• things have been a bit crazy for me recently, and it was hard to find some time to update my website. but i’m taking a little bit of it to thank all the very nice people who came to MONSTER BENTŌ’s booth during JAPAN TOUCH#12, even if you just came to chat! i’ve spent an amazing week-end thanks to you, and i’m really glad my first festival went so well, thank you!

but the huge surprise for me during this week-end was the fact that “MONSTER FOOD” won the price for Best 2010 Fanzine!! i didn’t expect this at all but it truly makes me so happy :’) i’m really grateful to the people who chose “MONSTER FOOD”, and i’ll try to keep on working as hard as i can!

• c’est un peu la folie depuis quelques temps pour moi, et je n’ai malheureusement pas eu beaucoup de temps pour actualiser mon site. j’en prends cependant un petit peu pour remercier tous les gens qui sont passés au stand de MONSTER BENTŌ pendant JAPAN TOUCH#12, même si ce n’était que pour passer un moment à discuter! j’ai passé un week-end génial grâce à vous, et je suis vraiment heureux que ce premier festival se soit bien passé, merci!

mais la grande surprise pour moi durant ce week-end, c’est que “MONSTER FOOD” a remporté le prix du Meilleur Fanzine 2010!! je ne m’y attendais pas mais alors pas du tout, et ça me rend vraiment très heureux :’) merci à ceux qui ont choisi “MONSTER FOOD”, je vais essayer de continuer à travailler aussi dur que je le peux!

• JAPAN TOUCH#12 starts on saturday and so i thought i should post to talk about it some of the things you’ll find at the booth!!

obviously you’ll see me, i’ll be there and happy to sign and draw for you; but you’ll also find the two books i’ve told you about earlier, the first issue of “MONSTER FOOD” and my sketchbook “WELCOME TO THE OZER WORLD“, and next to those two books, lots of goodies like these bookmarks! these are only four of the ones you’ll find at MONSTER BENTŌ’s booth, so don’t be afraid and come see the others!

things have been pretty crazy between university starting again and a totally unexpected moving, but it’s good to have a new place and work again!!
and i’ve just finished inking these little bookmarks for MONSTER BENTŌ that will be sold at JAPAN TOUCH#12 in november along lots of other things!

tout a été un peu chaotique récemment entre le retour à la fac et un déménagement de dernière minute totalement imprévu, mais ça fait beaucoup de bien d’avoir un nouveau chez-soit et de pouvoir se remettre au boulot!!
et je viens à l’instant de finir l’encrage de ces marque-pages pour MONSTER BENTŌ qui seront en vente à JAPAN TOUCH#12 en novembre, aux côtés de tout un tas de petites choses!

it’s now official, MONSTER BENTŌ will attend JAPAN TOUCH#12, its very first festival in Lyon on november 27 & 28, 2010!! comics, illustrations, goodies and little gifts, i’m working on lots of very special surprises for the occasion and i hope to see you all there!

i stopped working on “Monster Food” a little bit to work on a birthday gift for a very dear friend of mine! an illustration based on a fantastic play he had written a couple of years ago, titled “Down on Love”

une petite pause dans le travail sur “Monster Food” pour travailler sur le cadeau d’anniversaire d’un ami très cher! une illustration basée sur une pièce fantastique que ce dernier a écrite, titrée “Down on Love” (et oui, à partir de maintenant les posts seront aussi bien écrits en anglais qu’en français!)

and my website is finally back with a brand new design!!

it took me quite some time but i can officially launch it on this very special day which is not only my birthday, but most importantly for me the 5th anniversary of my very first published comics, Serena Valentino’s “GloomCookie” #24.

i actually can’t believe it’s already been 5 years since that day, and today more than ever, i am incredibly grateful to my dear Serena for giving me the opportunity to work on what has always been one of my favourite comic series ever.

i really hope you’ll enjoy all the new things and projects you’ll find here, and i just can’t wait to share more about all the fantastic things that are going to happen!
