i’m flat-footed and a mild/moderate pronator, so i need a shoe that offers cushioning and stability. though nike has a myriad of stability shoes, it can be hard to find that perfect fit. with switcheasy‘s runaway, that problem is solved. the runaway is a weatherproof capsule designed to hold the nike+ sensor that can be used on your favorite running shoe. its three-position lock system allows you to install the capsule without unlacing. when you’re done with your workout, you can also store the dongle that attaches to your nano neatly inside the runaway as well, keeping your nike+ sport kit together. the runaway is $9.

incase has an eco version of their traditional slider case available made out of 40% bamboo pulp (60% polycarbonate). the bamboo pulp used to manufacture these cases come from reclaimed bamboo from materials such as scaffolding and even chopsticks. the cases come in four different colors: mushroom, olive, beet and eggplant ($35). incase! you gone done it again!

this is a sweet app for those (like myself) that just want to glance at their expenses on the go. mint (free) [itunes link]offers a simple interface with easy to read numbers and progress bars to quickly see where you are with your expenses. the progress bars turn red when you’re over and green when you’re within budget.

mint.com‘s app actually syncs with their web app. when you enter their site (you’ll have to sign up for a free account first before using the actual iphone app) enter any bank accounts and any other accounts you may have, and watch your iphone magically sync with the web app.

the best thing for me with this app is that it automatically syncs your expenses as you use your accounts, rather than inputing expenses incurred manually.

we’ve all seen at least one car that has been tricked out just right with the appropriate amount of upgrades. the moment you look at it you know – it’s not over the top, it’s not over done. it’s just right. now, take that same idea, only with a phone.

i’m very excited to about this app review because it’s an app i’ve been waiting for a long time. last night at 9pm pst, tweetdeck (free, itunes link), the desktop twitter client we’ve all grown to love just came out with an app for the iphone. let me just say right now, i believe its the best free twitter client for the iphone.

it has a beautiful interface (who, i’ve heard some say it looks a bit windows-y) that very much resembles twitteriffic 2.0. i think tweetdeck for the iphone provides a great twitter user experience. the columns are fun to swipe through and i love the ‘shake to reload’ feature. and (much like tweetie) you can even manage multiple accounts, a feature practically unheard of on a free twitter app. you can even sync it to your desktop tweetdeck.

however, i only have one qualm. TRENDS. i can’t stress that enough. i think all of you out there that already have this app downloaded can agree, this is one feature (probably the only) that this version of tweetdeck is lacking. if there is a way to bypass this feature by adding a column with specific search word(s) that can resemble a pseudo trend column, let me know in the comments, along with any other comments you may have.

looking past a lack of trending topics, i think tweetdeck is hefty, fully functional app that does a great job of taking the desktop version and packing it into a bite size client.
