Can you believe October is next month already? Time is pasing by so quickly lately, it’s spooky!

We all know by now that October is national breast cancer awareness month, and SpaRitual has partnered with the Living in Pink organization, which was founded by Michele Conley, a two time breast cancer survivor. This organization helps to fund research and bring awareness about breast cancer in the hopes of one day finding the cure.

SpaRitual is a very responsible company to humans, animals and the earth. They are big-three free, Vegan and use recycled glass for their bottles. I wish ALL cosmetics companies would get a clue and follow suit!

Obviously this collection is of pink colors, but they aren’t boring cremes, they have fabulous finishes! Each bottle comes with a tiny metal pink ribbon charm attached, which is representative of the cause.

Yo!

I have an idea for a series of posts but before I even started them I wanted to get your thoughts about it.

Basically it would be a series of posts about what colors suit your “personality” type best. I don’t mean personality type according to Meyers Briggs or any psychological tests. I just mean if you are more of a “natural” person or maybe into goth or more feminine colors. I would choose 1 color to focus on for each post, and find a shade/finish that “goes with” that personality.

Color Club Untamed Luxury Diamond Collection for Fall 2010 Swatches & Review

Color Club‘s new Luxury Untamed collection is a 14 piece two-parter. Yesterday I showed you my favorite half which is called Indulgence. Today I have Diamond for ya.

These are more glittery finishes, but dare I say, not as interesting as Indulgence in my eyes…

The formula was great for some, didn’t pan out for others.

De-Luxe-Cious

De-Luxe-Cious is a silver/grey with multi-colored shimmer. The idea of this is great but the problem is that the glitter sinks into the polish and kind if disappears into it. It winds up looking chunky and not all that great. This was two coats.

Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Pop Blue Eyes Swatches & Review

Physicians Formula is really stepping it up lately with their cosmetics! I never used to be attracted to anything they offered but recently I came across this beauty in the drugstore and wanted to try it out.

This is from the Shimmer Strips Pop collection, and this is for blue eyes. Of course really anyone can wear it, but these colors happen to really make blue eyes especially POP!

There are nine shadows in this palette and it comes with a little (useless) sponge applicator.

I don’t know why, but I was expecting these colors to fall flat. I expected chalkiness and just general “blah”. I was sooooooo wrong. Compared with most other drugstore shadows I have tried these might be the best.

First of all they are very soft and smooth. No gritty feeling, no chalkiness, no patchiness. Secondly, they are very opaque. Just a couple swipes (and just one for a couple of them) and you have major saturated color. Love!

Color Club Untamed Luxury Indulgence Collection for Fall 2010 Swatches & Review

Color Club has a huge new fall collection out called Untamed Luxury. It includes two sets of 7 polishes each; one called Indulgence and one called Diamond.

Today I have Indulgence for you since it was my favorite of the two.

This collection features some amazing cremes and shimmers and a frost for good measure.

The formula was totally outstanding as per usual with Color Club. Their polishes are always like BUTTAH!

Pretty In Platinum

Pretty In Platinum is a frosty silver/white. Wow this is a seriously hot white, it might be my favorite one now. It went on so opaque I barely even needed a second coat. It is a tiny bit streaky but nothing horrible.

Benefit POREfessional Pro Balm Swatches & Review

Say hello to my (new) little friend! Benefit’s POREfessional Pro Balm is an amazing new product. Basically it is a translucent balm you apply wherever you have obvious pores showing, and it helps to conceal them.

The shizz works people!

Last time I was getting my brows done at the Benefit Brow Bar, the woman doing my brows applied some of this over one half of my face. She handed a mirror to me and said look at this half compared to that half. I was blown away. The difference it made was pretty amazing. The half she applied it on looked so much smoother and really helped hide my (sorta large) pores. The other half of my face now looked horrific. Kidding. Kind of.

Not only did it work like magic on me, it feels really nice. It’s very silky and smooth. You can easily just apply it with your fingers, and it blends in quite nicely. Nice mild scent as well.

Sonia Kashuk for Target Reach For The Stars Nail Collection Holiday 2010

Sonia Kashuk will soon be releasing a new holiday nail collection trio called Reach For The Stars for Target. Yes holiday, already…On that note, I wonder if most people understand that we are still in summer until September 23rd? It seems as though most people think summer ends in August, but it doesn’t! And yes, fall is end of September through end of December, even though a lot of people feel as though November/December are winter. THEN winter starts on December 22nd. Ok now that our 2nd grade lesson is out of the way…:)

Target is in fact the only place you can find this collection, so I am sorry if you fall in love and don’t have access to Target stores!

This is my first time trying out Sonia Kashuk nail colors and I am kind of disappointed. Let me clarify. The colors were beautiful, I loved all three. The brush quality was pretty bad though. All three of these brushes had wonky pieces that stuck out at weird angles. Also they felt really cheap and “plastic-y” when applying the polish. They did cover nicely in two coats.

The pressed eyeshadows come in nine different bright colors. These are extremely vivid, opaque and really amazing.

Another bonus is they are Vegan. yay!

OPI Go Goth Nail Collection for Halloween 2010 Swatches & Review

OPI wants us to Go Goth this Halloween with their mini-set of four dark, vampy nail lacquers.

Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year so I am always happy to check out what cute collections are out.

Mini bottles aren’t my favorite because they are hard to work with. What do I have hamster hands? But I do love all these colors even though they all have dupes or close-to-dupes for them.

The formula was decent, no issues really. They all managed to cover nicely in two coats.
