I used some of the super-saturated red tones, along with some random lighting effects and dirty grunge. As a personal fan of grindhouse cinema and aesthetic, I plan on exploring this more and creating some more sets along this path. Hope you find them useful!

Previous microscopic experiments with dish soap taught me that the ingredient produces very active and kinetic bubble formations. Adding coffee grounds to the slide created the brownish-orange hue you see in this set. I’ve even added a video to this post to show you a brief example of the bubbles in motion. You will see one big bully of a bubble pushing his way through a group of smaller ones.
Each texture is the standard size of 4500×300, hope you enjoy!

This series will be refreshing and unique for a couple of reasons. Using a 30+ year old camera and lens means some unpredictable results, caused by light leaks and some other factors. Previously, I had always aimed to produce the most crisp and clear textures possible. This series is a departure from that philosophy. These textures are far from pristine, they are somewhat murky but still maintain that foundation of texture that is vital. The random and unexpected colors and forms feed into the undercurrent of my more experimental work that I’ve shared on the site in the past and will continue in the future.

I haven’t attended it in many years, but am fortunate enough to have the base only a few minutes from my house. There was a tremendous display of both past and current United States aircraft, some of which you could walk through and explore. There were modern cargo planes, vintage fighter jets, and even some modern combat helicopters. They are all incredibly impressive and humbling to see in person and up close. This texture set contains images from the interior and exterior of various aircraft, from their shells to their engines. Each image is 4500×3000. Enjoy, and feel free to ask any questions!
