For instance, one of my main functions as pater familia lately has been finding new and more efficient ways to avoid breakdown, both from the 5 year old attention sicking TB and the 3 week old Mr. A (like the new nickname??? @glowstars’s idea… not very creative but hey…. )

And because the necessity id the mother of ingenuity, last Wednesday brought to light my latest creation: the baby hanger… Now you ask me: what’s wrong with the common run-off-the-mill rocking support for Mr. A’s Moses? Well nothing, except for the fact that it does the whole sort of motion if you want him to actually fall asleep.

I discovered that after actually spending 30 min swinging  the Moses as I walked around the house. It worked so I had to give it a try. And here’s the result:

What do you say?!?!? Pretty inspired uh?!?!?!

And who says that photography equipment can be used only for photography?!?!?!?!

So WHY ON EARTH do I so desperately NEED to have an iPad???

The worst thing is that I don’t really need one… you see… we have a household ratio of 2 computers per person here (I’ve got 2 desktops that I use for work… yup I NEED BOTH of them… seriously… ) 2 laptops (one of which TB’s been claiming as his own since the old one he inherited from me decided it wanted to RIP… he chose the tiny one I take everywhere because it fits everywhere And apparently it is TB sized), 2 iphones (not computers… but face it… you can do all the important things with them like checking emails, blogging, watching TV… playing games… and they have infinitely more computer power than the Apollo 11, let’s not forget that!!)

There is no doubt about that… I am a gadget addict and I am trying to convince myself that I don’t need another toy… it is kinda like trying yo convince TB that he doesn’t need any more LEGO.

I don’t know if you ever noticed that but Avatar is a movie… and Pandora is a fictional world for goodness sake!

There are far more important things in REAL Earth to maky you feel depressed or even to LIFT you out of the depression…

I know London had the second highest index of depression in the world but for goodness sake… IT IS JUST A MOVIE!!! You either understand that or you will have to accept that vampires and werewolves exist (sorry Ed and Jacob teams… they DON’t).

The fact is that people keeps trying to find any old excuse to be depressed now a days… it is chick and fashionable to be depressed and 60% of the times WE ARE THE ONES THAT PUT OURSELVES IN THAT CONDITION!!!

OK… I admit that a movie can make you sad and gloomy right after you see it… but contemplating suicide because the world you live is not just like the one you just saw in a syfy movie?!?!?! Come on… just GROW UP!!!

My advice to you: Go and watch the movie… it is awesome… and it didn’t make me slightest depressed… apart from the fact that I’ll have to wait for a while to what the sequel…

If you feel like sad and gloomy and depressed afterwards, go and see a doctor… You might even get happy pills prescribed… fun isn’t it??? I promise I won;t think lesser of you if you get depressed because of Avatar and Pandora… (yeah right…)

Am I being too harsh??? Maybe… I am in one of those moods today…

But how about you??? what do you think of all that “I am depressed because I’ve seen a sad (not at all) movie” thing??

But seriously… what is it about snow that makes grown men behave like children? Makes you smile and laugh with strangers (some guy fell on his ass on the snow and was laughing sitting on the floor… he looked at me and said: “That’s all I needed today: a wet frozen ass!” and went back to laughing…

and I laughed too…

Felt like throwing myself on de snow and making an angel while recording the video… then I thought better… too coooooold! hehehe

Page turned, and time to start a new one. I mark the year with a new step in the right direction. Or so I hope.

I am ready for 2010 mow… Bring it on! I am ready to make new mistakes (as long as they are NOT the same I’ve made last year), and to do new things right!!

I am not taking new year’s resolutions – although I do want to shed a few pounds, spend more quality time with my family, go on vacations, blog more often, Video Log more often, concentrate more into work and procrastinate less… – and I will take life step by step and take problems and opportunities as they come… the bad WITH the good…

In 2010 I want to take LOADS of photos and record hours of video – both in a private and a professional sphere – and I want to make full use of all the equipment I have… specially the bits I’ve never used…

In 2010 I will clear my to do lists quickly and efficiently… yeah… that’ll be a dream come true… LOL

In 2010 I will find myself again… and when I do there will be no stopping me…

OK… Looks like I DO have a few new years resolutions after all… and THAT’s the last you’ve heard of it!!

Now… let’s get this party started!!!!
