත් ලෙස පවත්වන්නට විය. එහිදී කොළඹ රාජකීය විද්‍යාලය ශූරතාවය දිනාගත් අතර, සිරිමාවෝ බණ්ඩාරනායක විද්‍යාලය අනුශූරතාවය හිමිකර ගත්තේය. හොඳම විවාදකයා ලෙස කොළඹ රාජකීය විද්‍යාලයේ සත්මිණු සෙනවිරත්න සම්මානයට පාත්‍ර වූ අතර, ජනප්‍රියතම පාසල් විවාද කණ්ඩායම ලෙස අනුරාධපුර මධ්‍ය විද්‍යාලය ඇගයීමට ලක්විය.

Sustania is a multi-phase community service project by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa in collaboration with Leo Club of Piliyandala, aimed at promoting sustainability, environmental responsibility and improved quality of life through impactful interventions.

Sustania - Phase 01 was successfully conducted on 18th December 2025 at Pihitiwewa Maha Vidyalaya, Polonnaruwa. This phase focused on enhancing access to clean and safe drinking water by donating a water filtration system to the school, thereby supporting better health and well-being among students.

Sustania - Phase 02 was held on 3rd February 2026 at Sri Jayashekararamaya Temple, Batuwita, Horana. This awareness programme was designed to educate families on energy conservation by encouraging the reduction of electricity wastage. In addition, energy-efficient light bulbs were distributed to assist households in lowering electricity consumption and related costs.

Phase 03 of Sustania - Solar Street Light project was successfully carried out on 20th April 2026 at Thripitaka Sathdharma Viharaya, Middeniya. This phase aimed to promote sustainable energy adoption through the installation of solar-powered street lighting in public spaces, contributing to a cleaner, safer and more energy-efficient community.

Collectively, Project Sustania reflects a well-coordinated effort to address essential community needs while fostering long-term sustainability and environmental awareness.

Jointly organized by Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa and Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, this project was launched in celebration of World Tourism Day with a clear mission: to showcase Sri Lanka’s cultural richness and natural beauty while advocating responsible and sustainable tourism.

Cey Trek 2025 is more than a digital magazine; it is a thoughtfully curated travel guide designed to tell the story of Sri Lanka in an authentic and inspiring way. Sri Lanka, often described as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean, is a land of extraordinary diversity. From golden coastlines and misty hill country to ancient kingdoms and sacred temples, the island holds centuries of history and vibrant traditions within its shores. Yet, beyond the popular tourist destinations lies a world of hidden gems and lesser-known experiences that deserve recognition.

Recognizing this, the organizing committee set out to create a publication that would go beyond conventional tourism promotion. The magazine carefully highlights not only iconic landmarks but also emerging destinations, local traditions and cultural practices that define Sri Lanka’s unique identity. Through engaging articles, informative insights and visually appealing design, Cey Trek 2025 invites readers to see the island through a lens of appreciation rather than mere consumption.

A defining feature of the project is its strong emphasis on sustainability. Tourism plays a vital role in Sri Lanka’s economy, but it also carries responsibility. Cey Trek 2025 encourages readers to travel consciously to respect local customs, protect natural ecosystems, support small-scale entrepreneurs and minimize environmental impact. Project Eldra was a phase-wise initiative by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, dedicated to empowering senior citizens through financial awareness, skill development and digital inclusion, while enhancing their overall well-being and independence.

“Eldra - Phase 01” was successfully implemented as a two-day programme aimed at strengthening financial security and entrepreneurial potential among elders. The first session was held on 29th January 2026 at the Moratuwa Social Services Elders Home, focusing on financial literacy and social security awareness. Participants were educated on pension rights, available government benefits and essential financial management practices, ensuring a clear understanding of the support systems accessible to them.

The second session took place on 15th February 2026 at the Egoda Uyana Elders Society Hall, focusing on entrepreneurship and skill development. Senior participants engaged in handicraft activities such as knitting, sewing, and weaving, while also being introduced to basic branding and product presentation techniques. Guidance was provided on refining and positioning their handmade products to enhance market readiness and support income generation.

“Eldra - Phase 02” was conducted on 29th March 2026 at the residence of Senior Lecturer Mr. Gnanasiri Peiris in Wattala. This phase aimed to bridge the digital divide by empowering a senior citizen to explore creative potential through digital platforms. As part of this initiative, support was provided to launch a YouTube channel, transforming lifelong experiences and folk tales into meaningful digital content.

“Eldra - Phase 03” was carried out at the Moratuwa Social Services Elders Home. This phase focused on providing public exposure for the talents of senior citizens by supporting them in showcasing their handmade products. The initiative highlighted how creative skills could be transformed into opportunities for self-employment, developing confidence and a renewed sense of purpose.

මොරටු විද්‍යාර්ථීන්ගේ කලාත්මක දක්ෂතා, මිහිරි ගායන හා ආකර්ෂණීය නර්තනාංගයන්ගෙන් හැඩවුණු මෙම සංගීත සන්ධ්‍යාවට විශේෂ ආකර්ෂණයක් එක් කළේ ප්‍රවීණ ගායක ධ්‍යාන් හේවගේ මහතාගේ සජීවී ගීත ගායනයයි. සංගීතය, රිද්මය සහ තරුණ කලාකාමීත්වය එක්වූ මෙම සොඳුරු රාත්‍රිය, පැදුරකට එහා ගිය මියැසි අසපුවක් ලෙස දිදුලන්නට සමත් විය.

HOPE³

HOPE³ is a project focused on raising awareness about pediatric cancer and highlighting the importance of early detection, treatment and community support. The initiative aimed to educate the public, reduce stigma and encourage people to stand in support of children affected by cancer and their families.

The project was built on a simple idea: bringing people together to create awareness through action. Rather than limiting efforts to discussions, HOPE³ created opportunities for individuals to actively participate and contribute to the cause.

5K run and a community walk organized by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa

One of the key strengths of HOPE³ was its international collaboration. Leo clubs from Sri Lanka, India and Brazil carried out activities under a shared objective, creating a wider reach for the message and strengthening the impact of the initiative.

Locally, the project included several community-based events. A 5K run and a community walk were organized to engage participants and create visibility for pediatric cancer awareness. These activities encouraged people to come together while understanding and supporting the cause.

International partner clubs also contributed through their own initiatives. A cycle rally organized by Leo Club of Guwahati South in India and a beach tennis tournament organized by Leo Club of Frontera de Sudoeste in Brazil added to the overall reach of the project. Each activity supported the same goal of raising awareness through active participation.

All funds collected through HOPE³ were donated to Apeksha Hospital to support the treatment and care of children battling cancer. This ensured that the project created not only awareness but also direct and meaningful support for those in need.

Leo Club of University of Moratuwa successfully conducted Project “Clean Coast” on 12 March 2026, making a meaningful contribution to environmental conservation and community service. The project focused on strengthening long-term coastal preservation by supporting local communities and conservation efforts with sustainable beach-cleaning resources.

As part of the initiative, eco-friendly manual sand-sifting beach cleaning tools were donated to the Turtle Conservation Project, Panadura and the Coastal Conservation Department Area Office, Moratuwa. These specialized tools are designed to remove plastic waste, micro-debris and other pollutants from coastal areas without harming marine ecosystems or disturbing the natural environment.

By introducing sustainable and non-motorized cleaning equipment, “Clean Coast” promotes regular beach conservation practices while supporting the protection of marine biodiversity and the natural beauty of Sri Lanka’s coastline. Through the collective efforts of Leos, university students and conservation officials, the project highlighted the power of collaboration in creating a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Multiple District Premier League 2025

Strengthening inter-district unity through sport, the Multiple District Premier League (MDPL) 2025 was added to the Leo calendar as a significant cricketing event. The tournament was successfully held on 11th January 2026 at the Somaweera Chandrasiri Playground, Piliyandala. Organized by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, the event brought together competitive teams representing all twelve Leo Districts providing a platform for sportsmanship, leadership and fellowship.

From the opening ceremony onwards, the ground maintained an atmosphere of enthusiasm and anticipation. The official toss marked the commencement of the tournament followed by a series of well-organized matches conducted under the supervision of match officials, scorers and umpires. Team introductions and warm-up sessions preceded the matches and after four competitive encounters, the final match was held. The knockout stages intensified the competition as teams demonstrated determination and resilience. Continuous on-ground commentary ensured a professional tournament atmosphere, alongside dedicated photography and videography teams documenting key moments.

At the conclusion of the tournament, Team "Tetra Ravens" representing Leo District D4 emerged as the Champions of MDPL 2025. Team "Southern Crooks" representing Leo District D8 secured the position of 1st Runners-Up and team "D6 Titans" representing Leo District D8 claimed the title of 2nd Runners-Up following consistent performances.

With the tournament concluding on a successful note, all participating teams, sponsors, Leo leaders and Leo members from all districts, prospects and supporters contributed to the overall success of the event, making MDPL 2025 a meaningful celebration of competitive cricket and Leo fellowship.

“Education knows no borders when young minds come together with a shared purpose”

In an era where the business landscape is evolving faster than ever, empowering youth with relevant, practical knowledge has become a global necessity. Responding to this need, a six-month international project titled “Virtual Classroom for All” was successfully conducted as a joint project between Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, Leo Club of Mumbai Western Suburbs, Leo Club of Guwahati South, Leo Club of Silchar Care, Leo Club of Chittagong (Bangladesh) and Leo Club of Gajwel Prerena. Commencing in early August and concluding in January, the project stood as a powerful testament to youth-led collaboration beyond geographical boundaries.

The primary objective of the project was to empower global youth by delivering insightful, practical and engaging content aligned with the modern business world. Through a carefully structured series of virtual sessions, participants were exposed to essential professional competencies such as personal branding, CV and résumé drafting, email etiquette, report writing, interview readiness and other career-oriented skills. Each participating Leo club conducted two sessions, ensuring balanced representation, diverse perspectives and sustained engagement throughout the six-month duration.

One of the defining strengths of “Virtual Classroom for All” was its international collaboration model. By bringing together youth leaders, subject experts and Leo members from multiple regions, the project developed a rich cross-cultural exchange enabling participants to learn from varied experiences, professional environments and cultural contexts. This global dialogue not only enhanced knowledge-sharing but also inspired participants to think beyond local boundaries and embrace global opportunities.

The project also delivered significant mutual benefits to all collaborating clubs. Joint promotions across international platforms enhanced global recognition and visibility while speakers, hosts and organizing teams benefited from skill development through real-time learning, leadership exposure and professional engagement. Furthermore, the project created valuable networking opportunities, connecting participants with international professionals and peers and strengthening inter-club relationships through meaningful twin and allied club collaboration.

A key highlight of the project was its focus on sustainability and long-term impact. All sessions were archived, allowing continued access for future learners and ensuring that the educational value of the initiative extended well beyond its active timeline. Through this effort, the participating Leo clubs collectively strengthened their brand presence as advocates of youth education and global empowerment.

The project beautifully embraced traditional Hindu rituals and cultural values, creating a meaningful space to honor gratitude, unity and heritage.

Through sacred blessings at the kovil, the preparation and sharing of Pongal symbolized thankfulness, generosity and togetherness among all participants. The event brought communities together in a joyful celebration of culture while strengthening bonds through shared traditions and spiritual observance.

“மிත්‍රන් 2.0” was more than a festive gathering, it was a heartfelt expression of harmony, cultural appreciation and unity, reflecting the power of tradition in bringing people together. “Dream in Motion” is an inspiring project organized by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa to support young children from primary schools who possess the potential to excel in sports but are unable to participate in further competitions due to the lack of proper sports equipment.

The project was conducted on 22nd December 2025 at Kananke Primary School, where the Leos met children who demonstrated enthusiasm and strong motivation to develop their sporting abilities but were limited by the absence of adequate equipment.

During the event, the Leos handed over essential sports equipment to the children. Their enthusiasm and excitement were truly heart-warming, as they were finally given the opportunity to enhance their skills through proper equipment and structured practice.

With access to the necessary resources, the children were able to practice with confidence and improve their abilities through regular training sessions. Beyond developing their sporting skills, they also strengthened their confidence and determination to succeed in life.

“Dream in Motion” served as a reminder that sometimes all a child needs is a small push to move closer to his or her dreams. The success of the project was made possible through the dedication of the Leo members and the valuable support of the school staff, who collectively contributed to creating a meaningful experience for the children.

Leo Club of University of Moratuwa remains committed to nurturing young talent and providing equal opportunities for children. “Dream in Motion” reaffirmed that when young dreams are encouraged, children gain the confidence to move forward and truly shine.

Web Wizards

Leo Club of University of Moratuwa proudly launched “Web Wizards”, a forward-looking project designed to introduce school students to the world of web development. In a rapidly evolving digital era, the project aims to equip young learners with essential skills that will help them navigate future academic and career opportunities with confidence.

The journey began with interactive sessions at selected schools, including Thalahena Maha Vidyalaya, Moratuwa Maha Vidyalaya and Sri Lanka Air Force School, Katunayake, where over two hundred students from Grades 8 to 10 participated. Guided by undergraduates from the University of Moratuwa, the sessions provided an engaging introduction to web development and its relevance in the modern world. Students gained insight into the fundamentals of websites, the significance of coding skills and the potential impact of digital knowledge on their future paths.

To extend learning beyond the classroom, dedicated WhatsApp groups were established for each school, allowing students to register for a series of online sessions. Beginning on 15th October 2025, these weekly sessions were led by resource persons including Mr. Tharindu Kalhara and Mr. Uvindu Abewardhana. The sessions gradually introduced students to key web development concepts, from understanding how websites work to learning HTML and CSS and eventually exploring WordPress as a practical tool for creating websites.

Over the course of the series, students gained hands-on experience building web pages, styling them with CSS and developing projects using WordPress elements such as themes, plugins and custom HTML. The program culminated in a quiz, recognizing students who demonstrated active participation and a strong understanding of the topics covered.

The project received widespread appreciation from students, parents and teachers alike. Students were motivated by the opportunity to engage with technology practically, while teachers valued the chance to complement the school curriculum with skills not typically covered in classrooms. We sincerely thank all resource persons and everyone who supported the project, whose contributions were invaluable to the success of this project.

Web Wizards successfully achieved its goal of providing a strong foundation in web development for young learners, inspiring them to explore digital technology further and empowering them with skills that will serve them well in the future.

Eco Spark

EcoSpark - Innovative Idea Challenge 2025 was a project by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, created to inspire Sri Lankan undergraduates to think boldly and develop innovative solutions for a greener, more resilient future.

Under the theme “Sustaining Life Through Innovation” EcoSpark invited submissions addressing real-world challenges such as clean water, energy conservation, climate resilience and renewable technologies. Participants selected from a range of curated topics, enabling them to analyze key issues and propose solutions that were practical, scalable and transformative.

More than a writing competition, EcoSpark served as a platform to nurture young innovators. Undergraduates gained the opportunity to present their ideas before respected academics and industry professionals, receive national recognition and contribute meaningfully to Sri Lanka’s sustainable development journey. Outstanding submissions were recognized with certificates of excellence, article publications and the opportunity to be featured in the official publication, “The EcoSpark Manifesto”. Selected top ideas were further highlighted through national platforms, while all participants received e-certificates in recognition of their contributions.

Conceptualized by Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, EcoSpark encourages undergraduates to think critically and creatively, proving that meaningful change can begin with a single idea driven by passion and purpose.

Unwritten Chapters

Senior citizens are an essential part of every community, carrying with them a lifetime of experiences and wisdom. Yet in a fast-paced world, their voices are often overlooked and their stories remain unheard. "Unwritten Chapters" was created to recognize these individuals and bring their untold journeys into the spotlight.

The project is built on the belief that the experiences of senior citizens hold lasting value. Their lives have shaped families, traditions and communities, and their stories offer meaningful lessons for younger generations. By sharing these narratives, "Unwritten Chapters" encourages understanding, respect and stronger connections between generations.

To bring this vision to life, the project features a short film and a podcast. The short film highlights simple actions that reflect care, patience and respect toward senior citizens. Through everyday moments, it reminds viewers of the importance of supporting elders and building compassionate relationships.

A key element of the project is the podcast featuring Senior Lyricist Mr. Upali Ariyarathna. In this conversation, he reflects on his life journey, the challenges he faced and the values that guided him as an artist and individual. His insights on aging and his advice to young people offer a meaningful perspective shaped by experience.

"Unwritten Chapters" is more than a creative project. It is a tribute to senior citizens and a reminder to value, protect and listen to their stories. By preserving these voices, the project aims to inspire empathy and ensure that the wisdom of our elders continues to guide future generations.

Introduced via an official Zoom launch, WellSync marked a significant step in combining community service with digital innovation to empower individuals in their personal wellness journeys.

WellSync offers an all-in-one wellness experience through features such as mood and emotional pattern tracking, smart journaling, goal planning, nutrition and calorie monitoring and personalized exercise guidance. Designed to simplify wellness management, the platform encourages users to build healthier habits while maintaining balance in their daily lives.

More than just a digital platform, “WellSync” reflects Leo Club of University of Moratuwa’s commitment to pioneering meaningful innovation for social impact. By redefining wellness through technology, the project created a powerful space where health, mindfulness and innovation come together to support a healthier future.

Sparkle Hearts

Christmas is a season rooted in compassion, inclusivity and the joy of caring for one another. Embracing these values, Leo Club of University of Moratuwa in collaboration with Pepiliyana Woodlands Leo Club organized “Sparkle Hearts”, a meaningful Christmas initiative dedicated to sharing happiness and hope with children who truly embody the spirit of resilience.

The event was held at Sevana Special School and Child Care Centre, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, where the day unfolded as a celebration of warmth, creativity and togetherness. It began with a simple, yet heartfelt breakfast prepared by the organizing committee, creating a welcoming atmosphere and setting up a positive tone for the celebration. Sharing a meal together helped the children feel comfortable, valued and included from the very beginning.

As the day continued, a series of engaging activities brought smiles and excitement to the children. A drawing competition allowed them to express their creativity while interactive games and entertainment sessions filled the space with laughter and energy. These activities reflected the joy, freedom and togetherness that make Christmas special.

A key moment of the event was the distribution of gifts to all children, each carefully prepared to spread festive cheer. Along with the gifts, raw materials were provided for making handmade wristbands, which the children will later sell at their institute’s sales. This initiative was designed to support the centre while encouraging the children to take part in a meaningful and empowering activity.

Sparkle Hearts united individuals from diverse backgrounds to uplift and inspire children with disabilities. The project captured the true spirit of Christmas, leaving behind memories filled with joy, dignity and hope.

ගොඩිගමුව ලියෝ සමාජය හා මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයීය ලියෝ සමාජය එක්ව සංවිධානය කළ “දැල්වෙන මතක” සුනාමි අනුස්මරණ ව්‍යාපෘතිය, 2004 වර්ෂයේ ශ්‍රී ලංකාවට බලපෑ රුදුරු සුනාමියෙන් දිවි අහිමි වූ ආදරණීය ජනතාව සිහිපත් කරමින් 2025 දෙසැම්බර් 26 වන දින සර්වාගමික සිද්ධස්ථාන හතරකදී පැවැත්විණි. ජාති, ආගම්, භාෂා භේදයන් ඉක්මවා යමින්, වියෝවූ ජීවිතවල නොමියෙන මතක ආධ්‍යාත්මික ආලෝකයෙන් සිහිපත් කිරීම මෙම ව්‍යාපෘතියේ මූලික අරමුණ විය.

මෙම අනුස්මරණ වැඩසටහන සුවාරපොල ශ්‍රී සුධර්ශනාරාම විහාරස්ථානය, විල්ලෝරාවත්ත සාන්ත කාර්ලෝ බ්රෝමියෝ දේවස්ථානය, යාපනය අරලි දකුණ වඩ්ඩුකොඩෙයි මාතන්කෝවිලඩි කෝවීලය සහ සම්මන්තුරෙයි බාතර් හිජ්රා ජුම්මාහ් පල්ලිය යන සර්වාගමික ස්ථානවලදී පැවැත්වූ අතර, එය ශ්‍රී ලාංකේය එකමුතුව, සංවේදනාව සහ අනුස්මරණයේ ගැඹුරු අර්ථය ප්‍රකාශ කළ සුවිශේෂී අවස්ථාවක් විය.

Dream Safe

Leo Club of University of Moratuwa, in collaboration with Lions Club of Negombo Horizon, successfully carried out Project “Dream Safe” on 21st December 2025 at Methodist Children’s Home and St. Anne’s Children’s Home, Thummodara. Organized in response to the recent floods, this compassionate community initiative aimed to restore comfort, safety and hope to children affected by the disaster.

Through the donation of mattresses, the project provided children with safer and more comfortable spaces to rest and recover while addressing one of their essential needs during a challenging time. In addition to the donations, a clean-up initiative was also conducted to help restore cleaner, healthier and more secure living environments within the children’s homes.

“Dream Safe” was more than a relief project, it was a collective effort to rebuild comfort, care and emotional security for young lives impacted by floods. By creating cleaner surroundings and providing essential resources, the initiative symbolized compassion, resilience and the power of community service.

කාලයට ඔබින ලෙස නිරන්තරයෙන් නව සංකල්ප ඔස්සේ වැඩසටහන් දියත් කරන මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයීය ලියෝ සමාජය විසින් සංවිධානය කළ තවත් එක් නවමු අත්දැකීමක් "හිතවන්ති" සංගීත සන්ධ්‍යාව ලෙස දිගහැරුණි. විඩාබර ඒකාකාරී දිවි පෙවෙතකට උරුමකම් කියන වත්මන් පරපුරට සැනසුම් සුසුමක් හෙළන්නට ගෙත්තම් කළ ප්‍රේමණීය තනුව ලෙස "හිතවන්ති Live in Concert" සංගීත සන්ධ්‍යාව හැඳින්විය හැකිය.

මෙම සංගීත සන්ධ්‍යාව 2025 ඔක්තෝබර් මස 15 වැනි දින සවස 6.00 සිට මොරටුව විශ්ව විද්‍යාලයීය සුමනදාස එළිමහන් පරිශ්‍රයේදී සාර්ථකව පැවැත්විණි. සුමුදු හැඟීම් ගී හඬට මුසු කරමින් දිගහැරුණු එම සන්ධ්‍යාව වර්ණ ගන්වන්නට මිහිරි ස්වරයන්ගේ සොඳුරු අයිතිකරුවන් වන තරිඳු දම්සර, පසිඳු ගංගාධර, ගජිඳු ෆොන්සේකා, උවිඳු ඓශ්චර්ය, සියුමිණි ඔපයන්ගි සහ ධ්‍යාන් හේවගේ යන ප්‍රවීණ කලාකරුවන් "හිතවන්ති" සමඟ එක්විය. එම මිහිරි නාදයන් වයලීන තනු වලින් වර්ණවත් කරමින් ප්‍රවීණ වයලීන් වාදන ශිල්පිණි මිතිනි දිසානායක (Violin Girl) සහෝදරිය මෙම සංගීත සන්ධ්‍යාවට නැවුම් අරුතක් එක් කළාය.

මෙම සංගීත සන්ධ්‍යාව සාර්ථක කර ගැනීමට ගෞරවනීය ආයතන බොහොමයක් අප හට අනුගාහකත්වය ලබාදුන් අතර ඔවුන් සියලු දෙනාට අපගේ හදපිරි ස්තූතිය පුදකර සිටිමු. එමෙන්ම තවත් බොහෝ පාර්ශවයන් "හිතවන්ති" සාර්ථක කර ගැනීමට සහයෝගය ලබාදුණි.

සුභාවිත සප්ත ස්වර ගැළපුමෙන් විඩාබර සිත් වලට සංගීතයේ ඔසු ගල්වන්නට "හිතවන්ති" සංගීත සන්ධ්‍යාව සමත් විය. සංගීතයෙන් හදවත් සුවපත් කළ මෙම සුවඳැති සන්ධ්‍යාව සහභාගී වූ සියලු දෙනාට ආදරණීය මතකයක් බවට පත් වූ බව නොරහසකි.
