Trick to Fix "Obtaining Ip Address .. " issue in Android mobile ..

Dear Users,

I have faced a weird issue in android mobiles .. some times while connecting to a wifi even though you provide correct password wifi keeps connecting and disconnecting at "obtaining ip address..".

To fix this ..
first disconnect from the network .. go to wifi settings .. from there navigate to advanced wifi settings .. check the "Use Static Ip" then come back and enter password and connect to the wifi again .. now while it tries to connect .. go to advanced again and remove the check box and come back and see you will be connected !!!!
Funny fix ! Worked for me many times !!!

Error "please enable your wifi adapter"

Dear Users,

You may get this error in the following scenarios

When your wifi is turned off
When your drivers dosent support virtualization . So please try to find the latest drivers which can support virtualization.

How to check if your drivers support virtualization ??

There are two ways to check if your wifi card and drivers support virtualization

Go to help in my tool and click on check button. If it says "Yes" it means it supports virtualization and "No" means it doesn't support virtualization.
If my tool says nothing or if you want to check directly without intervention of tool please run your command prompt in Administrator mode and run the following command "netsh wlan show drivers" and check for "Hosted network supported : Yes". (Check the sample image below with highlighted text)
If your drivers says "yes" and then my tool is not able to start let me know i will check it and will fix it for you.
If it says "No" it means you have old drivers which doesn't support virtualization.

Even after installing the latest drivers it says "No" it means your hardware is not supporting virtualization.

Releasing Virtual WiFi Router 2.0.1.5 Working on other languages

Releasing Virtual WiFi Router 2.0.1.5 which can handle computers with languages other than english .. tested in Dutch , and i would like to thank Michael Zijpveld from Netherlands who helped me a lot in testing and giving me logs and helped me in fixing the issue..

Clients connected list is not updating in few languages other than English, will shortly fix it..

Given a button in "Help -> Check" if your drivers support virtual wifi network. ( If it show anything other than yes please upgrade your drivers to the latest which supports virtual wifi)

Issues if you have connectify installed or used previously

Dear Users,

I want to let all of you know that there are issues in starting of virtual wifi router when connectify is installed or used previously and un-installed.

Issues with Connectify

If connectify is installed and un - installed it is disabling wifi network so wifi router is not able to start and staying in configure page

I have fixed this issue and the fix is available in new version 2.1.0.2 Version

If you have connectify still installed on the pc please stop the service of it in services.msc or uns-install it because if any virtual wifi is started outside it , it stops it forcefully you will face problems like wifi starts and stops immideatly.

Few people asked me that the password is empty after configuring.

Yes that is a feature.
I am not saving the password. Once you configure i give the password to windows and windows takes care of the password next time you start it.
Once you configure you need not enter the password again and again.
Start or stop the wifi normally it will start with last configured name and password.
Only configure it again if you want to change the wifi name or password.
If you forgot your old name dont worry just go to configure and and re configure it with new password

There is an issue in starting the wifi router if you have uninstalled connectify.

Now the issue is fixed in this VirtualWiFiRouter2.0.1.2 release.

Hi today i have observed that if you have some alternate software for creating wifi router like connenctify please remove it because when any other wifi is started outside he is forcefully stopping it using the service he has installed in your pc.

Launching Virtual wifi Router

We have finally made it Virtual WiFi Router !

It can turn your windows 7 PC (with WiFi card in it) into a WiFi router.
Windows 7 has an option to create AdHoc networks but devices like mobiles , tabulates will not be able to connect to this network. Using this tool you will be able to create a WiFi hot spot which can be accessed using any WiFi enabled devices.

You can now Download our Free Virtual Router .We thought of selling it for 20$ per download ,
Later we decided to launch for free.

Completely scanned with various anti-virus programs. As a developer we care for user's privacy and data.

1) After downloading Configure with a WiFi hot spot name which you wish other to see.
2) Select password with more than 8 Character and click setup hot spot .

3) Click start.

Congrats you are done.

Note : We are not storing the WiFi password which you provide while configuring the router. Instead we leave it operating system to do that once successfully started we just clear the passwords entered so that no one can unmask the masked characters with any tool.

Now you have hosted a WiFi router using your PC. Connect to the WiFi router from your mobile/Ipad to the one you just configured. Enjoy the internet.
