Val and her husband Kelly offer one, three or five day packages designed to inspire, entertain and captivate students from grades one through twelve. In this interactive program, your students will;

* Watch a live performance
* Make their own puppets based on grade level math carriculum
* Create characters
* Develop scripts based on current curriculum
* Learn to manipulate puppets
* Perform for a live audience

Discover the wonderful art of creating and manipulating puppets from totally recycled material. Learn the basics of writing comedy
Dialog and performing in a fun filled finale for children, teachers and parents.

Val is a graduate of several comedy
and acting workshops, including Cheers
Project, Judy Carter’s stand up comedy
workshop, SCTV comedian/actor Joe
Flaherty’s improvisational workshop and
Therapeutic ventriloquism.
She is a licensed World Laughter
Leader. Val is also the author of Chillin’ with Val, a program for creating a caring and respectful community, currently touring Canadian schools and festivals.
Kelly is a Virtues Project Facilitator, comedian and inspirational speaker from rural Alberta.

This video shows me overcoming fear of stepping onto a glass bottom observatory at the Calgary Tower. A friend filmed this without my knowing.  Thank you Joy.

Courage is personal bravery in the face of fear.

I knew I couldn’t fall but was fearful because of what I was seeing. I did it anyway and overcame the fear I had and that was courageous.

Here is an awesome video demonstrating many virtues and some exercises to do as a classroom or with your family.

An exercise to do with your class is to dig for virtues like digging in a gold mine for all the gems after all our virtues are our true gems.

Here are a few virtues you see;

I see love, caring, determination, enthusiasm, and purposefulness.

Here is a purposeful way to talk about the virtues I see;

I see a fathers love for his son when the father helped his son around the track.

There is always a balance with all of the virtues, do you see some virtues lacking here? Do you see too much of any given virtue?

A magic trick to illustrate breaking free of our words and friends that keep up imprisoned. Sometimes our friends try to keep us imprisoned when we want to make improvements in the way that we are. It can be hard to break free of what our friends expect of us, our true friends will see the positive changes and truly be supportive in us and our positive changes. Make the change and be the best you can be, you will start to see who is your true friend.

It is time to take the high ground and BREAK FREE of the words that we say that keep us imprisoned and the friends that keep us imprisoned.
