Composed and conducted by Jack Wall, this CD features more than 30 music selections from the game performed by the Northwest Sinfonia Orchestra in Seattle.
Customer Review: Epic
After hear one of these tracks on the radio I had to buy this CD. Some of the most epic game music ever.
Customer Review: A great companion to the game
This CD is well worth the buy, especially as a companion to the game. The music is haunting and joyous, the perfect sound for the right place in the game. The music in the game can be easily heard, and, if you’ve played the game, you can really see where the music is placed in the game while listening to it.

The long version of the “Main Theme” is not heard in the game, just a shorter version at the end. This song was not very appealing to me, as it just didn’t have the same feel as the other songs. “Opening Titles” is a shorter version of this with a little bit of a different instrument mix. This is heard at the beginning, and you can definitely tell where Atrus is supposed to be talking, because that part is just repeated verses. “Atrus’ Study” is the music heard while in Atrus’ study. This sounded more familiar, because the same song without the percussion is used for the J’nanin Theme, omitted from the soundtrack (probably because of the similarity). “Saavedro Enters” is the short cue heard when Saavedro enters the study and sets it on fire.

“Saavedro’s Theme” and “A Heartbeat Away” are mainly heard while searching for a way to get into the observatory, and have a similar tense but almost serene feeling. “Saavedro’s Lair” has a more tense, echo-ey feeling to it.

“Theme from Amateria” sounds almost ambient, but strong. You can almost see a vision of the purple clouds and ocean with the red pagodas and the store. “Libra’s Lever” is more serene sounding; it almost sounds like you’ve solved something and are ready to move on. “The Spider Spinner” is more ambient, and you can almost hear the water rippling in the background. “The Wheels of Wonder” is very haunting; it’s my favorite piece in the game. You hear it when you’re solving the final two puzzles in Amateria.

“Theme from Edanna” is a little bit more fun-sounding. It sounds almost sunny. “Deadwood Ridge” is a little bit more ambient, and sounds more like the Nature Age. “The Swing Vine” has a nice violin solo, with some Edanna-like background. “The Forest and the Swamp” sounds almost like you’re about to emerge from the darkness into the sun, with not much of a melody, but many joyous sounding background sounds.

“Theme from Voltaic” has a nice melody, and there are many background noises that definitely make it sound like the Energy Age. There is some background singing, also. The background noises and melody are almost haunting, but some part of the whole thing almost makes you want to get up and move around. “The Airship Chasm” is a little bit more ambient; there’s a background noise that you can really hear in the game. Because of that, you can positively identify the music from that part of the game. The beginning melody of “Energy Island” made me skeptical that this was from Voltaic, but I soon recognized the rest of it.

Many of the Narayan songs are a lot like each other, and they’re hard to place in the game. “The Confrontation” is from when you finally confront Saavedro on Narayan, he realizes that you’re not Atrus, and threatens you. It almost sounds blank without him talking, but the different instruments at different times tell his emotions while talking. This one is actually pretty good. The same case with “He Sees Hope,” which is from when Saavedro sees that Narayan is still alive, but then realizes he needs your help to get to it. The piece ends with a bit on confusion, then anger. “Let Me Go!,” “You’ve Been Followed,” “Into Oblivion,” and “All is Lost” are haunting, with a feel of despair and anger, and it bothers me that I cannot place these in the game. “Trapped” is from when you trap Saavedro, and you can completely feel the despair. “The Tide has Turned” has a feel of despair and anger from Saavedro, but it shows your power over him also. “The Dilemma,” also known as the main Narayan theme, is from when you decide what to do with him. It has the same feeling as the previous song, plus a bit of puzzlement, and those feelings grow greater as the song plays longer. “All is Well, my Friend” does not portray that all is well, and I know I heard it in the game, I just can’t figure out where. “Going Home” is a nice piece for when Saavedro rides joyously to the alive Narayan.

This is a great buy, especially if you have played the game. There is a bonus track, but it does not add anything to the soundtrack, although it is a nice song. I recommend this CD to everybody who has beaten Myst III: Exile, and maybe those who haven’t but like this genre of music. Jack Wall also wrote the Myst IV: Revelation Soundtrack, which is wonderful as well, but unfortunately Amazon doesn’t sell it!

It comes with the only Donkey Kong 64 which is probably the biggest platform game of Nintendo 64. It has great graphics and the music matches each world perfectly. I love how you have to use each of the 5 characters to beat the level instead of just picking your favorite. Each character brings different strengths to the table and have different weapons, moves, and instruments. The boss battles are clever and creative and the final battle against King K. Rool is one of the best in all of video games.

Not only does the game come with Donkey Kong 64 but it also comes with the Expansion Pack, a green controller, and 2nd best system of all time, the Nintendo 64 and all its cables. I got mine in from Best Buy and it also came with the strategy guide. This was a steal then and now if you can find it it is probably an even better deal.
Customer Review: Very satisfying purchase
I bought this system after a friend at work talked endlessly about how good DK64 is. Well, this combo set is the perfect way to get DK64 going really fast. It comes with the extra memory and the game so you can literally get the set and get going in no time. I had no trouble setting it up. The console’s green color rocks! And the game is really fun. I have had the set for almost a year now, I play about 3 or 4 hours a week and the game continues to hold my attention. One of these days I will finish the game and have to worry about buying a second game, but I have not had that problem yet.

The cutesy appeal of Chocobo’s Dungeon 2 may look as if it is aimed at younger players, but there is enough depth here to satisfy older gamers.

For starters, Chocobo’s Dungeon 2 lets two players partner in gameplay as they search several randomly generated dungeons that are full of traps, strange devices, and monsters, making the difficulty increase as the game progresses.

Players can combine armor or weapons to form stronger resources in their quest. There are also magic feathers that can aid in your efforts, since they allow gamers to perform magic spells that have an impact on combat. Between your dungeon travels, players are able to explore villages to obtain valuable clues for the journey. In addition, players can use this time to update Chocobo’s inventory.

Overall, Chocobo’s Dungeon 2 is a great game for players looking to get a start in role-playing games. This title is a safe entry point to this often-complex game genre. –Robb Guido

Pros:

Randomly generated dungeons provide variety

Armor and weapons can be combined to form stronger armor and weapons

Cons:

The story is not as engaging as those of other Squaresoft games

Customer Review: A cute game with good re-play value
Although the cute animation and PG rating suggests that Chocobo’s Dungeon 2 is a kid’s game, it has enough challenges to keep an adult player interested. As the title says, this is primarily a dungeon game, where you have to solve mazes, fight monsters, win items, etc. in order to advance the story. What makes it better than most dungeon games are the randomly-generated floor plans. When you exit a dungeon and re-enter, the maze will be entirely different. You still encounter the same monsters and events, but the path to get there is a whole new challenge. This greatly enhances the re-play value of the game, and also keeps you interested if you have to repeat a dungeon — and you will, because parts of this game are really HARD. (The Sea Floor Dungeon has 27 levels!)

Many of the monsters and characters will be familiar to fans of the Final Fantasy series, with some in-jokes built in. For example, the Tonberry, who fights with a Chef’s Knife in FF-VIII, is running a restaurant in this game, and has a drunken Malboro (FF monster) for a customer! You will also find Cid the eccentric inventor, the Black Mages, and Mog the Moogle, among others.

Chocobo himself, of course, is one of those chicken-like birds that the FF characters ride. That’s why, in this game, his defensive armor is a saddle. Chocobo can also be equipped with various collars and claws. Different types of saddles and claws are put into special ovens to create customized weapons, similar to the way that armor and weapons are “tempered” in “Legend of Mana” (another Squaresoft game I recommend.) You can also combine other items at the “recycle boxes” to create new items.

When one of your customized saddles or claws breaks in battle, you may get a feather, which has various effects on your abilities. Different weapon combinations and levels produce different feathers. It pays to track down a copy of the Strategy Guide, so you can plan for which abilities you want to develop first.

My biggest complaint about this game is that, if you get KO’d in a dungeon, you lose all the items and equipment you had with you. This can be very frustrating, especially in the beginning, when you can’t carry much in the way of healing items. As the game progresses, however, you can rent storage space in town, where you stash extra items that won’t be lost in a KO. You will also get “teleport tags” that enable you to beam out of the dungeon at any time WITHOUT losing your items.

The battle system itself is different from the regular FF games, and takes some getting used to. Each time you make a move, the enemy makes a counter-move. If you don’t move, both of you just stand there. Think of this as an online version of the old D&D games, where players took turns rolling dice in the battles, and it will make sense. The big advantage is that you can stop right in the middle of a battle if you need to think about what spell or item to use next. You can even teleport out of a battle if you are about to get KO’d. When you do this, you have to start the dungeon over, but you keep your items and experience points.

After you have beat the game once, let the credits roll, and you can play another version of the game — with new dungeons and the ability to fight as other characters besides Chocobo. Plus, there are some new abilities to earn and a Secret Dungeon with 30 levels!
Customer Review: This Game
This game is based on a Chocobo that travels an adventure through dungens with a mog and meets new friends. This Chocobo, A bird type animal, learns magic and finds new wepons, which are claws. There are pots that one can mix two wepons to make a better one. When a high level claw is broken a feather is gained which can be use to summon a summon. There are also potions that heal when the Chocobo is low on health This is a very good game for Chocobo Final Fantasys Fans.

They provide powerful attacks, defenses, and unique skills — an arsenal you’ ll need to prevail in your quest for supremacy!

Booster pack includes 6 Ben 10 collectible game cards. For use with HyperScan Video Game System (sold separately).
Customer Review: a bust
Unfortunatley, I am not very techno savvy. I purchased this thinking we could use it on the original hyperscan unit…wronge. My boys told me otherwise, when they opened up the unit and hooked it up, this, being Ben 10, and the original unit being X Men, did nothing. I felt so bad for my son, he loves Ben 10 and could not even use these cards.
Customer Review: Gift
This was a gift I bought for my nephew. It’s been a bit difficult to find the main pack, but he likes to use it.

It features a single-pole, double-throw power switch with open position; the switch can be thrown to 8-Bit (NES) or 16-Bit (SNES), or opened to Off. The FC Twin console uses Super Nintendo compatible controllers and devices such as the Super Scope, but cannot use Nintendo compatible controllers and devices such as the NES Zapper peripheral for Duck Hunt. The Super Nintendo controller buttons otherwise map to the NES controller inputs. The FC Twin connects through an RCA connector, and can be hooked into a surround sound system. When using stereo and surround output from these systems, NES sounds and music may seem very different from their typical mono output. Using output modes that properly generate mono sound, either through a single center speaker or cloned to multiple speakers, the sound output sounds mostly identical to the original NES. Now you can enjoy both the NES and the Super NES retro games without looking to replace both of your broken gaming systems. The FC Twin Video Game System is fully compatible with the FC Super Pad Controller
