On June the 30th the existing rules regarding the european roaming rates will expire, between all the proposal that the european parliament is taking in consideration there is one that will cut rates at 20 cents for a megabyte starting from 2014.

The cut to prices will be also on voice and short messages rates.

Monitor your site uptime with Google Docs

Googling around I have found a quick and dirty way to monitor your site uptime just using a simple Google Docs spreadsheet.

Download the spreadsheet from there
Enter your website url and personal email
Go to Tools –> Script Editor –> Resources –> Current Script’s Triggers and set a Time-Driven trigger for the time you like.
Save it and authorize google docs
Hit the run button in the script editor and you are done.

Every time your site will not be available the script will send you an email, it will also inform you when it will become availbale again with the total downtime.

Symcat is an online service that with a few answers helps you make a self-diagnosis,the service after guiding you step by step in entering your symptoms and your background data (age,sex..etc) will compare it with patient health records and present you with most similar dissease.

This service is not obvously meant to sosbstitute your doctor but it remains an interesting idea
