Congratulations to VAMPS for their first US concert! The New York show was their first stop on their US tour as well as the first show to sell out.

According to other fans there were more than 50 people lined up the day before the show. They camped out on the street the whole night to secure their spot in the front of the line. On a HYDEIST post HYDE said he was happy to see fans already lined up. Good job guys!

For those of you planning on standing in line all day, be sure to bring water so you don’t dehydrate. Buddy up with the people in line next to you and you can take turn holding spots during bathroom breaks. Lets make sure everyone stays happy and healthy while waiting.

And to VAMPS: WELCOME TO AMERICA!

VAMPS have arrived in the US (the other day, actually) and I suppose have been doing a bit of sightseeing before their debut.  Ju-Ken has posted some pictures on his blog for those of you that are interested. You can find translations of his posts here.

If we want VAMPS to come back again in the future then we need to make sure they have an awesome time while they’re here. We also need to make sure all the shows sell out. In order for that to happen we need to get the word out!

Many people still don’t know about VAMPS, which is a shame. However, you can help support the band and get the word out by requesting their music on college radio stations in the cities they’re playing.

VAMPS are to hold an autograph session in Los Angeles and San Francisco. More details to come, but fans who have purchased tickets to the show in San Diego will be able to attend the autograph session, as there will not be an autograph session in San Diego. To attend the meet ‘n greets, you must have purchase tickets to the concert. For instance:

+ Seattle autograph session: ONLY fans who have purchased tickets to the Seattle or Portland shows can attend.

+ San Francisco autograph session: ONLY fans who have purchased tickets to the S.F. show can attend.

+ Los Angeles autograph session: ONLY fans who have purchased tickets to the San Diego or Los Angeles show can attend.

+ Baltimore autograph session: ONLY fans who have purchased tickets to the Baltimore show can attend.

This is great for fans that can’t make it to Otakon. At the moment, I’m not sure if they’ll be doing an autograph session at Sonar and Otakon, but we’ll see. Hopefully someone will clear that up soon.

The first self titled album from the “VAMPS” on sales now on iTunes.

VAMPS is the new musical Creation of “L’Arc~en~Ciel” from man HYDE, and features K.A.Z of Oblivion Dust.

Since 2003, the two have been collaborating on HYDE’s solo project, but last year L’Arc~en~Ciel front man HYDE and guitar virtuoso K.A.Z started a new band called “VAMPS”. They debuted in July 2008 with the hit single “LOVE ADDICT”.

In 2008 VAMPS played 46 live shows in 6 cities on the strength of their debut single alone. After three singles were released, they made an announcement for first album release on June 10th. They are invited to perform for “2009 Summer Rock Summit” on August 11th and 12th in Taiwan.

VAMPS will be in the USA on July 11th to christen the “VAMPS US Tour 2009″. The party kicks off in New York City. VAMPS will be rocking their way westward for three and half weeks and finish at the The Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles. VAMPS appearances include several dates on the WARP TOUR.
