Met him a couple of times, but never worked under him as he'd retired by the time I joined the Info Crew.

Well this turned out to a whole lot better than expected. I'd been given a freebie as my friend was playing in John McKay's band and found myself being blown away by the Psychedelic Furs and Billy Idol who was hilariously brilliant, prowling the stage like a cartoon version of a rock star and taking the piss out of himself freely.
