Patch 9.0 is coming! We need some testers for our test server

Hey Racers!

Patch 9 is coming! it's a major patch for Victory and will start the Beta 2 Phase of the development.

We're now testing the first builds internally and we want to start to test it with some of you guys: we're searching for some volunteers that help us by downloading the new installer and logging in a test server for a couple of weeks, so we can test the latest build on different configurations without releasing it directly to everyone.

If you're interested in helping us just send a private message to Alexa: we'll select a bunch of candidates, contact you back, enable your accounts to log into the test servers and to see our test forums so we can interact in the next days.

Patch 9 will be released in a couple of weeks, it will introduce a new Performance Points system, a completely new "Reasearch and Development" area, dozens of new items for your cars, an updated item market and multiplayer lobby interface, the introduction of Premium Accounts and it's the basement for a brand new and incredible event system we're working on, expected for the Beta 3 phase of the development.

We'll post more details about it as soon as possible, stay with us!

Patch 8.6: Brand new Netcode, Web Dashboard and Registry Home!

Victory Beta Patch 8.6 out now

The new Patch 8.6 (0.09.577) is now available for everyone: launch Victory to update it!

Brand New Netcode!

This patch delivers what we're working on since the beginning of Beta 1: a new and improved Netcode that will give you a way better multiplayer online racing experience.

Finally, car jitter is gone for normal fps and latency players and the new collision system now handles better car wrecks and contacts: launch Victory now and test it by yourself online!

The New Website Dashboard

Now, when you login at victorythegame.com you will be redirected at the brand new Dashboard: here you will be able to check out in real time your performance analysis, winnings and Rx rankings, your stats, latest news and more!

The New Registry Home

The Racing Authority Registry now has a brand new home that shows you in real time the top drivers and Rx rankings other than the top voted cars in the game, enjoy!

Working on Iron Mine

Iron Mine (codename not final) will be our forth racing zone, hosting 5 completely new tracks, hosted in an abandoned iron mine, converted into a huge racing complex.

I can't show you guys anything final as our Design Director and 3D artists are working on it right now, but let me share some pictures I've taken from their monitors, just to create some anticipation :)

Patch 8.5: New Social Bar, Top Bar and New HUD!

The new Patch 8.5 is now available for everyone: launch Victory to update it!

The New Social Bar

We're working on an improved GUI since the closed beta and the "Social Bar" is the result of our efforts to bring to the game a more streamlined and easy to use social experience.

What we call the "Social Bar" is a new bottom bar always present in the game that contains all the useful informations and tools you can use to interact with other players online:

Race Chat

Active only during a race, the Race Chat allows you to chat with other race drivers, you can open/close it by pressing the "C" key and chat by pressing the "Enter" key or clicking into the chat input. All the new chats are now more clear and you can click on a player name to lauch a new whisper chat with him.

Race Log

The brand new Race Log hosts all the race messages and events, so you can always check what happened during the last race, very useful in certain situations!

Last Played With...

Wandering what's the name of that racer just destroyed you during the last race? wonder no more! open the new "Last Played With..." panel and check the last 25 players you played with, you can whisper them, add them as friend or invite them to your new race!

Public Chat

You can chat with all the online players in the public chat, to request help or just set up a new race server or event!

Invites

Race invites and Friend Requests are now always a click away thanks to the new Invites Panel.

Whispers

New whisper chats will open up in the social bar, so its now easier to reply and chat with your friends privately.

Friends List

The new Friends List is way easier to use: you can seach your friends, order them by name, level or status and even filter them by level stacks. Check who of your friend is online and invite him to your race! Even when it's close the Friend Lists shows you how many of your friends is online and how many friends you have.

Drivers List

With the new Drivers List you can search for every racer in the game, request friendship, order, filter, invite them to your race and more!

Status Panel

Don't want to be bothered by other players? set yourself as invisible with the Status panel.

The New Top Bar

Together with the new Social Bar we're releasing today the new "Top Bar", also always present in the game, shows you all the basic information about your driver: your country, level and nickname on the left and your Race Experience (Rx), Gears Credits (GC) and Victis (V$) on the right. Also, a new cyan bar shows you your experience progression visually, so you can always know what's your advancement in the current level.

The New Racing HUD

The game HUD (Head-up display) has been completely redesigned to better visualize all the race and car information: now more streamlined and with a new minimal look that leaves more space to the action. Together with the new Social Bar and Top Bar, we think that the new Racing HUD offers a better game experience: we're using this new interface internally since weeks and we really can't wait to ear what you think of it, so head to the beta forum or reply here with your thoughts! P.S. yeah, we're testing 8 players cap internally, but it's still too soon, so don't ask ;)

All the cars and drivers created in Victory are now online on the official website, inside the Racing Authority Registry.

Check all the drivers and their stats in the Driver Registry! vote the best looking cars in the Car Registry, find the fastest drivers and check their best car's attributes!

Now the Official Rankings and The Registry are completely integrated: click on a driver name on a ranking to see his driver sheet, then check his cars and records in the registry.

Remember to vote the best looking cars in the Car Registry: we're now creating a showcase of awesome looking cars! The car customization in Victory is being used heavily and we want to show you how incredible looking some cars are!

Check out the new Driver page on the official website: now you can see every driver's car list and records.

The Car Sheet now shows you the statistics and attributes of each car in the game, also, it's now possible to vote the best looking cars and share them on social networks.

To allow you to do so, we've just launched the Semi-Pro Days, during this promotion you will be able to create a Semi-Pro car from the main screen, since level 1 instead of the usual level 21 needed!

The car blocks will be free, create your Semi-Pro car now and use it online as usual, we want to see you on the tracks with Semi-Pro cars during this week!

The Semi-Pro cars created with this promotion will rest in your garage after the end of the promotion: you will be able to use them once you reach level 21 as usual.

Patch your client and enjoy your free Semi-Pro car, see you on the tracks!

You will find all the rankings you need: the Road Race Rankings with Race Laps, Hot Laps, World Records and Hot Lap World Records and all the Driver Rankings with rankings by Winnings, Driven Km and Driven Laps!

The rankings are in real time! Still testing them, so if you notice something wrong, feel free to report it into the Beta Testing Forum.

Working on the web: Rankings, daily events, the database, the dashboard

Hey Racers!

The Code Team is working hard to stabilize the client and fix all the bugs and crash reports you're sending us, this is the main focus now and we're releasing frequent patches to keep you always updated with the latest client's build.

Meanwhile ther Web Team is working on the website, what you see now online is just the tip of the iceberg of what we want to offer you.

Here's what we're working on now:

Online Rankings

Rankings are coming and they are better than ever: better organized, improved, there's new rankings and also we're introducing time frames filters (today, las week, last month, all time).

Expect Rankings to come online by the end of this week.

The Database

We already have a driver sheet for each racer in the game, for example here's mine. We're creating a "database" section where to show the complete drivers list, linked to the single drivers sheets, organized by level, country, etc.

Also, we're including a Car List, that will list all the cars created in the game, linked to brand new online Car Sheets where you will check out the car design, attributes and statistics. It will be possible to comment and vote a car, so start to create some really amazing cars and be ready to be featured on the homepage :D

We'll also add to each driver sheet his records, his cars, etc.

Daily Events

The web will host automatic daily events with various prizes, be ready!

The Dashboard

We're creating a super cool new dashboard homepage for the logged in users: you will be able to check all your statistics, latest news and events, major RA news from the racing tracks and more!

We'll realease all this new features on the web during the coming weeks: we want this website to become an important compendium to the game.
