In a bull fight there will usually be three toreros and six bulls. Each torero (spanish most of the time) will have two bulls who they will need to bull fight. They will each fight one bull in the first round and then follow the second round with another bull each.

A bull fight begins when the “paseíllo” opens up and everyone who is going to be a part of the bullfight parades in the pen. The alguaclillos are on their horses and they look for a special key that will open the bulls door. After them the three toreros enter along with their members of the cuadrilla who are the “bandilleros” and “picadores.” At the very end the “mozos” and “mulas de arrastre” go in. The people that parade at the end are the ones that clean up and pick up the bull with the help of some horses.

When the door opens and the bulls enter the plaza the crowd goes wild with anticipation. There is when the tradition of bull fighting officially begins. There are three parts to a bull fight.

In the first part the “picadores” hear a noise and that is their cue to go into the plaza. Second there should be three pairs of “banderillas” on the bull that will make him bleed. Last of all the toreros will try to kill the bull with a sword that will pierce the bull´s heart. This is why they say bull fighting is an art, because the torero must know when  and where exactly he must pierce the animal´s heart.

If this is something that might no be very appealing to you it is very understandable. Many people do not want to see when an animal gets killed. But, if you are willing to go to a bull fight you will be a witness to one of Spain´s  most traditonal acitivities.

First of all you must know that the food there is in Spain is called “tapas.” This is typical food that you must try no matter what. “Tapas” are small plates that have the “torta española” or other spanish delicacies. In certain bars that are located in Granada (you can stay in the Almuñecar hotels) you will find that they give “tapas” free when you buy alcoholic drinks. That is a cheap dinner for one night. Second of alla is going to a “corrida de toros” (bullfighting). You must not miss a bull fight. These are essential, basic and traditional for every spanish citizen especially because it is part of their history. Next is looking at Antonio Gaudí´s architecture. He has great works but his most important one is the “Iglesia de la Sagrada Familia” in Barcelona. A remarkable work of art that you must not miss.

You can also not go to the Alhambra in Granada. Due to the greatness of this place it might take around 4 hours to see all of it. Be sure to take time, water and food so you can enjoy it much more. “Flamenco” dances are also something you would love to see. A dinner and a flamenco show is something that would be perfect for a romantic dinner. Now, another thing is going to the three most important museums in Madrid. They are “Centro de Arte Reina Sofía,” Museo del Prado,” and “Museo Thyseen Bornhemisza.” 

Segovia, Sevilla and Toledo are two cities that are extremely important to visit. Segovia has the beautiful palaces of Alcazar. Valencia is another city that has a special thing to eat. A paella is the thing to order in Valencia and totally worthwhile. Last of all a visit to Asturias and Galicia is important especially with all those beautiful and comfortable hotels there are.

Today we will talk about the second most important wine festival there exists in all of Spain. The wine party of Albariño. It is celebrated every August since 1953. It is considered to be one a very interesting things for tourists and thousands of people come to this big event.

The typical wine from Galicia is known as “Albariño”, because it is sweet due to it´s albariño grape. They are dry, refreshing and full of body wines. This unique flavor is due to it´s acidity and sweetnes that comes in the grape.

This beautiful place in the old Aljama part of the city of Toledo also has the La Mancha Castle. The synagogue has one of the most unusual characteristics. This little piece of fact comes from the XII century and has been reconstructed in the XIII century. In the year 1405 the synagogue was converted into a catholic church from the Calatrava Order. 

Another curious fact is that this specific temple is also know to be one of the best examples in Almohade art. There really is no need to state this but in reality all of Toledo is very culturally oriented and it is very easy to see this by walking through the streets and going into museums, little markets and monuments. There is a strong art influence from the XVI century.

Today anyone is able to visit the synagogue. It has now become a museum that everyone is able to visit especially with a free admission. It is something that is worth looking into especially if you feel the need to go and visit a very nice and typical city in Spain. Toledo is the one to go to.

Experts think that around 180,000 years ago there was a big mass of volcanic material (some think of more than 4,000 metres) that was released from the “Valle de la Orotava” which formed “Las Cañadas,” which produced an extensive eruption that ended with making the volcano higher. With so many things that happened people that lie there known as the guanches (living in Tenerife) think that the volcano known as Teide is the house of the Guayota, a demon in their religion. Many decided to leave because they were scared that the places might have been haunted. This is nevertheless very much seen in this area with so many things that have been created and destroyed within one single force.

If you go there be sure to see the various different colors there are in this beautiful place. There are plaques that explain what happened, helping visitors identify certain things that are of importance making it easier for tourists to understand what went on in this national park.

Although it might be in a high place there is a lot of animals and vegetation living there. There are more invertebrates than vertebrates in this area. 

The creators of the Teruel platform have all the reason in the world to have done what they did. Teruel is a city with charm and so many things to see. With time it has diminished, slowly dying and being left to be forgotten by the rest of the country.

This last couple of years Teruel has been transformed. It has beautiful artwork that is there for everyone to see, the Cathedral is extremely precious to stroll in and it is one of the most beautiful there is. The towers of San Martín and San Salvador are almost identical and have a big sense of history in them.

Teruel is a city with leyends and love stories such as the one from Isabel and Diego. They are the most well-known lovers from Teruel. In Teruel you will find yourself enveloped in their love story, such that might make you fall in love.

Even though Teruel is a remarkable city, there are also nice towns and villages that you can visit that are very near there. For example, Albarracín, Calamocha and Mora de Rubielos. These are places filled with history and good food to try. Teruel´s ham is one of the best in the country and one that should be tasted.

The Bilbao Guggenheim Museum has expositions that change constantly. There are many masterpieces that are given more attention because of their importance. Even though this is a museum that was built to promote modern art, during these last few years there have been some other works of art that are not a part of the modern art branch. Therefore there are Michelangelo works of art such as The Ermitage and also some works of art from Durero. There are some permanent collection that are a part of the Salomón R. Guggenheim foundation and some from the New York and Venice Guggenheim collections, as well.
