He said this little guy is nothing but sweetness! A rescuer in the area contacted us because she was already overwhelmed. Rory is about three months old, charming, smart and cute as a button!

Meet the original Eli. A fellow small dog rescuer spotted him at the Chattooga County shelter and couldn’t leave him behind. We found a spot for him. Eli is a 3 year old yellow lab/golden retriever mix. Super calm and sweet. Eli is very likely housetrained and great with other dogs, in fact he loves the company! Eli really enjoys life and is a pleasure to be around. He lights up any room with a personality that simply shines through.This boy is a joy and seemingly an easy keeper. Best of all, he has smiles aplenty and why not….he’s on his way to finding a forever home!

Foster Update!Herbie is a great dog. I will be sorry to see him off…He seems out of the puppy stage, yet still playful and good with kids. He is good on a leash and knows a few commands such as Sit, Shake, Lay Down. He’s been sleeping downstairs at night without incident. He’s seen a few cats on our walks, but doesn’t seem too bothered by them. Overall a great dog!

Herbie is a wonderful 3 year old yellow lab who was picked up as a stray. His coat is a beautiful golden hue, in great condition and overall he is good shape. It appears someone has cared for this boy at one time. He adores people and makes friends easily. He’s well socialized, playful and has a sweet temperament.

One of the great things about living in Uptown Buckhead is that the apartment community is located within close proximity to major points of interest around Buckhead.  Having a number of great restaurants and bars within walking distance of your apartment allows you to start your TGIF celebration here with friends before heading out for the evening.

Since Buckhead has become one of Atlanta’s premier nightlife destinations, you may find that you have a difficult time grabbing a drink at one of the more popular bars.  For this reason, a few speakeasy bars have popped up around town that only people “in the know” will be able to find and enter.  Bar hopping can be much more fun when you are required to find a hidden door and say a secret password to get in!  Patrons can also benefit from enjoying beverages in a less crowded environment.  Listed below are a few of these exclusive “secret” bars around Atlanta:

• Prohibition (56 East Andrews Drive in Buckhead): If you’re looking for a door to get into this bar, you won’t find one.  Instead, you will see a red English phone booth, and you need to know the secret phone number to get into the bar.  If you have the password, you enter the bar through the phone booth.  Once you’re in, you can enjoy cocktails, cigars, and more in the comfort of large comfy fireside booths.
• The Fred (5600 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs): This speakeasy bar is located underneath Taco Mac in The Prado shopping center.  To be admitted to this exclusive bar, you must have tried at least 13 different beers on your Brewniversity card upstairs in Taco Mac (over the course of several visits).  The appeal of this bar is that it has a more elite selection of beers and provides a more intimate environment.
• War Room (3223 Cains Hill Place in Buckhead): This hidden bar sits underneath Buckhead’s ever popular Churchill’s British Pub.  While there is a membership fee for this bar, members can benefit from a wider drink selection, less crowded environment, and free rides home if you are not in a position to drive.
