Comic Con 2010: ‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 2 News!

The Vampire Diaries’ San Diego Comic Con 2010 panel was packed full of fans dying for a glimpse of their favorite stars and some season 2 news. Nina Dobrev (Elena), Ian Somerdale (Damon), Paul Wesley (Stefan), Michael Trevino (Tyler), Steven R. McQueen (Jeremy) and Matthew Davis (Alaric) joined the executive producers of the show to present a sneak peek to the second season as well as some spoilers.

Katherine stars in the sneak peek clip. She attacks Bonnie, Stefan and well, everyone else who stands in her way. The clip also revealed Damon confessing to Stefan in his cocky way that he kissed Elena, then later he gets a painful truth after Katherine cruelly tells him that she was never in love with him. Instead, Katherine tells Stefan she came back for him but he says he hates her. Unfortunately, the clip has not been officially released yet, but a fan at the con recorded it, it’s horrible quality, but it’s better than nothing.

As for the Q&A session, well thanks to MTV we’ve got a minute by minute replay, but instead of posting it all, here are the highlights…

4:42 “I take my clothes off all the time,” Ian says to great cheers as Kevin wonders which cast member should follow suit. The mention of Damon and Elena together, as a possibility, gets huge cheers.

4:45 Ian says “the nice Damon freaks me out. I don’t know how to do it well.” He said his favorite scenes are “the fun nutty kind of Damon.”

4:48 Paul hands Nina a Hershey’s kiss. She wouldn’t say whether Paul or Ian is a better kisser. “I’m the lucky one. I get to make out with them both.”

4:56 Matt would like his character to have a “filthy, dirty sex scene” with Jenna.

5:02 A fan asked Nina which Salvatore brother is more attractive. “Stefan is very attractive because he is protective and loves Elana unconditionally. And Damon is very attractive because he’s fun and spontaneous.” Paul declares that Stefan has bigger fangs.

Two New ‘Buffy’ Releases!

That right Buffy fans, we’ve got two new goodies to be excited about! First is the release of Jones Soda line of Buffy themed drinks and the second being the Buffy the Vampire Slayer motion comic. Wooo!

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Soda

Jones Soda recently announced the release of an awesome new line of their tasty soda drinks – Limited Edition Buffy The Vampire Slayer Soda! Here‘s a look at the flavors:

Buffy The Vampire Slayer Motion Comic

As I mentioned above, the Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Season Eight comic picks up where the show left off. Buffy and Xander move to Scotland following the activation of thousands of slayers around the world and the destruction of hell mouth Sunnydale. Buffy leads a new fight against an even bigger evil – the U.S. government. But of course, there’s vampires zombies and other beasties.

The new motion comic is based on the award-winning comic book series, which has been named Comic Book of the Year and Best New Series. The first episode in the series is available on iTunes now, with new episodes added weekly.

If you don’t have iTunes, don’t worry, all 19 episodes are set to hit DVD on January 4th, 2011. Fox will also be releasing reprint of the first book in the comic book series in January.

Mitchell and George are two ordinary guys. They both work as porters in a hospital in Bristol and share a house together. Well, maybe Mitchell and George aren’t exactly ordinary guys considering that Mitchell is a vampire and George is a werewolf. Oh, and the house they rent together? It just happens to be haunted by a ghost named Annie.

After Mitchell almost kills a co-worker named Lauren during a date and the only way to save her is to turn her into a fellow vampire, Mitchell becomes disgusted with himself and decides he needs to make a change. Mitchell had suffered from guilt over killing people to feed for many decades and even managed to ‘go clean’ during the 1960′s but at some point he ‘fell off the wagon’. Deciding to get clean again and stop drinking blood, he convinces his werewolf friend George that the two of them should rent a house together, becoming part of a community in the hopes of fitting in and living like regular humans.

George is reluctant at first, stating that he and Mitchell are monsters and therefore could never fit in with normal humans but he is soon convinced to give it a try and falls in love with a house the pair go to look at. Upon moving in strange things begin to happen in the house, most notably a roasting chicken being nailed to the cupboards and the words ‘GET OUT’ scrawled on the walls. It’s not long before the guys discover who is responsible for the mischief, a ghost named Annie who had died in the house after falling down the stairs a year earlier. The house belonged to Annie and her fiancée Owen and after her death Annie could not bear to share the house with the living so she terrorized whomever moved in until they were forced to leave.

When Annie realizes that both Mitchell and George can see her she is thrilled to bits as she is no longer alone without people to talk to. Mitchell mentions that the reason Annie can be seen by he and George is because all supernatural creatures such as vampires, ghosts and werewolves are able to recognize each other. At first George isn’t happy about sharing the house with a ghost but Annie soon grows on him. Together the three find comfort in each others company.

Things don’t always go smoothly for the trio. When Lauren begins stalking Mitchell he soon realizes that it was a mistake to sire her. Lauren claims to be happy about being a vampire but she is obviously bitter. She blames Mitchell for everything that she had done while a vampire including killing her first boyfriend. At one point Lauren reaches out to Mitchell in the hopes that he would help her to get clean and stop killing. Mitchell, feeling obligated to help her, lets Lauren feed from him for a time in order to slate her thirst so that she no longer need kill. Mitchell then tries to help Lauren to quit completely but the thirst proves too strong. She begs him to get her some donated blood from the hospital in order to feed and Mitchell reluctantly agrees. Unfortunately, the blood is no good to vampires since it is not fresh from the kill. Mitchell tries to tell Lauren this but she refuses to believe him until she tries drinking the blood and finds it useless. Deciding that her will is just not strong enough to quit, Lauren leaves Mitchell and returns to Herrick, the leader of Bristol’s vampires and Mitchell’s sire whom Mitchell has had on ongoing feud with for decades.

The vampires of Bristol are not happy with Mitchell and consider him a betrayer to vampire kind since he refuses to kill and would rather spend his time hanging around a werewolf rather than his own people. Herrick wants nothing more than to bring Mitchell back into the fold and will do whatever it takes but with George and Annie at his side Mitchell has the strength to resist temptation. That is of course until be makes friends with a neighbourhood boy named Bernie and everything goes to hell.

Mitchell first meets Bernie when he steps in while Bernie is being harassed by other neighbourhood boys. The two quickly strike up a friendship which is encouraged by Bernie’s mother. While having the boy over at the house Mitchell mentions his fondness for Laurel and Hardy. Not knowing who Laurel and Hardy are, Mitchell offers to lend Bernie a DVD promising the boy that he will never laugh so hard. What Mitchell fails to realize is that Bernie picks a movie that has the wrong DVD inside. Instead of a Laurel and Hardy movie the case holds a DVD of vampire porn made by Lauren in the hopes of enticing Mitchell back into the fold. Since vampires cannot be seen in reflection or be recorded the DVD only pictures a man gyrating on a bed by himself in a sexual nature. The DVD ends with Lauren killing the man and her bloody footprints walking away from the body.

When Bernie’s mother catches her son watching the DVD she gets the entire neighbourhood whipped up into a frenzy claiming that Mitchell and George are a pair of paedophiles. Not giving Mitchell the chance to explain that giving Bernie the DVD was a horrible accident and not intended, the neighbourhood goes about making life hell for he and George. Meanwhile Annie has problems of her own when she discovers that her death was not an accident but that she was actually murdered by her fiancée Owen when he threw her down the stairs in a fit of rage.

Annie realizes that the reason that she had not ‘crossed over‘ was that she needed to make Owen confess to what he had done. When Owen comes around to the house and informs the guys that he is kicking them out due to the controversy in the neighbourhood Annie is even more determined to make him pay and George agrees to help her. Together the two devise a plan to frighten Owen into confessing.

The resentment from the neighbors proves too much for Mitchell who secretly returns to Herrick and the other vampires. After Bernie is accidentally hit by a car during a riot outside the house, Mitchell confronts Bernie’s mother and offers to save the boy by turning him into a vampire. She agrees and in return informs the rest of the neighbourhood that she was mistaken and that Mitchell was innocent all along. Knowing that their actions caused the death of the little boy they claimed to be protecting the rest of the neighbourhood soon begins to try and make amends. After Bernie is declared dead he and his mother leave Bristol in hopes of starting a new life together.

Herrick has plans to make vampires the master race and with Mitchell back on board the vampires have access to patients within the hospital, offering immortality to the terminally ill in order to increase their numbers. Soon Herrick will have an army and will be able to declare war on the human race and Mitchell will be standing by his side as his second in command. Mitchell, enraged by the needless death of a young child decides that humans aren’t worth the trouble and gradually begins to alienate himself from George and Annie.

George and Annie put their plan to make Owen confess in motion when George calls Owen over to the house to do some repairs. When Owen arrives he is confronted by Annie who commands him to confess. Owen’s reaction is not what Annie expects when instead of being afraid of the ghost of his murdered fiancée Owen begins to belittle her. Annie then redoubles her efforts by haunting Owen’s new girlfriend Janie in hopes of warning her of the dangers of dating Owen. Janie has a much more normal reaction to seeing a ghost when she freaks out and faints. Annie almost manages to reach Janie when Owen returns home and convinces Janie that Annie is simply a figment of her imagination caused by her guilt over the affair she and Owen were having while Annie was still alive.

When George is confronted by an old flame of Mitchell’s named Josie who is dying of lung cancer she tells him what the vampires have been planning. She tells George that she had been approached by Herrick at Mitchell’s request and that Herrick had offered to recruit her, making her a vampire so that she will not die. However Josie does not see death as something to be feared and hopes that George will be able to interfere in order to help Mitchell. When George asks Josie just how bad the vampires plans are she informs him that Herrick had told her that “No one gets left behind.” George and Annie decided to raid the vampires’ lair in hopes of convincing Mitchell to come home with them. What they don’t realize is that Mitchell needs very little convincing after he stumbles upon a room filled with dying humans that the vampires have been holding captive in order to feed on.

Horrified by this revelation, Mitchell decides he no longer wants to be part of Herrick’s scheme and tries to escape the vampires’ lair underneath the funeral home that the vampires use as a front for their ‘recruitment‘ activities. Mitchell finds himself surrounded by angry vampires and it looks as if there is no way out but thankfully George and Annie show up just in time and with the help of Lauren the four of them manage to escape. Lauren only asks for one thing in return for helping Mitchell and his friends escape, she wants Mitchell to stake her and put her out of her misery as she can no longer bear being a monster. Mitchell reluctantly agrees and Lauren slowly turns to ash in his arms.

Back home Annie, Mitchell and George confront Owen together. When Annie informs Owen that there are much worse things than ghosts and implies that George is a werewolf and that Mitchell is a vampire, Owen’s bravado begins to fade. When Annie whispers a secret in his ear, something ‘only the dead know’, Owen goes over the edge completely and runs off. Terrified of what Annie had told him, he runs to the nearest police station and confesses to Annie’s murder in hopes of being safely locked away. Having finally been able to confront Owen, Annie’s door to the afterlife comes for her. As the three say their goodbyes there is a knock on the front door. As he answers the door, Mitchell is staked on the doorstep by Herrick who cannot enter the house without being invited.

George manages to push Herrick from the doorstep and pull Mitchell into the house. Frantically he calls for an ambulance to take Mitchell to the hospital. Annie refuses to enter the door to the afterlife and leave Mitchell behind and instead chooses to go with George and Mitchell. Doctors are able to stabilize Mitchell but are dumbfounded by the fact that they can’t find a heartbeat and that his wounds are healing too quickly. Despite multiple blood transfusions Mitchell is still unable to fully recover since he needs fresh blood to heal. Josie offers to let Mitchell feed from her since she will soon die and hopes that her sacrifice will help Mitchell to stop Herrick.

When Mitchell is released from the hospital he confronts Herrick and challenges him to a fight to the death. Mitchell insists that if Herrick manages to kill him Herrick is to allow George and Annie to leave Bristol safely. Herrick agrees yet has no intention on keeping his word. When George and Annie learn of Mitchell’s bargain they try to stop him. George convinces Mitchell to allow him to try and talk Herrick out of the fight but instead George informs Herrick that Mitchell will be waiting for him in the abandoned basement of the hospital. What Herrick doesn’t know is that George plans to confront him in the basement during the full moon when he transforms into a werewolf.

When Mitchell and Annie realize what George has planned they try to stop him but it’s too late. Mitchell tries to talk George out of killing Herrick but George will not be swayed. As George begins to transform his girlfriend Nina rushes in not knowing what’s going on. Mitchell and Annie are able to pull her out of the room but not before she is scratched by George. Once George’s transformation is complete he tears Herrick to pieces while Nina watches in shock.

The next morning George confides everything to Nina including how he became a werewolf. Nina chooses not tell George about the scratch from the night before in the hopes that she will not turn into a werewolf herself. Relieved that Herrick is dead Mitchell, George and Annie are hopeful that they can finally go about living ‘normal’ lives. What they don’t know is that there are people out there interested in the three of them and that someone has made contact with Owen who believes his claims that Annie, Mitchell and George are a ghost, a vampire and a werewolf.

Forsaken Clans

We have covered a lot of browser games on this site, and while everyone seems to love playing them, I hear a LOT of complaints. The biggest issues being:

1. Too many Twilight fangirls.
2. The moderators don’t care about the players or the game.
3. The forums suck.
4. Childish and rude players.
5. The game gets boring fast.

I could go on and on listing off the reasons people hate certain browser games, but instead I’ll give you a solution – Forsaken Clans. The creator of this new vampire game got sick of all the problems he had with other online games, so, he made his own.

When asked about the gameplay Forsaken Clans creator answered,

“I have this game set up so that the higher you go in level the more stuff unlocks. When people hit level 35 they can get hellhounds that they train just like their players and use them to fight and for defense. The HH is basically just another player in the game. When people hit level 80 there is a game within the game that could be played without even playing the main game. It is a drug running game where they buy drugs in other cities and smuggle them to the lower cities were the other players in the game buy them to use in the game.

Once a player hits level 80 they need to use a different kind of currency to buy what they need in the game and they can only get it running drugs or by farming. There is a farmtown style farm set up in the game as well where players plant crops and wait for them to grow and then sell them at the market. While picking them they might find special items that they get plus one goes to the farmers market and the first person to grab it gets it. The main thing I hear about the game is that it is complicated because there is so much to do in it.”

He took the things he hated in other games and made sure not to repeat the same mistakes in his own. He is also constantly adding new material to the game, that way, you’re never bored and you aren’t stuck seeing the same thing over and over.

Also, like you guys, Forsaken Clans creator has also had issues with the forums on other games.

“The game is really its own social network, my forum just has one rule. You are required to post off subject.

I get tired of all these forums that yell and scream at you because you posted in the wrong place or because you didn’t look before you asked a question. No one every stays on topic in my forum and I don’t care. People are there because they know they can relax, have fun and say whatever they want and no one is going to chew them out for it.”

So if you’re one of the many that are sick and tired of the old browser vampire games, then you may want to check out Forsaken Clans.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Faith

I admit it, I hated Faith, but then I think we were supposed to. She was also a Slayer, even though there was only supposed to be one. But what happened is this, in season one Buffy died for a short moment and was brought back to life. Her short death was just enough to activate a new Slayer, that being Kendra. But then Kendra was killed by Drusilla, which activated yet another new Slayer – Faith. Which meant that there were two Slayers alive, Buffy and Faith.

Faith arrived in Sunnydale in season three after her Watcher was brutally killed by a vampire named Kakistos. She came from a traumatic and abusive background, which made her a bit of a tough bad girl. Faith tried to fit in with Buffy and the other Scoobies, but she never really clicked and instead grew more bitter and angry.

Faith enjoyed slaying far more than Buffy did; saying once that it makes her “hungry and horny.” She also felt that being a Slayer made her better than everybody else, and that it meant rules and law couldn’t touch her. One of the biggest Faith moments was in the episode “Bad Girls.” While trying to show Buffy the fun side of slayer, Faith accidentally kills Deputy Mayor Allan Finch, a human being whom she mistakes for a vampire.

Feeling even more alienated, jealous Faith betrayed the Scooby Gang and joins forced with the evil Mayor of Sunnydale. Under the Mayor’s orders, Faith tries to murder Buffy’s vampire love, Angel and this triggers the Slayers to fight. The fight ends with Faith alive but comatose.

Faith stayed in a coma until season four, and when she woke up the first thing on her mind was revenge against Buffy. Her method of vengeance was to switch bodies with Buffy. Living as Buffy and seeing what it was like to have loving family and friends made Faith realize just how unhappy she was. But, while in Buffy’s body Faith made the mistake of sleeping with Buffy’s boyfriend Riley. Bad move Faith. Buffy and Faith eventually get put back into their own bodies and Faith goes to LA and onto Angel’s spin-off show.

While I usually end the bio when the character moves over to Angel’s show, Faith is a little different since she came back to Buffy. After the body switching, the self-loathing Faith went to Angel and tried to have him kill her. But Angel convinced her to face the consequences and helps her on the path to redemption.

Afterwards, a new Faith travels back to Sunnydale in the last season, where she plays a big role in the battle against the First Evil. She and Buffy do eventually make amends, but their new truce is tested when the Potential Slayers appoint Faith as their leader over Buffy. This decision later proves disastrous when Faith accidentally leads them into a trap, leaving many girls dead. She and the survivors are rescued by Buffy, and the two finally make peace with one another. After a steamy one-night-stand together and saving the world, Faith begins a romantic relationship with principal Robin Wood.

True Blood Season 1 Episode 6

I Got a Right to Sing the Blues

Ain’t that the truth? Pretty much everyone sings the blues in this episode, aside from a few supporting cast members. Sookie gets stuck in Russell Edgington’s castle, along with Bill, and Tara, –and Eric, though he doesn’t reveal just how dire his situation is. Lorena also seems to be having troubles, of the insane, psycho-emotional type. Even Talbot has been getting spurned lately. And back in Bon temps, Jason Stackhouse is learning yet another, hard lesson in love, –but then, so is Lafayette. Not to mention Sam’s problems with his new relatives.

Eric refuses to do anything for Sookie, though she does bring up all his previous comments about how much he cares about her; he does reveal in a roundabout way that he has some kind of master plan, though he doesn’t mention whether or not she’s going to benefit from it. Eric’s got the ball rolling in the art of manipulation, but meanwhile, Russell’s ordered Lorena to kill what she loves most: Bill; while Russell plays with his new toy: Sookie. In a not-so-friendly game of quid pro quo, Edgington learns about Sookie’s talents, and Sookie learns that she’s being investigated and researched by Bill.

In the other end of King Russell’s mansion, lies Tara and Franklin, and they’re not exactly having an ideal honeymoon. Tara, desperate to escape, tricks Franklin Mott into giving her his blood, after he spills the beans on Sookie being in the same house. Tara, in a telepathic one-way conversation, tells Sookie she’s going to get them out. The next morning, Tara flattens Franklin’s head with a spiked mace, and manages to free Sookie. Despite Bill’s betrayal, and Tara’s adamant pleas for Sookie to forget him, Sookie of course, takes off to rescue Bill, who’s been undergoing both physical and emotional torture at the hands of Lorena, who also let some nasty white trash were’s feed on him. Sookie tries to free Bill, when he finally comes around, but ends up pinned and bitten by Lorena.

Meanwhile, back in Louisiana, things aren’t going well for anyone. Sam Merlotte and Tommy Mickens are beginning to bond, but the other Mickens’ don’t approve. After a short conversation (that gave plenty of clues as to what the Mickens’ do for money) with Mama Mickens, Tommy ends up missing work. Sam takes off to find them, after a short inquiry of ‘Sheriff Andy Bellefleur’ about dog-fighting. And Lafayette’s promising new romance? Well, it started out well, there was kissing, and flirting, and even an invitation to Lafayette’s sexy house. Then the rednecks Lafayette and Eric dealt with the night before show up, and though Jesus helps fight them off, he can’t help but overhear the shouting about Lafayette dealing V.

After that Jesus took off, and left Lafayette plenty pissed off. But there is some good news; apparently, Jessica and Arlene might be getting a chance to make up and be friends. If Arlene ever gets off her high horse. The episode ends with Lorena gnawing on Sookie’s neck, and Tara finding Alcide on Edgington’s property, –hopefully, they’re coming up with a plan to save Bill and Sookie. Phew, it was good, tres intense. And the trailer for the next episode is tingle-worthy. In the next episode, Burning House of Love, things definitely heat up. Eric’s plan for revenge looks like it’s coming to fruition, while Bill apparently, almost kills Sookie so he breaks it off with her, plus, we may finally find out what exactly Sookie is. Oh and apparently, Bill is at some point, able to walk in the daylight. Dun dun dunnn.

Lucy Liu was in the movie Rise with Samaire Armstrong.

Pam from True Blood! I love her! She is so very very sexy, but, I am not loving Maxim’s picture of her, they could have done much better.

Ok, Kristen Dunst is hot…now. But when she played a vampire, she was a child. It’s weird having her on this list. Oh well, she is sexy now.

Yet another woman from The Vampire Diaries! I’m not complaining though! Kelly, who played Pearl, is gorgeous. And damn, look at this photo of her! Way sexier than anything on The vampire Diaries.

Guess what show she is from…yea, The Vampire Diaries. This hot woman would be the tortured Vicky.

12. Eliza Dushku

This list wouldn’t be complete without Buffy vixen Eliza Dushku, better known as Faith, the naughty vampire slayer.

What do you guys think of this list? Personally, I think half of these chicks should be taken off and replaced. But, I am guessing this is a list of the vampire women that have actually posed for Maxim, not all of the women in the vamp world.

Tuberculosis Responsible for Vampirism?

Hundreds of years ago, before there were scientific explanations for every day occurrences (like diseases) people would explain them with superstitions and magic. If you sneezed, it was because you were possessed, if you were too hairy it was because you were a werewolf, if your young children were naughty it was because of the fairies …etc. Nowadays, we have completely logical explanations for these things. Keeping this in mind, you can understand why countless historians and doctors have tried to explain the birth of the vampire myth.

It is said that the vampire myth originated because people back then didn’t have the knowledge to explain things like rabies or porphyria. Those two are often attributed to vampirism, but we have yet another disease to add to the mix – tuberculosis.

Tuberculosis, a common and usually deadly infectious disease, is yet another sickness that may have something to do with vampirism. You see, when one family member died from it, the other members of the household that were infected would slowly lose their health as well. People believed that this was caused by the first victim draining the life from their remaining family members.

Additionally, people who had tuberculosis often exhibited symptoms similar to what people considered to be vampire-like traits. Some tuberculosis symptoms included red, swollen eyes (which made them sensitive to bright light), pale skin, very low body heat, a weak heartbeat, and coughing up blood. As you can see, that would give any uneducated person in the Middle Ages reason to believe the victim was really a vampire. If you add in the fact that some may have believed that drinking blood was the only way to replenish the blood they coughed up, well, then you definitely have all the components for a good vampire legend.

Personally, I believe it was tuberculosis and other diseases that were responsible for the vampire myth growing so large back then. But what do you guys think?

Vampire Plagues

I may be 24 years old, but I’m not ashamed to admit that I LOVE children books. Seriously, if you look at my bookshelf you’ll find some super naughty adult vampire books and right next to them are the Spiderwick Chronicles (including the field guide… I’m a dork). So when I hit up the used book store a few days ago, you can guess how geeked out I got over finding a vampire series for kids, a series I have never heard of before – Vampire Plagues by Sebastian Rooke.

There are three books in the Vampire Plagues series, the first being London, 1850, about twelve-year-old Jack Harkett, a street urchin living on the London docks. When a merchant ship sails into port one evening, he sees it as a chance to get some food and money. But something is amiss – first off, a flock of enormous black bats flies from its hull, and second, there’s only one living soul on board, a young stowaway named Benedict Cole. Jack and the wealthy Ben have little in common, but once Jack hears Ben’s story about an ill-fated expedition to Mexico and the vampire plague that’s followed him back, the two boys find themselves on the same side of a deadly battle.

The second book is Paris, 1850 and once again follows Jack. Jack wants to believe it was all a dream, that the vampires are gone. But he isn’t so sure. That one voice still echoes in his mind – the voice of a vampire god promising to return. Jack’s friends Ben and Emily say it’s just his imagination, and while he wants to believe them, he can’t. London may be safe, but a strange sickness is raging in Paris. A familiar illness that leaves its victims drained of blood.

The final book is Mexico, 1850 and Jack and the gang are back again in a battle against the undead. This time the vampire god has managed to secure nearly all the pieces of a powerful amulet that will give him power beyond imagining. There’s only one piece missing, and it’s in Mexico. So Jack, Ben, and Emily must go to the Yucatan peninsula, in hopes of finding the missing piece before the vampire does.

True Blood + The Vampire Diaries

Cross cameo-ing doesn’t always work out well, but in this case, I think a cameo would be effing fabulous! Nina Dobrev, star of CW’s the Vampire Diaries, says she thinks that the Vampire Diaries and True Blood should mesh, –that True Blood’s bad boy Eric Northman, would look hot with the Vampire Diaries bad girl, Katherine Pierce. What do you think of Alexander Skarsgard suddenly showing up in the Vampire Diaries? Or Nina Dobrev popping up as a dancer at Fangtasia? I have to admit, I’d probably pee like a hyperactive, toy poodle from sheer excitement. Or faint. But it’d have to be a surprise, –so maybe this will ruin the surprise! Eek! Oh well, it would still be badass.

MTV reports on an True Blood crazed Nina Dobrev:

“San Diego is about to be taken over by vampires — and this time around, it’s not just one’s who sparkle in the sun. That’s right, at Comic-Con 2010, two of Hollywood Crush’s most favorite groups of TV bloodsuckers — the casts of “Vampire Diaries” and “True Blood” — will be fanging around.

With all of these gorgeous faces and their makers (i.e. Kevin Williamson and Alan Ball) in one giant convention hall, we’re desperately hoping it will help help further an idea formed in the MTV Newsroom from Miss Elena Gilbert herself, Nina Dobrev.

You see, even though she is loyal to the people of Mystic falls, Nina admits to being a giant fan of “True Blood.” When asked who her favorite character was on the HBO series, she didn’t hesitate to respond. “Eric!” she exclaimed in reference to hottie mc hottie Alexander Skarsgard. “Because he’s not on ‘The Vampire Diaries’ — I already get to play with those boys on set and as Elena and Katherine — so it would be fun to be on ‘True Blood’ and to be with the bad boy on ‘True Blood.’”

While calling Eric “tall and scary,” Nina then interrupted herself with this brilliant brainstorm: “You know what? I would like to merge ['Vampire Diaries' and 'True Blood']. I want Katherine and Eric to be together.” In the video above, you can hear us respond, “that would be amazing” (because, really, it WOULD BE) and Nina agreed. “That would be fun!”"

You can see the cast of True Blood and the Vampire Diaries at Comic-Con 2010, –which, btw, is sold out, so if you don’t have tickets, sorry, you’re screwed. Anyway, I can definitely see a cameo at some point, but I really don’t think Eric would be much into Elena, or even Katherine. Elena is too young, and Katherine is too melodramatic and bitchy. High maintenance, and polyamorous lifestyles don’t really mix well together. Maybe they had a casual fling though, that could be okay.
