Researching can be a pain when you're doing school projects, comparing good products, and finding hard evidence and logic to explanations.

Here I created 3 motives for you to have in mind when you research and look for information. Be warned, the internet is vast and you would be surprised that actually there are a lot of false and in-accurate information. Hence the saying, don't believe everything on the internet.

1. Don't trust one Site

Many people just go on a search engine and for lazy and trusting anything, they believe the first link or thing they see.

Always get 3 valid or well-known sites.

2. Trust the information when you Understand it

When you find your information, make sure you understand it. Don't copy and paste it on a document and decide it'll do. Most of the times if your brain doesn't understand the text or it doesn't seem logical it'll avoid and try to remove that information.

Take the time to read it and understand it which saves time in last minute situations.

And Finally!

3. Backcheck Backcheck Never Forget

Once you have found your information and evidence, Copy a portion or the main idea of the text and search it on Google or other search engines.

Look in the results if other sites have the same information. If they do great! You should be done researching! If they don't, time to start with #1 again!

Notes:

Wikipedia: Everyone in their lifetime has probably been told Wikipedia is untrust worthy because "anyone" can edit the information.

I beg to differ.

The famous and well known topics or information are reviewed and not open for editing to the public. Most are locked and protected. I believe as long as you don't use only wikipedia as your source then you should be fine using the information in projects.
