From Joana: Hello I go by the name Joana, many know me from the World of Warcraft universe, I won Blizzard’s leveling contest a few years back (first one to level 50 in world of Warcraft). My life is all about dedicated gaming and I will continue to share all my secrets and strategies to the world as long as you are willing to help me in return!

The Starcraft 2 beta started in late February 2010, and I have been playing non-stop ever since it came out. I have practiced many strategies and have perfected every one. I know which starcraft 2 strategies work best, I know what strategy counters what and so on. My guide will teach you all of that in a very organized manner.

Starcraft 2 has a ladder system in place where you can climb and be the top best player in your region. After absorbing the information contained via my guide you will have no problems climbing the ranks and simply kicking butt in starcraft 2.

The fundamentals in Starcraft 2 (or really any RTS game) involves the ability of how to macro and micro, that is the foundation of what it takes to understand how to play Starcraft 2 efficiently. I explain in detail how to properly micromanage your units and how to macromanage your base to produce your fighting units. I cover this in my basics section of my guide.

If you want to play Starcraft 2 but only want to master and play one race, you will still need to master the other 2 races in starcraft 2 in order to win all the time with the one race you chose. My Guide covers all 3 races extensively, and after reading my guide you will have a full understanding of how to counter anything in the game with any race.

Throughout my guide you will learn the best build orders for the protoss, zerg, and terrans. Rushing is big part of Starcraft 2, and to maximize your rushing potential you will need to learn the fastest way of getting units out as quick as possible. Here is an example build order to get a Terran Reaper out ASAP:

Brutal Difficulty Video – Was able to complete all mission goals and achievements on brutal, that includes beating this under 15 minutes for the “Hit & Run” achievement.

NOTE: After this mission I do the following upgrades and purchases: MERCENARY: I purchase the Hammer Securities. ARMORY: I upgrade the Neosteel Bunker (increases bunker capacity by 2).

Brutal Difficulty Video – Was able to complete all mission goals and achievements on brutal, that includes not losing any transport truck or building, also collected all DNA Chrysalis and resource pick-ups.

NOTE: After this mission I do the following upgrades and purchases: MERCENARY: I purchase the Devil Dogs. LABORATORY RESEARCH CONSOLE: I research Shrike Turrets (for the Zerg Research). I think having an automated turret for bunkers is better than just a bit more hitpoints. ARMORY: I upgrade the stabilizer Medpacks for the Medics.

Brutal Difficulty Video – I completed all mission goals and achievements on brutal, that includes killing the Brutalisk in the lava for the “Red Lobster” achievement, and locating all of Tosh’s reapers for the “Reaper Man” achievement.

NOTE: After this mission I do the following upgrades and purchases: ARMORY: I upgrade Kinetic Foam for Marauders (Gives them +25 life).

Starcraft 2 Is a VERY Competitive Game, battle.net is organized into leagues, as you can see with the screenshot below..

Battle.net will properly place you into a league that fits your skill level the best. When you search for games on battle.net you will be paired with people in your same league, that way all the matches will be fair. You can see how you are placed in the world according to your league. I am very happy they included this, as I think it is a big improvement over Starcraft 1. With my Starcraft 2 guide, I include all the best strategies from the Pro League, so you can easily dominate any other league and climb to be the best!

My name is Helen Dickson and I have been stitching for more years than I can remember. I come from a long line of skilled needlewomen and I made my first (rather wonky!) stitches under my mum’s gentle guidance nearly half a century ago! I know how lucky I was being able to learn my craft in this way, and now I want to share all the knowledge and expertise I’ve gained with others. In The Stitcher’s Companion we’ll journey together through the wonderful world of thread, floss and fabric. Along the way I’ll share with you not only the knowledge handed down to me by my own Mum, Grandma and the rest of my family, but also of the Mums and Grandmas of stitchers across the world who have generously shared their stitching secrets with us. Putting this book together took me back through the years … to the time when I would sit with my Mum while she stitched one of her wonderful hand embroidered creations, now cherished family heirlooms. As we sat together over our embroidery she would patiently show me the basics, and I was soon stitching my own first projects. The knowledge of hand embroidery that my Mum and Grandma passed on to me as I grew up has truly been worth its weight in gold over the years. I was so lucky to benefit from this wonderful stitching inheritance, to share their hints and tips and learn the secrets they acquired slowly and painstakingly during the course of their lifetimes. As I learned from them, I would look at my work, and then at theirs and think that I would never ever be able to stitch as well as them. My own hand embroidery was always a bit messy and my stitches uneven. But my Mum and Grandma never made me feel bad about it – they just helped me with loving advice and encouragement, showing me the right way to make my stitches look neat and even. Over time, I gained in skill and confidence, and now I create and sell my own designs to others. Of course not everyone is lucky enough to have such a rich store of knowledge passed onto them. It can take many years to discover the secrets they passed onto me so lovingly – and of course many stitchers don’t learn them at all. Have you ever wondered why your project isn’t working out quite how you expected it to – or maybe felt disappointed that, after all your hard work, something wasn’t quite right? Or have you felt foolish while shopping, not understanding how different fabrics suit different projects, not knowing how to choose the right needle? Sometimes it’s had to ask for help, particularly if you feel it’s a problem that’s so basic others might laugh at your lack of knowledge. As a designer with my own website, I receive many emails from other stitchers asking for my help with their embroidery and other sewing problems, and later, thanking me for the help and guidance I’ve been able to give them.
And so the idea for The Stitcher’s Companion was born …. I noticed that many fellow stitchers were asking me the same questions and the answers to these, together with the knowledge passed down by my Mum and Grandma, formed the original basis of this book. That original concept has now been expanded further through the addition of hints and tips generously contributed by other stitchers across the globe, covering everything from working with metallic threads (would you ever have thought of putting them in the fridge?!) to organising your floss and stitching on a dark background. The Stitcher’s Companion was written with you – the reader- in the front of my mind. It’s an easy, fun read, packed with practical advice and suitable for both newbies and the more experienced stitcher. You’ll learn all the tips and techniques you need to help you stitch right first time – and every time – so you too can produce the hand embroidery projects that will be admired by your friends and family today and become your own family’s heirlooms of the future. Written in a friendly, humorous style, The Stitcher’s Companion contains all the information you need about fabric, floss and thread, from choosing the right fabric and floss for your embroidery project and transferring your design to the fabric to framing and displaying your completed work. Webcam 101 for Seniors….

Apple finally opened up its biggest store yet in Grand Central Terminal today. Since I was passing through, I decided to take a quick walkthrough with my iPhone. The results are the two VideoTVlive and other images below.

The store covers two balconies which wrap around a corner of Grand Central, with different products laid down on tables and taking up space in grottos towards the back of the balconies. There are a couple interior rooms you can go through as well, and you see the terminal’s huge chandeliers hanging out the window.

It was jam-packed on opening day, filled mostly with gawkers. But I have a feeling this will become one of Apple’s highest-grossing stores just because of how many people go through Grand Central every day. You can get a feeling for the space by watching my VideoTVlive below.
