United Way holds to $100 million, three-year commitment to the community in challenging economy

BOSTON - The Board of Directors of United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley has approved a funding strategy for the next fiscal year that upholds the organization's three-year plan to invest $100 million in the community. In 2007, UWMBMV launched its new funding strategy, which tied its investments to specific community goals and measurements focused on ensuring children are ready for school, keeping youth engaged in school so they graduate and helping families achieve financial stability. read more »

(Boston, MA and Portsmouth, NH) – In a move aimed at leveraging strengths and resources to create the greatest impact in the community, the volunteer boards of directors of both the United Way of the Greater Seacoast and United Way of Massachusetts Bay and Merrimack Valley unanimously voted to merge their respective organizations at their Board meetings held yesterday. BOSTON – On Friday, June 19th, Lantheus Medical Imaging CEO Donald Kiepert and nearly 150 community leaders will come together for the 15th Annual Invitational Charity Golf Tournament to support Merrimack Valley youth through United Way’s Summer Experiences in Greater Lowell initiative (SEGL).
