German and Jennifer, he is from Colombia and she is from Puerto Rico, as I mentioned before love knows no boundaries, and finds comfort in what bring us together our similarities. German and Jennifer got married at the gorgeous church of San German de Auxerre, this historical church was built by Spanish settlers in 1668, trough the years it has survive earthquakes and the test of time. This beautiful church and its walls have been the silent witness of this amazing couple's pledge for love before God and their families and friends. The church is located on San German's main plaza right across another gorgeous location Porta Coeli.

Eduardo and Stephanie, have been together for many years, he is from Argentina and she is from Australia, their love manage to cross borders, language barriers and as a result a lovely union between two families. Their children all together for the first time in many years, were witness to their union coordinated by Sarah Rosario of All Events.

Peter and Jennifer , Caribe Hilton, Old San Juan

Peter and Jennifer's destination wedding took place at the historical Caribe Hilton Hotel, located in Old San Juan , Puerto Rico , and I say historical because this hotel has to be a landmark on the island, it brings back a lot of memories for me of my sister picture dress as a ballerina, at the always beautiful garden area that they have on their premises.

I knew Peter and Jennifer's wedding was going to be memorable since they got married on November 11 of last year, (11/11/11). They were surrounded by their beautiful family , their amazing friends and gorgeous daughters.

A little piece of heaven, Rincon Ocean Villa

About a week ago I had the pleasure to be invited by Sarah from All Events, Events Planning and Catering and Annie from Rincon Vacations to an amazing brunch at Rincon Ocean Villa, I had the chance not only to taste the delicious menu created by Sarah but also to walk around this breathtaking property located in Rincon, Puerto Rico. This gorgeous location was the setting for Shania Twain's wedding on January of this ending year. So if you are looking for a beautiful venue for your 2012 destination wedding or just an nice hide away for your next Caribbean vacation, you might want to take a look at the Rincon Ocean Villa.

Marc, Rachel and Marcus, Old San Juan Puerto Rico

I'll have to say that Marc and Rachel are one of the loveliest couples that I have ever met and I will be forever thankful that they trusted me to do their photography, they had a small wedding, just the three of them, yes they have an amazing and handsome little boy named Marcus, on a day that I was already book but they were kind enough to agree on a next day session with me. How cool is that!!

I am so glad they did! We met at Old San Juan ( one of my favorite location to shoot ) late in the afternoon for a sunset shoot. We walk a lot but that was fine because it allow me to meet them a bit more and truly enjoy them.

Juan and Rocio, a RioMar Beach Resort engagement session

Juan and Rocio engagement session took place at the beautiful Wyndham Rio Mar Beach Resort, in Rio Grande Puerto Rico, and I mean beautiful, this hotel is absolutely amazing from a photographic point of view. It now belongs on my top ten local venues. I am so happy that Juan and Rocio decided to have the session there and I don't blame them.

The day turn out to be great, I was so inspired by Juan and Rocio's love for each other, it was really a joy to photograph them. Here are a few of my favorite images from that day.

Before living in Mexico I used to live in Puerto Rico's , San Juan metro area, I never did venture out that much and it seems I miss out on a lot of beautiful places this Caribbean island has to offer. Now that I am back , I have been able to visit new places due to recent photo sessions, these were the three locations we visit during Jose and Maritza's anniversary session. I think they are amazing.

Jose Luis and Martiza, return to the Puerto Rico to celebrate their 25th anniversary. They are both from the island but reside on NJ, one can say after hearing their story that Jose Luis was Martiza's 15th birthday gift.
Maritza was already living in the states when her mother gave her a trip to Puerto Rico as her Quinceañera gift On that trip they meet and they have never been apart from each other ever since. Their love still going strong! Here's to 50 more...!

We went to three amazing locations in the west side of the island, we began our session at Jobos Beach , Isabela and then move on to Aguadilla's Crash Boat and Punta Borinquen, beach.

As I was cleaning up my mom’s laptop ( yes you read right) I found some old images of me and baby G, they are not that old, but seems that way. They are from when G was six and nine months old. They were taken with the computers camera, he love it you could see it in his face. Its incredible how much he has change , he is now two years old, he has more hair now and can’t stay in one place for five seconds.

We will soon embark on the adventures of potty train, so any advise is welcome.

Guillermo and Veronica, Courtyard Marriot

Friends, family , fun and a grand entrance by the wedding party where part of this wonderful wedding, even we got to see a marriage proposal . Guillermo and Veronica's wedding took place at the beautiful Courtyard Marriot hotel located in Isla Verde, Puerto Rico.

The day was full of emotions and expectation not even a bit of rain could detain the sun from blessing us with its beautiful lighting on the ceremony and yes like I said before there was a marriage proposal at the reception, Veronica's sister got engage!!!

I did arrive a bit early, as always ( I tend to do that ) but got the chance to see the beautiful decorations at the reception site done by Zoraida Roman, when I got to the room, the bridesmaids where getting their hair and make up while Veronica waited patiently and very relax on the bed. Make up and hair was done by the guys at Contempo Hair Salon, it was fun to observe this guys working their magic and make up tricks! Videographer Elliot Charles. Special thanks to my assistant and second shooter Sofia Rosado.

Robert and Angela got married a few weeks ago at the beautiful Ocean Turquesa located in the Riviera Maya, their destination wedding was bless with rain, and love from their friends and family members. The night was fill with love, fun and dance like any wedding should be regardless of the weather conditions. It is after all hurricane season.

Carlos and Priscilla, Rincon Beach Resort

"If you love something, set it free, if it comes back it's yours, if it does not it never was".

This would describe Carlos and Priscilla's love story, they met many years ago and were on a relationship but sadly the time was not right and they decide to end the relationship, by chance they found each other again after years of been separated. One can say that their love is special as it overcame the test of time.
Carlos and Priscilla's wedding day was really special, a beautiful resort on the beaches of the small town of Rincon, Puerto Rico. It rain , no let me correct that it downpour on us just an hour before the ceremony, but a few seconds before the ceremony was schedule to begin it stop, the sun came up as if instructed by bride. Bright as ever the sun gave us beautiful lighting and to top things a nice rainbow stood on the background.
Carlos and Priscilla's wedding was beautiful and intimate, it took place at one of the most beautiful places in Rincon, The Rincon Beach Resort, the day was coordinated by Stephanie Ramirez.

Stop and Remember

As September begins I can only think that its a month to remember. to remember those who died trying to safe lives, those innocent victims who lost their lives to a horrible act that change the world forever, those who lost someone dear to their heart and will forever have to live with the pain of that day. The day our way of thinking change, our way of traveling and the way we see people from other countries. A day a war began and thousands of lost lives were added to the cause.

I will forever remember that day, what I was doing the moment first plane hit the North tower , I remember thinking "how stupid can a pilot be to hit the tower, is he blind?, not knowing it was the beginning of a chain of events. We were all glued to the television and to this day, ten years later I still find myself watching programs such as "102 minutes that change the world" . It is simply beyond believe.

So I say a little prayer for those who remain, to be strong and overcome, I say thank you for those who risk their lives to safe others. A prayer for those who lost their lives and finally thank you to those who willingly continue to risk their own lives and comfort to make our world a safer and better one.

There is nothing more extraordinaire than seen two or more cultures blending together, makes you believe that LOVE can bring people together even if language seems to be a barrier, but not for long. Love and salsa music can bring people together and dance the night away. Kathia from Brazil and Sebastian from Puerto Rico met while in New York and their love story began. Their wedding day was really exiting and with a little rain. Their catholic ceremony took place at San Ignacio Church follow by an amazing reception at the Mirador Salon from La concha resort. , the reception site was fill with lots of details and it was beautifully decorated, thanks to the expertise of the onsite Catering Manager, Irene Alvarez. As husband & wife, Sebastian and Kathia choose to do their first dance to the music of Roy Orbison's "you got it" and it was only fair to use the same song on their slideshow.

They have been together for more than 7 years, high school sweethearts who met at mutual friend's birthday party. These romantics at heart will write the next chapter of their life together on July 14, 2012. We were lucky to be given the opportunity to witness their love and sexiness. I know this girl since she was a little toddler, she was so cute as a baby with lovely curly hair that I simply loved now many years later she has grown into a lovely little lady or should I say women. She is beginning a new chapter in her life, one very exiting, she is beginning college and what is more exiting is that she is going for a photography major , I have seen her work so far and she is very talented, creative and has an amazing eye. I wish her all the luck in the world and lots of fun in her new college life. While we were doing a wedding in Isla Verde we took a little time after the event and took some pictures on the beach with her handsome boyfriend. Here is some of the images…

I know its been a while since my last post. I have mistreated my blog by not coming and write as often as I should. But I took a few weeks to enjoy my son, to be with him for a while without grandma or grandpa around. He also spent that time with his sweet aunt or should I say "Tati" as he calls her. Baby G had a lot of fun and I think the most he enjoy was my sister's dogs Vegas and Charlotte. I have to say that Vegas has a lot of patience, having to deal with a one year old and a feisty yorkshire. Here are some of my favorite images or those day at home.

I had the pleasure of knowing Johnny and Farina, they came about a week ago to the Island and want it to have a portrait session after viewing Alex and Annamarie's engagement session. Farina works at this wonderful place known as Kay Jewelers , where Mr. Morris, Annamarie's father shop. This is how she knows them, she knows Annamarie since she was a little girl!

Farina loves old buildings so there was no question in my mind as to where to have the session. It was really hot that day but it was an amazing place, I ve always love to shoot at Old San Juan and to have an amazing loving couple like Johnny and Farina it was really special. They have been together for eight years but they are so much in love! and it shows.

Jovon and Lastrada's wedding took place at the Embassy Suites in Dorado, and I was lucky to be selected to cover their amazing day full of love and emotion. I was lucky as Lastrada's contacted me only a few weeks before the ceremony since their original photographer had cancelled on them and the date was open. I was so exited to be there, they are truly an amazing couple surrounded with a great group of friends. I won't lie and say I did not get a bit emotional as Jovon cried when he saw Lastrada for the first time in the ceremony, what can I say I am a fool for love!... Here is a slideshow of their images.
