SGA Elections!!!!!

Well everyone is back from their Christmas Holiday and into the swing of things again. It's a very busy time on campus as well with the upcoming SGA Executive Officer Elections. I love this time of year because you really get to see everyone come out and truly address the issues that mean so much to all of the students.

It's kind of bittersweet to me this year because with the coming in of our new officers that means that the current ones must move on out. I guess for me this is one of the solidifying events the let's me know that I am old news and that my time here is quickly coming to an end.

I'm taking some really interesting yet hard classes this semester. I sometimes wish that I could have the easy underwater basket weaving classes that all of my friends have in their last semesters, but oh well that's what I get for changing my major so late in the game; at least I'm still graduating on time.

Our football team is having some huge breakthroughs lately with some big time signings as a result of our new coach. The official signing party is tonight at the convention center and is sure to be a huge party.

I'm getting very excited about my move to Indianapolis. Over the Holiday break I interviewed for a job working as a Leadership Consultant for my National Fraternity. I ended up getting the job and will be moving to Indianapolis in June. My mom isn't to excited about the far-away move, but will soon get used to it I suppose.

Thanksgiving Break!!

So it's the day after Thanksgiving and I'm still full from eating yesterday and all of the leftovers today. I had a good break in Mandeville, and I'm back in Hattiesburg now. I have to work tomorrow morning and the last home game of the season is tomorrow. This is my last football game as an undergrad.

Well it's going to be a busy next couple of weeks. We have two weeks of classes before finals begin. With all of that going on I am also preparing for a job interview the second week of December in Indianapolis, IN. I'm really excited about it and I hope it all works out.

I've spent a good bit of tonight studying for the GRE. I take it on Thursday...wish me luck.

Until next time.....Southern Miss to the Top!!!

Homecoming Week!

So last week concluded with unfortunate losses by both of my teams both Southern Miss and the New Orleans Saints. Hopefully we will be able to make up for both of those losses this week.

It's Homecoming Week this on campus. Our campus is so alive with busy students stuffing their floats, administration preparing for all of the week's events, and old friends and alumni coming back to show their continued support for a place that they love so much.

I have been given the opportunity to be an escort for one of the maids this year and I just so happen to be assigned to one of my good friends, and the Student Body Maid Beth Richardson. We have been friends since freshmen year and it's kind of cool to be able to escort her for Homecoming our Senior year.

We had new officer elections for my fraternity and my best friend was elected to serve as our new President. I'm very proud of him and feel he will do great things for ATO.

Well with all of that being said if anyone happens to be in the Hattiesburg area come out and support the Golden Eagles for Homecoming....SOUTHERN MISS TO THE TOP!!!!

October Already!

So it's October 1st already. It seems like September lasted for all of about 3 days. I guess time really does fly when you are having fun. I had a pretty good weekend. I took the LSAT on Saturday which was possibly the hardest test that I have ever taken in my life. I'm just glad it's over. Other than that I'm pumped about our home game on Wednesday against Rice. We haven't had a home game in about a month. Well I'm headed to Adolescent Psych and then to advisement for my last semester.
