Templates.com St. Valentine wallpaper contest

Templates is having their current wallpaper contest themed as “Love will save the world” which is devoted to St. Valentines day.

Joining is so simple. Just register on their site and submit your entry. They welcome any type of image, 3D art, vectors, photos and pixmaps. Images must also be in .jpg (JPEG) format and you wallpaper must be in four resolutions, 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×1024 and 1600×1200. and main condition is to put the template.com logo on your wallpaper. Contest will end on February 14, 2009 and the winner will be announced on February 16, 2009.

I’m back with new updates

It’s been awhile since the last time I had updated this blog. I was so busy complying my requirements for graduation and a bit pressured because I need to ensure that all subjects will have high marks. And finally its all over and I’m back here blogging again with some new updates. ^_^

Since I have lots of time now I will be working with two blogs. This one and a new blog which is not done yet. Here’s a sneak peak of the new blog.

nPixels is all about art. It’s more of like showcasing the diverse products of digital art. In nPixels you will find various works from me and various works from other artists around the globe who I fave much. nPixels will also be a den for tutorials like Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom etc.

I think that will be all for now. I’m gonna post other updates soon. Better watch out for it. ^_^

There are, quite literally, hundreds of blogging flatforms and packages out there. Choosing the right one for you can be such a daunting task that most people simply pick what is most well known, without necessarily picking based on quality of the software or the longevity of the platform.

Thankfully, Wordpress is both well known and deserving of it’s status as the most popular PHP-based blogging platform available. And as a first time user I could say that Wordpress really done a great job!

In line with this, Wordpress will be conducting an event which will be the best venue for wordpress enthusiast to gather together and know what’s hot and what’s the latest about wodrdpress.

The Strength to Make Peace

Achieving peace is one of the most difficult challenges, not only for our civilization and generation, but for our daily lives. When we don’t have peace where we need it the most, like at our work or in our home, or even in ourselves, it’s hard to see how it exists in the world at wide. But really, peace can be a lot like your new favorite color. Before, maybe you favored orange, but now you love blue, and you notice it everywhere you go.

That is the key to peace: notice it. What does it look like to you and how does it feel? For me, I notice peace through meditation and writing, even when I am dealing with the most destructive emotions or circumstances. And the truthful, honest fact is that there is always going to be some challenge that you will have to face. Sometimes, it will only be a slight irritation, and other times it will break your back and suck you dry of every ounce of spirit you thought you had.

If you really want to know how to make peace and live that peace, you have to ask yourself the question, “Who am I?” because only when you ask that question can you find, in yourself, the strength to make peace. Every challenge, every struggle, every situation that you are confronted with will throw you off or knock you down. But when you ask the question, “Who am I?” and you answer honestly by acting with love, integrity and respect not only for others, but for yourself, you can live in a state of peace.

In the pool of life, ripples on the surface do not appear without first meeting with the pebble of intention. So what is your intention? What are your ideas about how to cultivate peace and what personal skills have you to make your own ripple? Like it or not, we’re inheriting the world with all of its positives and negatives, and in order for all of us to partake in the miracle known as life, we need more expressions of diplomacy and understanding in our personal, social and political lives. Robert Fulghum, an American writer once said, “Peace is not something you wish for; it’s something you make, something you do, something you are, and something you give away.”

So now I’m asking, what have you got to give?

Dynamics of Life

I was told, some time ago, that a road was a metaphor for life. i was also told that a road was a metaphor for choices. The ironic thing is that someone told me that life was about making decisions.

So what is that? I mean, does that mean that choices can be a metaphor for life and that a road has nothing to do with either of them? So how do i symbolize all the three in one? Is it even possible? I say we make a metaphor for life simpler. Like… The chunk I just picked off of the bottom of my foot.

But I bet the moron who thought; “Life is like a road” will make some sentimental crap out of a chunk of skin too. So what makes it like a bit of peeling skin from the sole of my foot? To that question reader, i have no answer. Feel free to move past the awkwardness and bizarreness of it and answer me if you feel you have a substantial answer.
