Will you watch In Darkness Movie???
Watch In Darkness Movie Online with high streaming speed. In the realm of Holocaust survival tales, In Darkness occupies a rather uncommon position in that virtue and vice are attributed to Jews and non-Jews alike. This story of suffering and nearly inadvertent humanitarianism is harrowing, engrossing, claustrophobic and typically literally laborious to observe, since abundant of the action takes place within the dim sewers beneath Lvov (aka Lviv),where a roughly a dozen Polish Jews hid from the Nazis for over a year, tenuously protected by a Catholic employee with no initial reason to assist them apart from gelt.

are you ready to watch Rampart movie???
Oren Moverman scripts this story out of the LAPD’s Rampart separation humiliation that rocked the section and contaminated the countenance of American security forces in the late 1990s. Woody Harrelson plays the character of the LAPD soiled filch, Dave Brown with sunglasses of a jeopardized psychology – and harmful mix of ethics and aggression. He portrays a LAPD cop, who has injected a lot of disorder into specialized habits, as he in progress commerce out fairness on his will. His relations with his two children, and his two sisters is as anxious as is his occupation, and he moves in and out of it so that it doesn’t smother him absolutely. He drives up and down the LA streets, governs and deals out his punishments beneath his possess rule. He had seen cop-life positive aspect, and had realized the uselessness of human being labors to unsoil up belongings approximately. As we watch Rampart online, we acquire to perceive a cop bureaucrat who had missing curiosity in magnificent the regulation in a copy book approach in a white-colored and a sparkling method.

Hi,

This forum helped me big time understanding the process. So just thought of sharing my experience, that may help others in same boat

I am in US right but I am an IMG from India.

I created my ECFMG ID back in September and completed USMLE application in December.

I used 186 (Notarized one, as I am already in US).
Sent 186, 187, 344 and 345 back home.

My family back home managed to get necessary sigsn from my med school and they sent back all of these forms (make sure 2 copies of 345) to ECFMG.

ECFMG received these on Jan 23 but they did not update the system until Jan 30. Though I got mail on 30th, online system showed receipt date 23 only.
That day I got mail confirming receipt -

---------------------
We are pleased to confirm that your Certification of Identification Form (Form 186) has been received by ECFMG. Your USMLE/ECFMG Identification Number is listed in the Subject line of this message. You must use this number in all communications with ECFMG.

ECFMG typically processes on-line USMLE applications within 3 weeks of receipt of both the on-line part and the Certification of Identification Form (Form 186). You may track the status of your application by using ECFMG's On-line Applicant Status and Information System (OASIS). Access OASIS on the ECFMG website at oasis.ecfmg.org.
---------------------------

Next on Feb 7 I got mail confirming Acceptance of form -

--------------------------
Your Certification of Identification Form submitted 12/**/2011 has been accepted. This form will remain on file and be valid for a period of five years. The validity dates are as follows: 02/07/2012 through 02/07/2017.

The Certification of Identification Form is processed independently of the on-line application. Acceptance of the Certification of Identification Form does not automatically guarantee acceptance of the application. Once your application has been reviewed, ECFMG will notify you of the outcome of your application.

---------------------------

Very same day I got another mail -

----------------------------------

The processing of your USMLE Step 1 application is complete. You have been registered for the February 1, 2012 - April 30, 2012 eligibility period in the United States and Canada testing region. ** Please see BELOW for details on the option to submit a request to have the exam results for this Step 1 withheld from your medical school**.

The eligibility period assigned to you for this exam may be different from the one you selected on your application for one of the following reasons:

- If you selected an eligibility period that has already begun and your application was not processed in time to assign the eligibility period you selected, you have been assigned the next eligibility period.

- USMLE policy states that you may not take the same Step more than four times in any 12-month period. If you have already taken this exam and the eligibility period you selected on your application does not comply with these requirements, you have been assigned to the first eligibility period that does meet these requirements.

The National Board of Medical Examiners(r) (NBME(r)) will issue your permit, which contains information on contacting Prometric to schedule a testing appointment. (If your assigned eligibility period begins more than six months from now, your permit will be issued approximately six months before the beginning of your assigned eligibility period.) Only electronic permits will be generated for Step 1/Step 2 CK; applicants will access their electronic permits using ECFMG's Interactive Web Application (IWA). You will not receive a paper permit by postal mail. In about one week you will receive another email from ECFMG to notify you that your permit is available. This message will include instructions for accessing the electronic permit using IWA. Although your permit will be issued by NBME, you should contact ECFMG by email at info@ecfmg.org or by phone or fax if you have questions or concerns about this document. You must print a copy of the electronic permit and bring it to the test center on your exam date. Your permit is a very important document, and you should be careful not to lose it. You cannot schedule your testing appointment or take the exam without it. If you lose your permit, you may print another one by using IWA. Your permit will be available on IWA until the last day of your eligibility period. However, ECFMG recommends that you print your permit as soon as it is available to you and keep it in a safe place. Upon accessing your permit, you should check that your name as it appears on the permit is spelled correctly. If the name on your permit is incorrect, you must contact ECFMG immediately. Name changes or corrections to your name must be received and processed by ECFMG no later than seven business days prior to your scheduled testing appointment.

If you cannot take a Step during your assigned three-month eligibility period, you may request an extension. There is a fee for this service. You may request an extension on-line using ECFMG's Interactive Web Application (IWA) or by submitting to ECFMG a completed Request to Extend a USMLE Step 1 / Step 2 CK Eligibility Period (Form 176). For information, access IWA or Form 176 on the ECFMG website.

-----------------------------------------------------

and then finally yesterday I received my scheduling permit -

---------------------------------------------------
Your STEP 1 SCHEDULING PERMIT IS NOW AVAILABLE on the ECFMG Interactive Web Applications (IWA) website.

YOU MUST PRINT YOUR SCHEDULING PERMIT AND BRING IT WITH YOU TO THE TEST CENTER ON YOUR SCHEDULED DATE. You will not be able to take the test if you do not bring your Scheduling Permit to the test center. Note: You will NOT receive an orange Scheduling Permit for this exam in the mail.

To access your Scheduling Permit, go to IWA at https://iwa2.ecfmg.org, login, and select "Print/Reprint your USMLE Step 1 Scheduling Permit." Your permit will open in a new browser window. Use your browser's "Print" function to print the permit.
---------------------------------------------------

Bottom line you just need to follow the process and ECFMG does its job very efficiently. :)

From what I understand now they will send my Degree certificate with Form 345 directly to medical school back home. (I should receive another mail at that point) and then school needs to submit transcripts directly.

In the meantime I am good to give Step1 and Step2 CK.

Thanks everyone for your help till date.

cheers

I got my CS result last week and i passed the exam with flying colors and would like to share my experience with everyone.

Prep time: 1 month

I dint have much idea about the exam and was really confused, when my senior helped me out with it. This is what I did in 1 month:

Started off by reading First Aid...once i finished reading it, I started viewing this DVD "Jaypee's Video Atlas of USMLE Step 2 CS Cases & Tips".... The good points about this DVD were:
- they had shown the correct method of opening the encounter and had mentioned the importance of correct opening (i realised this during the exam and also once i got my result)
- proper transitions and right method of taking history
- tips on how to counsel patients and establish a good rapport
- tips on how to carry out focused physical examination

I saw this DVD thrice and read FA a couple of times after that.

Practice is the key to pass this exam provided one knows the correct method!!

Practiced cases with my friends and seniors and finally took a mock exam organised by the co-author of the DVD at Delhi. That was the icing on the cake...he gave me so many important tips, which helped me crack the exam.

Along with this I watched a lot of english movies and spoke to a lot of Americans before taking the exam. This helped me in understanding their accent.

This was my exam experience and i feel this is a sure shot way of clearing the exam in the first attempt especially for FMG's.

If anyone has any more queries...i would be more than happy to help you out.

So I came across this question somewhere and had some confusion over it, so I thought I'd post it up here for clarification.

Basically they presented a patient with a bunch of systems and asked what other symptoms you would expect to see in the patient. You could easily tell the patient had a median nerve injury so what else would the person experience:

A - Loss of opposition of thumb
B - distractor
C - distractor 1
D - distractor 2

So the median does supply the opponens pollicis, but opposition of the thumb involves a lot of other hand muscles since it's a joint movement so there would be a weakness, but not a total loss wouldn't it?

Wouldn't a more appropriate answer be loss of abduction of the thumb? Kaplan doesn't cover the muscles of the hand at all, but I thought that the median supplies the Abd Pollicis Brevis which abducts the thumb, so wouldn't your motor loss be thumb abduction?

Pilocarpine is being considered for the treatment of Glaucoma in 58 year old patient. Except for elevated intraocular pressure, the patient's history and physical exam are unremarkable. Pilocarpine is a weak base of Pka 6.9. Which of the following statement is false??

A) after parenteral administration, the concentration of pilocarpine in the aqueous humor(PH-7.8) will be lower than the concentration in the duodenum(PH-5.5)
B) When administered as eye drop, absorption into the eye will be faster if the drops are alkaline (PH-8.0) than if they are acidic(PH-5.5)
C) Excretion in the urine will be faster if urine PH is alkaline (PH-8.0) than if the urine PH is acidic (PH-5.8)
D) The proportion of pilocarpine in the protonated form will be approximately 90% at PH-5.9
E) The proportion of pilocarpine in the more lipid soluble form will be approximately 99% at PH-8.9

I see a lot of posts regarding this so here is some motivation. Someone recently took their exam and shared their experience is here is a quick summary of it.

She didn't care for nbme's until a week before the exam.

8 days before: something around 180
4 days before exam: somewhere around 200
3 days before exam: 196

She went ahead and took the exam anyway and got a score of 231.

Now this doesn't mean, get a 180 on your nbme and go take the exam anyway. It just means that a low score on the NBME's isn't the end of the road. Use them to help you take down your weaknesses, a low score doesn't necessarily mean you don't know your stuff. Keep on pushing and try your best and things can always work out in your favour.

It's easy to skip some small details in low yield topics and sometimes those can burn you on your self assesment's, but there's also a good chance they won't show up on the exam to burn you as well.

This post is going nowhere so I'll end it here, just thought that her experience could help some people regain faith in themselves.

So 10+ hours of videos and 100+ pages for just endocrine physiology?
Is the kaplan section for this overkill or too wordy or something? Seems awfully long especially considering other sections are like 4 hours vid, 40-50 pages max.

After taking 3 days to go through respiratory videos and lectures notes I'm starting to get stressed about how long this is all taking me. I looked into brs and saw the resp section is only 24 pages and can be done twice over in a day easily.

I like the level of understanding I have after reading the kaplan notes, but I hate how reading them takes me 2 days per 50 pg's. I'm starting to worry that endocrine alone will take me a full week.
