Life sometimes gets busy and there is no time for certain things.

I have a lot of things on my mind now that I have to leave some behind, for a while.

I have no time for two blogs and honestly, my personal one is more important for me.

Will I be back here? I might.

When? I have no idea.

I won’t close VARSHAVIANKA for good anytime soon and I hope I will be back here someday.

I searched through internet and I found one name. Teresa Folga. Her biggest success in international tournaments was 7th place in Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988. But that’s not what she was mostly known for. She became Miss Olympics in games mentioned in previous sentence.

She has always been loved, adored indeed. But only among gymnastics fans. Until mentioned Olympics. Short, petite, with dark hair and dark eyes, she stole hearts of the audience. At the request of the management of the polish team she joined Miss Olympics competition. She has done it with such grace that the audience started screaming her name. Jury had the winner that moment.

She always invented all of the elements in her routine. Some of them, mostly more acrobatic, are called Folga. By this she permanently engraved in the history of the artistic gymnastics.

Below are videos from two of her final performances. Those were last ones in her professional career. After Olympics she finished her career at tournament in her hometown, Krakow. In the same place where she has started her trainings 13 years earlier.

Oscypek is made using salted sheep’s milk, with the addition of cow’s milk strictly regulated by the protected recipe. Unpasteurized salted sheep’s milk is first turned intocottage cheese, which is then repeatedly rinsed with boiling water and squeezed. After this, the mass is pressed into wooden, spindle-shaped forms in decorative shapes. The forms are then placed in a brine-filled barrel for a night or two, after which they are placed close to the roof in a special wooden hut and cured in hot smoke for up to 14 days.

The first mention of cheese production in the Tatra Mountains dates back to the 15th century, in a document from the village of Ochotnica in 1416. The first recorded recipe for oscypek was issued in 1748 in the Żywiec area.

Poznań is now Poland’s fifth largest city. It is the historical capital of the Wielkopolska(“Greater Poland”) region, and is currently the administrative capital of the province called Greater Poland Voivodeship.

Poznań is today one of the largest Polish centers of trade, industry, sports, education, tourism and culture. Also, a great number of various international festivals takes place in the city – Transatlantyk – Poznań International Film and Music Festival, “Malta International Theater Festival” and “Maski Festival” to name just a few.

In 2012 the Poznan’s Art and Business Center “Old Brewery” (“Stary Browar”) won a competition organized by National Geographic Traveler and was given the first prize as one of the seven “New Polish Wonders”. Poznań has been placed at high positions (very often the first one in Poland) in many ratings as a city with a very high quality of life.^[1][2] The city has also won many times a price awarded by “Superbrands” for a very high quality brand of city of Poznań (city as a brand).

Poznań, along with two other Polish cities, were classified in 2010 as high sufficiency cities by Globalization and World Cities Research Network and thus have a chance to become global cities in a near future given their fast development pace.

The main idea and mission of the Festival is to make Warsaw citizens and visitors open to the cultural variety of modern world. The Festival wants to be like Warsaw itself and like today’s world – more and more open and sensitive to cultural and artistic variety, interested in the others and interesting for the others. It wants to be an event that is continuously developing and searching.

Journey into the most interesting musical regions will be accompanied by music workshops with world-class masters, documentary screenings, exhibition and a special programmes for children.

When she was one year old, her parents separated, and she remained with her mother. In 1978, they moved to Bredäng in Stockholm, Sweden, where Scorupco learned to speak Swedish, English, French and Arabic.

In the late 1980s, Scorupco travelled Europe working as a model, and appeared on the cover of Vogue. In the early 1990s, she had a brief but successful career as a pop singer, releasing the album ‘IZA’, which went gold in Sweden in 1991. She has also modelled for Tiffany & Co., H&M, Oriflame, dr Irena Eris and Wera.
