However, if you are looking to go for a long hike, you may want to have a more private experience with a great view of nature. If so, then you should head out to one of these 2 great hiking trails in Durham:

2.2-mile trail through the New Hope Creek flood plain with hiking and walking. Begins near Githens Middle School in Southwest Durham.

Durham Craft Market is the best place to find arts and crafts!

Are you a fan of arts and crafts? I know that I am! I love going around town and seeing if I can find amazing pieces of art and fine crafts. My favorite place for arts and crafts is the Durham Craft Market! Their selection is huge and you won’t find a better arts and crafts market or shop anywhere in Durham! The Durham Craft Market runs the first Saturday of April through the last Saturday before Thanksgiving on Saturday mornings, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. It features the abundant talent of local artists. The living room in your apartment is one of the most important rooms in your home. It is where you spend most of your time and where you entertain guests. Focusing around a bookcase doesn’t have to be a staunchly traditional look either; you can find all kinds of bookcases in many places in shapes you would never have figured could actually hold books.
4. Couch The original. You can get a nice, fancy looking couch but it tends to defeat the purpose when you can’t sit on it. The couch is the most common item used to decorate a living room and to base the decorating theme around. It’s a good choice if you don’t want a bunch of smaller items cluttering the room.
5. Chair The second most common item used to decorate a living room. There are just as many kinds of chairs as there are couches, lamps, and rugs. Find a luxury recliner or an edgy modern make that you can create a room around.
6. Color Pick your favorite color, paint the walls, find a couch, a rug, curtains, anything you want and work your living room around that. Just make sure you’re no using too much of one color and that your colors match.

One of the best things about living in Durham apartments is being near one of the premiere minor league sports franchises. If you are looking for family entertainment, the Durham Bulls minor league baseball team offers great specialty nights throughout the season.

“Camp Out Nights” are some of the most popular of the season. The nights celebrate Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts along with other organizations four times during 2012 and feature a pre-game parade where participants can bring their own designed banners and signs. Two meals and a continental breakfast are included along with a fireworks show and a beautiful night of sleeping under the stars.

Other options include something for college students. “College Nights” are held on Thursday home games and provide an inexpensive night of entertainment. For as little as $4.99, fans can enjoy an outfield ticket with $1 hot dogs, popcorn, and fries. And for those who are young at heart, you can meet your favorite cartoon characters monthly on select weekends including Scooby Doo on May 4-6 and George Jetson on July 20-22. Whatever your age, the Durham Bulls provide great options for fun around your Durham apartment.
