Guest post by Sarah Harris, Marketing Manager of Adiamor

The lights, the shows, the hotels, the spas, the crazy weekends. Las Vegas is famous for many things. One thing it’s famous for, but is often overlooked due to its other big draws, is the shopping. It might not be the first thing on your mind when you plan a trip to Vegas, but don’t let the opportunity pass you by. They have everything from high end designer stores in the Forum shops, to the Premium Outlets where you can buy brand names for less.

The grand hotels and casinos in Las Vegas are famous all over the world. Many of them house fantastic shopping centers with numerous designer boutiques. The most famous are the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace. You don’t need a million dollars to enjoy these fabulous shops. Just walking through the venue is a delight. The shopping arcade is designed to reflect the opulence of a Roman street, complete with marble statues, gigantic atrium, and the domed painted ceilings that make you feel as if you’re still outside. The shopping includes some of the most well known brands from around the world, including Versace, Louis Vuitton, Diesel, and Dolce and Gabbana. The boutiques at The Wynn Hotel are just as spectacular, housing Manolo Blahnik, Oscar De La Renta, and Ferrari just to name a few.

If you want to get away from the strip, Vegas is home to one of the biggest collection of outlet stores in the country. The open air Las Vegas Premium Outlets has over 150 stores, with a great variety of shopping treats. If you’re a fan of trendy name brands for ultra low prices, this is the place to go. They include high end fashion names such as Michael Kors and Armani Exchange, as well as Adidas, Cole Haan, and Kate Spade. They offer outlet versions of just about any store you can think of.

Next time you come to Vegas, enjoy the food, the hotels, the gambling, the shows, but make sure to enjoy all the incredible shopping the city has to offer. It doesn’t matter if you’re a big spender or a casual shopper, everyone’s a winner when it comes to Vegas shopping.

Sarah Harris is the Marketing Manager for Adiamor, a diamond jewelry website. Adiamor offers a large selection of engagement rings, loose diamonds, and other fine diamond jewelry at affordable prices.

The much hyped and extremely expensive CityCenter Las Vegas is finally open to the public!

At the center lies the Aria Resort, a stunning piece of architecture and design brilliance that stands out even in a city where everything is larger than life and, in the last decade, no expense is spared in the name of elegance. This might be the last hotel built like this in Las Vegas for awhile (awhile could be 2 years in Las Vegas time).

There’s still a bit of construction happening on the CityCenter property, like roads, walkways, and finishing touches. The pool isn’t open yet, but it looks like there’s a wave pool coming (see photo)!

There’s a distinctive “waterfall” theme. There’s a huge waterfall lining the taxi drop off area outside, and one in the middle of the turnabout which has some interesting colours and effects. Then there’s more than a few waterfalls inside the property, too. You definitely don’t feel like you’re in the desert here.

Hop on a free tram from Aria, and you’re off to the opulent Bellagio resort.

Oh, and if you’re an Elvis Presley fan, you’re going to love the new Cirque de Soleil show – and the store!

Luxor Las Vegas is an interesting place. The centerpiece is a massive black pyramid, solid glass, that has a massive light coming up from the center (apparently this light can be seen from space).

There is also a giant sphynx which welcomes you to the resort when you get off the free monorail. This also features prominently from the strip.
The original article, Luxor Las Vegas, can be found at our website, Quintessential Las Vegas.

Luxor is a fantastic resort – it is near many others, and though it is wonderfully kitchy, it is still classy as well.

I don't live in Las Vegas, but it may as well be my second home. I go to conferences there with great regularity. My last anniversary was there. I spend an awful lot of time there.

As such, it seemed to me I was being rude by not sharing my experience with the world.

So, welcome to VegasBlog.ca - my blog all about Las Vegas, the City of of Entertainment!
The original article, The Las Vegas Connection, can be found at our website, Quintessential Las Vegas.
