Here at Uptown Buckhead, your premier pet-friendly apartment community in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta, we love seeing our pet owners with their adorable pets out and about. The only thing cuter than a pug, chihuahua or kitty is one that’s dressed up in a tiny costume. Wouldn’t you agree?

This February, Uptown Buckhead will be hosting a Cutest Pet Contest on our Facebook page to see who really has the cutest pet! Entering the contest is very simple. Here’s what you do:

Visit our Facebook page and become a fan if you haven’t already.
Upload a photo on our Facebook wall of your pet in a costume no later than February 24, 2012. (If you don’t have a photo, stop by our office and we’ll take one for you!)
Visit our Uptown Buckhead Facebook page and “like” your favorite picture by February 27th. Tell your Facebook friends about the Cutest Pet Contest so that you can get the most “likes.”

The photo with the most “likes” will be our winner and will receive a $100 Visa gift card!

Attack Attack! are a metalcore/post-hardore band formed in Columbus, Ohio in 2005. The original lineup consisted of Austin Carlile, Ricky Lortz, Nick White, Andrew Wetzel, and Andrew Whiting. Caleb Shomo joined the band as their keyboardist and Johnny Franck joined as rhythm guitarist and clean vocalist. Nick White left the band soon afterward and John Holgado became their new bassist.The band’s musical style consists of mainly metalcore and post-hardcore with elements of electronic music mixed in. The main electronic elements include some usage of Auto-Tune, synth and keyboard playing, and techno-based breakdowns.

Known for her eccentric style (she makes all of her elaborate fashion ensembles herself) as well as her prodigious musical talent (she began reading notes before learning the alphabet and was already playing violin at four years old), Emilie spent her youth playing concert halls throughout the U.S. and Europe as a classical violinist before going mad, landing herself in an insane asylum, and emerging as a rock singer with a murderous streak.

With the Superbowl just a few short weeks away, it’s time to start planning what you’re going to do. Will you spend the evening at a friend’s place or throw a small get together at your Uptown Buckhead apartment? If the latter sounds more your speed, we’ve got a great recipe for you to try out that will keep your guests coming back for more. It’s much better than ordering a party sub, and packs a lot of flavor.

Hot Ham Sandwiches

As you watch the big game, enjoy some delicious snacks!

Hawaiian Sweet Rolls (12 small rolls to a bag)
Provolone Cheese slices
Thin Ham Slices

Mix together:

1 small diced onion
1 stick butter at room temp
3 Tablespoons mustard
3 Tablespoons poppy seed

Cut rolls in half, put one slice of ham and cheese and then spread poppy seed mix like you would a condiment on one side of sandwich. Heat as instructed on Sweet Rolls, usually 10-15 minutes at 300.

Serve warm.

Take a Fun-Filled Snow Day at Snow Mountain this Winter!
