10 Video Making & Shooting Tips

Someone asked me to share some words regarding video creation... There i mentioned the quick points below:

1) Take inspiration , ideas and story from your own life - daily life.

2) Watch a lot of "Behind the scenes" from youtube.

3) Observe carefully the angles used in the movie.

4) Watch out the reality shows on TV, and see the framing- where they put the character.

5) Always avoid to keep the object i n the middle of the frame.

6) Follow the rule of thirds - It helps in good composition.

7) Always take a main character who'll engage with your camera (viewers) throughout the video.

8) While cutting your video clips, never hesitate to trash your waste shots. Only choose the best shot, no matter if it's of 1-2 seconds.

9) Remember... every second of a video is important. So make a storyboard on your mind or in a paper sheet. (i highly recommend the paper story-boarding as it can make the video process more easier.)

10) Last but not the least, join Vimeo community. And get to know a lot of creative videomakers.

First of all, I must clear you one thing that I’m not a director nor a professional cameraman, I’m a normal guy who is passionate about videography and my main theme behind this blog is to help you to create a professional looking video with the basic consumer camera or mobile phone along with few basic light effects. My passion for video creation made me recognized among many people & I create videos for them (totally non commercial) but I maintain a quality.

As I’m a passionate videographer, I assure you that I won’t refer any professional camera worth thousand dollars, instead I’ll go for the cameras worth $100-$300.
