You probably spend quite a bit of time working on backlinks – and that is a great thing – but unless you have a backlinks indexing solution then all that hard work is for naught.

After all, a search engine cannot count links on web pages that it doesn’t know exists.

The process can be time consuming, so why bother combing through links by hand? If you want to know what goes in to indexing backlinks, here are a few of the ways that SEO services get the job done:

- Building New Links to your Backlinks
- Adding links to Social Bookmarking Websites
- Consulting on Backlink Strategy
- Various Pinging Techniques (Ping-o-Matic and Such!)

Our Backlinks Indexing Recommendations

Starting with a flexible plan is a great option for beginners. Services like Backlinks Indexer are powerful, and each backlinks indexing package is scaled to your needs to keep costs low. The four different plans range anywhere from 1,500 to 15,000 links indexed per month, and each plan features a convincing five-day free trial.

We haven’t been using Backlinks Indexer for very long but it’s already our favorite!

This tool makes indexing backlinks in bulk super easy.

We urge you to try out a pretty eye-opening alternative called Backlink Energizer which actually turns your WordPress in to an indexing machine. You’ll save tons of money on bills from your backlinks indexing service because you just plug in your social media information into the WordPress plugin and then you’re ready to go.

But sometimes you need a compromise between flexibility and automation.

For the best of submission tracking and backlinks indexing you need to check out Ultraseobacklinks – with packages ranging from 200 to 2000 links a day you will never have a shortage of indexing. You’ll also receive reports within three days so you can track your progress as you index backlinks.

Getting your backlinks indexed does not have to be difficult. In fact, with the right tools, the process can be painless and almost entirely automated. Backlinks indexing is a driving force of search engine optimization – don’t get caught with dead links!

The one thing I’ve learned when it comes to looking for software to edit video and stuff is that for the most part, you have to try a few programs in order to find one that works best for you.

Video editing software performs very differently from machine to machine, depending on the computer configuration you have at home. Your processor, memory and graphics card (among other things) all play a major role in the entire editing experience.

Don’t be surprised to read all kinds of conflicting reviews online and ratings that don’t match up. For every 10 positive reviews, you’ll encounter 10 horror stories for the same video editing software. That’s just the way it goes with software to edit video.

I’ve had programs work perfectly on one PC, then have them crash on another for similar editing tasks.

All that aside, I’m not going to leave you dry with this article.

I do have some recommendations for ya. I’m by no means a super editing pro but I’ve edited hundreds of different productions over the years. I’ve got a little more than two cents to share when it comes to this stuff.

Software to Edit Video

My favorite has got to be PowerDirector by Cyberlink. I absolutely love it.

When it comes to affordable video editing suites – this one rules.

It’s not as powerful and super-pro as Adobe Premiere or Sony Vegas – which is a good thing cause PD doesn’t come with the hefty price tag or gut-wrenching learning curve either.

Besides, you wouldn’t be reading this if you were looking for powerhouse options. That is, unless you actually are looking for powerhouse software, in which case, Premiere and Vegas all the way! They’re Glorious Industry Standards! Be prepared to spend hours learning how to use them though, because they’re not for the impatient type.

My personal favorite (the one I use daily) is PowerDirector. I suggest if you’re looking for software to edit video clips or create quality productions, with HD in mind, you have to try it.

Other noteworthy contenders that fall into the affordable consumer category are VideoStudio, Pinnacle Studio, Roxio and Adobe Premiere Elements.

I had used VideoStudio for a couple of years for some video capture but then I switched to PD when VS started to become unstable on my new PC. Pinnacle always crashed. The others – I haven’t played around with enough to give you input. What can I say – PD has been good to us!

Again – try out as many of them as you like. Find one that fits your system requirements. Install the trial, open up some video clips and play around. That’s the best way you get a feel for which best does the trick.

I know it’s a headache but give yourself a few hours to test drive some of the options I mentioned above and I can assure you that you’ll find the right software to edit video for you.

If you’re starting out with video editing and you need it for video marketing or whipping up quality videos for YouTube and stuff, stick to a budget of under $100 and you’ll be good to go.

Free Software to Edit Video

With free – you get what you pay for.

I don’t use free software to edit video because it usually just won’t cut it for what I need. Nowadays every camcorder or computer you buy comes bundled with free software to edit video. You can get real crafty if you’re patient and have modest requirements for your project.

If I had to recommend any pre-installed programs, it would have to be MovieMaker for Windows and iMovie for MAC.

Looking for something that didn’t come bundled with your machine?

I’ve heard quite a few things about WAX and Jahshaka, which are both Free.

I can’t personally vouch for any of these because, as I mentioned, I don’t use them.

If you have or can – please do leave a message below. These programs are good options worth exploring if you don’t want to shell out any money. Be prepared to fiddle around.

If you haven’t tried PowerDirector from Cyberlink – give it a go. Test the trial and see how it fairs.

PD is very affordable and has been a consistent performer for us. It’s our official software to edit video and has been for many years – since version 5 or so. It’s NOT perfect. No software to edit videos is. PD is easy to use, robust, relatively stable, supports HD and is very well priced.

To be honest, if PD runs smooth on your machine, you’ll very happy with it. It’s very solid in terms of editing tools and video producing options.

Hope this article helps. Let me know what your favorite video editing option is. Have you had to deal with video editing crashing frustrations? What do you use right now to edit your vids? Post your comments below:

It’s a beautiful era in Cyberspace. Anyone can hook up their very own self-hosted WordPress blog for just a few bucks. If you’re trying to decide what hosting option is right for you – close your eyes and say “Wordpress Self-Hosted” three times and don’t look back.

I’ve designed and scripted (with help from trusty programmers, of course) dozens of sites from scratch, way before WordPress became popular. Even when your neighbor started blogging, our company stuck with custom scripting out of habit – though smart people were telling us that blogging was the new wave. Back then, setting up WordPress on one’s own required some skill.

It wasn’t until push-button installations hit the scene that I was completely sold. After I pimped out a few themes and flexed my design skills on the WP framework, like every other Internet entrepreneur, I quickly became a believer.

There is nothing like it. We’re all very lucky to have WordPress.

It enables anyone to set up a fully functional website and online business presence with virtually zero web experience. It’s awesome.

Hosted WordPress Blog

1. You can host a WB blog on your own with any hosting company you like.

2. You can set up a Free WordPress Hosted blog that resides on WP servers.

Option two is great if you’re setting up some rapid-fire blogs for marketing and stuff. You can also make money with a WordPress-hosted blog. After all IT IS a fully functioning blog.

The downside to option two is that you don’t actually own or have full control of your blog because it’s hosted by a third-party. Your website address will also be a sub-domain of WordPress, i.e. “yoursite.wordpress.com”. Sure, you can still buy your own domain and redirect it but that’s not ideal for many reasons.

Option one isn’t free but is definitely the way to go in most cases. There’s no excuse not to opt for a self-hosted WordPress considering hosting plans (like HostGator) only cost a few dollars. Not to mention a setup process that consists of only 2 or 3 clicks. Easy as pie.

If you decide to get hooked up with Gator – use our special “VASpecial25″ coupon to save 25% off your bill!

If you need help with getting set up, just join our newsletter for some easy lessons.

Best of all you can have your very own domain (yoursite.com) and have full control of your blog and business. No third parties. Of course you’d still be using the WP open source framework but the blog is all yours. You can back it up, change hosts or do whatever you like with it.

Going with a self-hosted WordPress blog is starting off on the right foot.

Setting up is easy to do and extremely affordable. Don’t think twice about it!

WordPress Hosted vs. Self-Hosted – Not a Fair Fight!

You might agonize about the decision but the answer is simple.

If you’re at a blog crossroads and see two signs that read: self-hosted WordPress or WordPress-hosted… go with self-hosted. You cannot go wrong.

The only time I would consider a WordPress-hosted or Blogger option is for buffer sites or quick mini-sites built for marketing purposes and backlinking to our self-hosted WordPress Blogs. I would use them like we use most 2.0 properties like Tumblr, Zanga and Company.

I suppose a WordPress-hosted blog would be smart if you want a personal blog and don’t want to dish out for hosting. If I decided to hook up a personal blog with no intentions of monetizing – and the few bucks weren’t an issue – I would still go with self-hosted.

Many people live by free blogs. I know they’re wonderful. But if you ask me which is best for your blog or mission to make money online? I’ll tell you to hook up your very own self-hosted blog every single time.

Nowadays there’s no excuse for not being in full control of your blog. Whether you’re setting up a tiny niche site or an authority site, destined for big bucks, the road to profits always looks better when you’re in the driver’s seat.

What do mindfulness meditation techniques have to do with your online business? You might be surprised at how greatly they can impact your bottom line.

What is Mindfulness Meditation?

Mindful meditation is basically about mastering the art of “Chillaxing”. Not the kind you do on the weekend hanging with your friends. I’m talking about some seriously needed quiet time with “number one” – You!

The ultimate goal here is to peacefully tune into the present moment and master your incessant train of thoughts. When you do this, when you are in the now, your brain and body start to slow down naturally. You’re not thinking about SEO’ing, or about that conference call you have to make, or the gazillion emails you must take care of – nothing. You’re simply being – in complete connection with your body/mind!

That’s where the magic happens!

Do you think that great ideas manifest when your mind is overloaded with blog content ideas or meetings and to-do lists? Nope! You’re not gonna get that brilliant social media marketing strategy in some busy mind state because there’s just no room for brilliantness to take place.

It’s not gonna happen!

Your million dollar ideas are going to come to you when you’re in a free flowing mode. Great thoughts don’t come when you’re stressing out.

The only way to this is to be 100% in the present moment.

Oh and ladies, meditation reduces wrinkles!

Do you know what the real good news is?

You’re already equipped with the main tool you need to get started – your breath. Yeah it might sound silly but focusing on your breathing is actually the best and easiest way to master mindfulness meditation techniques.

Whenever you want to get into the now, use your breathing as a guide. By eliminating mind clutter and focusing on your breath, your body and mind instantly relax. Your muscles ease and you begin to feel a general sense of peace and calm and wellbeing.

Start by getting comfy and proceed to inhale deeply, then exhale without force. Clear your mind of any thoughts that arise. Pretend that your thoughts are like passing storm clouds and just observe them coming and going peacefully. Observe your breath as you inhale and exhale.

Practice mindful meditation techniques whenever you feel overwhelmed.

Practice when you need to get focused.

Practice especially when you need some fresh new business ideas to manifest. The more you practice the more you’ll relax and automatically enter the present moment without forcing it.

How to Do Mindfulness Meditation

My solution for you is to schedule the mindfulness meditation techniques right into your daily to-dos. Think of it this way. You’re always scheduling biz-related stuff into your dailies right? Do the same for this. Block out a 10-to-15 minute period a couple of times a week. Call it your “Me Time” and book it. Eventually, you can practice on a daily basis but for now, take baby steps to get comfy and familiarize yourself with the process.

Here are 2 mindful meditation exercises. They’re super easy and will get you going instantly. Remember to use your breath as a guide…

1. In Your Office

Turn off all distractions. I’m talking about all the electronic beeping stuff, whistles and ringtones. Mute everything just for a few minutes. Turn off the lights, lower the blinds and just relax. Sit in your most comfortable position, it doesn’t matter if it’s on the sofa, the chair or even the floor.

Follow your breath.

2. Enjoy Some Fresh Air

Nature is powerful. Being outdoors grounds you. Use your beautiful natural environment to help release tension and bring you back into the present moment. The best and easiest way to enjoy the outdoors is to go for a walk. You don’t have to pack a lunch and walk for hours. A nice calm walk around the block will do the trick. Or my favorite, a walk right after a heavy rain fall. The energy outside is so energizing and inspiring. Remember, it’s all about the breathing.

If you just don’t know how to get started and need a little extra motivation or instruction – I highly recommend this DVD with Rodney Yee, which has some wonderful easy meditation sessions that anyone can do. It’s been a life saver in this household for many, many years.

There’s absolutely no doubt about it. Mindfulness meditation techniques can positively inspire your business in many ways. All you have to do is just close your eyes, relax, take a few deep breaths and let yourself go into the present moment.

It sounds easy and simple – well it’s not. It takes practice.

But the good news is that you’ll get better at it every day! The more you practice, the more you master the present moment, the more you’ll absorb the phenomenal benefits of meditation. The more you and your online business profit.

You don’t have to be a yogi or a monk to reap the amazing benefits of centering yourself in the present moment. I encourage you to try it out and see for yourself how meditation completely changes your thought patterns and state of mind. Who knows, maybe your bestest idea awaits you in the now.

Practice the mindful meditation techniques and watch the ideas start to flow. Do you already meditate? Has it greatly influenced your day, your online business? I would love to hear your thoughts and stories.

There are countless reasons why you might be interested in setting up and writing a blog for money. Even if you accidentally stumbled on this page looking for ways to blog for money, there are some great nuggets in this post.

It’s up to you to take advantage and put the wheels into motion.

Starting a blog for money is really easy to do. Staying committed and focused on the key steps that will actually make YOU money can be challenging for some.

Writing a Blog for Money…

Whether you’re just starting in this business or feel the urge to transform your current blogging efforts into profits, follow these 6 important steps. I promise they will help you greatly in your goal to write a blog for money.

Read ABR. I can’t explain how vital this e-book will be as a primer for blog money making. The core concepts, tools and disciplines for income-generating blogging are in these pages.

1. Figure out the Concept of your Blog. The idea of a concept might feel immense at first but don’t let it stop you. All you need is a topic for your site. What are you going to write about?

2. Set up Your Blog. You can do this in just a couple of hours. Get a self-hosted WordPress blog hooked with a good provider like Gator. It’s really easy. If you need help – our free ABS lessons will walk you through the entire process.

3. Stock up on Keywords. Use the Google Keyword Tool or Niche Finder to zero in and find niche keywords for your blog. Target long tail keywords with your articles and posts. Using easier keywords will yield organic readers once you begin building backlinks and marketing your pages. Your content and blog pages MUST aim for terms that people are actually searching for online. This is crucial in putting the odds in your favor when it comes to blog money making.

4. Content Creation. Roll up those sleeves and start writing. Content is everything – the more you post, the more traffic you’ll receive – which in turn will enable you to make more money. You have to be committed to this part of the equation. Giving up on delivering steady quality content is probably the number one reason why most bloggers fail. If you can’t handle the content creation – outsource. Find writers on oDesk and Fiverr. Or contact services like Content Authority.

5. SEO and Marketing. Begin your marketing efforts by building backlinks pointing to your site. Article marketing and Social Bookmarking is the best way to get started with online promotion. It’s all free and will enable your blog to get indexed in major search engines and receive free traffic. The first thing we always do when we publish a blog is submit a handful of articles to major article directories like EzineArticles and Go Articles. We follow that up with directories using a manual directory submission Service. That’s just the tip of the iceberg – blog marketing never stops – casting a wider net every single week means more readers. More readers means more profit potential!

6. Monetize. Start by setting up something nice and easy like Google AdSense to get dollars coming your way. Don’t expect a lot at first – thinking you’re going to make money overnight is not a good idea. Focus on getting traffic to your blog – as the bucks start building. Try your hand at affiliate marketing and pushing products for profits using services like ClickBank and Amazon Associates. You can also opt to sell your own products like digital or hard goods. once you have the targeted traffic you can do anything. Focus on traffic.

7. Don’t Stop! If you’re serious about writing a blog for money, you have to be ready to put in some real work. You won’t make money in mere weeks. It WILL take months to get traffic and see some real cash coming your way. If you have blogging experience and feel confident with your Internet skills, I would also recommend setting up a few secondary blogs to compliment or add to your main blog. Stay committed and don’t give up. Stick to the fundamentals and you will make money.

Blog Money Making Alternatives

You don’t have to create your OWN blog to make money. Starting a blog to make money on your own terms if definitely a great idea but it might not be for everyone. You could also think about making money blogging for others…

Yup – Freelance!

There are plenty of online blog writing jobs and gigs. You just have to know where to look. Start with oDesk and Fiverr to get a feel for your options. Read some of the related articles we’ve already posted on V&A.

Remember no matter how you slice it – writing a blog for money is no joke. It’s a business. You have to approach it that way if you want to succeed.

What’s stopping you from your dream to write a blog for money?

Any questions, ideas or tips you want to share?

The other day, my bro-in-law was working on his new blog. He hit me up on Skype and asked me if I could show him how to make a blog header. He showed me a quick one he had already created and asked it was good enough.

It wasn’t. I love my lil’ homie but he definitely is NOT the creative one in the family.

Then again… I CAN BE a tough critic when it comes to design.

I’ve been a pro web designer for a very long time and have easily designed more than one thousand headers and hundreds of websites. I’ve designed some pretty awesome headers in my day. I told my bro-in-law that I would whip one up for him. My pleasure.

The other thing I told him was that in the future, if you’re not sure about your skills, just get someone else to do it…

As a blogger in Web 2.0, you’ve got options. You can flex your creative muscle and make a blog header on your own or you can have a nice looking one custom-made for a reasonable commission.

If you want to know how to make a blog header that will truly represent – keep reading!

How to Make a Blog Header on Your Own

Just whip out the image-editing program of your choice and whip something together. It’s not that difficult to make a blog header. However, it can be difficult to create one that is truly nice.

The software of choice is most definitely Adobe Photoshop. If you don’t have access to Photoshop then you can go with the image-creation software that came bundled with your computer. Actually, almost any type of photo-editing tool will do if you’re looking to create a custom blog header.

If you have very little to no design experience, I would recommend having someone else make a header for you. It really doesn’t cost much nowadays.

I’ll get to that in a minute…

If you insist on learning how to make a header by yourself and need assistance, I would recommend picking up some quality templates.

You might like the collection offered by Explosive Instant Headers or Header Templates. Explosive offers both Photoshop (psd) and regular blank JPG files so almost anyone can whip something up with or without Photoshop.

In its most simple form, your custom blog header must have:

1. An image representing the Theme of Your Blog. You can use template that fits your niche or license some stock photography from Dreamstime or MorgueFile. Make sure you have rights to use any image before designing a your header.

2. The Name of Your Blog. Easy on the eyes so it’s easy to read.

3. Your Tagline or Slogan. Add some descriptive text. Nothing too long – just enough to convey what your blog has to offer.

How to Make a Blog Header for $5

If you don’t have any design experience – why stress yourself?

Just hit up Fiverr and you can have a spiffy custom blog header in no time.

I recommend the following 3 Top-Rated Fiverr Gig Providers:

hendratok:
I will make header for your site in 24 or 48 hours and you will get the PSD file for $5

clippership:
I will create a high quality website header or banner for $5

graphixgoddess:
I will design a clean site BANNER or header for your website or blog for $5

What about less than $5?

You can post up a quick job on oDesk and put up a budget of $3 or $4. You’d be surprised how many willing talented designers would be more than happy to hook you up.

Also if you need a LOT of headers or plan on creating a LOT of sites, it might be wise to make a one-time investment in some templates like the ones by Explosive Instant Headers. Even if YOU don’t use them, you can easily have your designer use them – which will save you time and money either way.

Don’t Rush to Hook Up a Custom Blog Header

Whatever you do, exploring your options on how to make a blog header is a great idea. A good header can work wonders for your blog design. It’s probably the main thing you should do to kick up your web aesthetic.

Just remember, there’s no rush.

You can build and start promoting your blog with a simple default text heading. There’s nothing wrong with going bare. I see too many new bloggers get caught up with things like headers and delay their blog launch for weeks in the process.

No one is running to see your blog, yet…

Set up your wp theme. Put up some articles and GET it open. You can worry about fine-tuning and learning how to make a blog header later, when you begin to see traffic.

There are three important things to keep in mind if you’re going to use a manual directory submission service:

1. Pricing
2. Reliability
3. Flexibility

You want backlinks. I want backlinks. We all want backlinks!

Backlinks help pave the road to top search engine rankings and organic traffic, which in turn leads to riches.

There are many great ways to get quality one-way backlinks and one of those ways is by submitting your site/blog to web directories. We all know this but do we really want to sit down and do it?

Do We?

Of all the methods for creating links, directory submissions aren’t technically that difficult. If you have list of directories, you can submit to them pretty quickly. A couple of hours of week and you can build a nice batch of links pointing to your site. That is, if your submissions get approved and listed.

Or you can use a manual directory submission service. This is where a little bit of money can go a long way for your online business.

Why Manual Directory and NOT Auto-Software?

Forget automatic. Just forget it. I’m not saying auto-submitters don’t have their place in the spectrum of online marketing. But “manual” is the buzzword because manual submission is ideal for building a natural flow of quality backlinks that are listed in the RIGHT categories. There are many one way link building services out there but very few that do this right.

If you use some cheap software or service that promises the moon, you won’t get much in return.

Most of the time you’ll probably just get shitty links on shitty directories or end up building way too many garbage links that won’t do much of anything for your rankings. Do you think having your “Fitness” blog auto-submitted to the “Financial” category of some low-quality directory will takes you places? Think again.

It’s just better to submit to directions manually. One by one.

It’s also better to favor good directories over useless ones.

Manual Directory Submission Services

When I think of solid manual directory submission services, just a couple come to mind while only one really stands out. Those two would be Directory Maximizer and Submit Edge.

We haven’t used SE so, nothing against them, but our fave would be DM.

Mind you, even manual directory submission isn’t completely 100% manual. They use scripts and sticky keys and all that magic stuff to speed up the process. If I opened my own submission firm – I would do everything possible to facilitate serving our customers and increase profits. Custom scripts and all. It’s all good.

The important thing is that it’s done RIGHT and done in manner that is perfectly white hat and search engine friendly. A nice steady flow of quality links.

Our Fave Manual Directory Submission Service?

Easy answer. Directory Maximizer. Click here to read my DM review and tips for better rankings.

DM has got everything we need and does the work very well. What more can you ask for?

DM is completely free to register. You can explore the inside tools and start entering your site information and descriptions without spending a penny. You only pay when you actually use them to submit your site.

Other Manual Directory Submission Options?

You could opt for Fiverr which always has a stream of manual directory submission service providers. Just make sure you read reviews and hire someone that has a proven track record.

The thing with Fiverr is you have to order a la carte versus DM – which keeps your site info, orders and reports in one cozy place.

You can also find and buy lists of Directories on Fiverr or check out this list by Robin Good and put your little brother or sister to work.

You can hit oDesk and hire someone that specializes in Directory Submissions. That won’t cost you much and helps get the job done.

Get More Out of Manual Directory Submission

Here’s are some important tips to get more juice out of your directory submissions.

Always mix up your site name and titles. Same goes for your site descriptions. You don’t ideally want to submit the same title and description to a few hundred directories. Mixing it up is always a good idea.

Also, some directories (not all) will give your approved site listing a dedicated page. Others will just list you in their database, in which case, you’ll have to search for your link which will probably end up on some category page with hundreds of other links.

Pay particular attention to your dedicated directory backlink pages. Compile them into a text doc and make sure you ping them using Ping-O-Matic or PingDevice. You can also take it one step further and use a service like Backlinks Indexer to squeeze more out of each link. This will ensure your backlinks get picked up quicker and you’ll avoid being overlooked by search engines.

I really hope this article helps your online business and SEO. There’s no reason why you should put off adding manual directory submission into the linkbuilding mix. It can really help broaden your link profile and prove to be quite beneficial to your end goal:

Better Rankings, more Traffic and lotsa’ Money!

Why start your own web business when you can nose your way onto a plush corporate payroll? It may not sound like the most glamorous or liberating option, but those regular paychecks can start looking quite attractive to the starving artist.

Almost every business needs a blog to succeed these days: whether the purpose is to boost employee moral or draw in new customers through search engines.

New job openings are created every day as these corporate entities catch up with the modern Internet age. Don’t miss your chance to get your foot in the door!

Do You Have What it Takes?

Web business and corporate blogging is a whole lot different than blogging for casual or personal reasons.

Employers are looking for professional, deadline-oriented writers that are comfortable dealing with red tape and bureaucracy.

Teamwork is usually a large part of the deal: you may have to work with editors, PR experts, developers, marketers, and other writers – all without missing a beat.

Corporations need writers who are passionate about their products, informed about their company, and careful about public image.

It may sound like a lot of work, and it is, but the structure of corporate life is part of the strange allure.

Become a Professional Blogger and Get Paid!

Everybody wants to make money blogging, but these writers often get stuck on the entrepreneurial dream as opposed to realistic goals of a sustainable income.

Corporate blogging positions are difficult to scout out because the openings are rarely advertised to the public. But you can find success if look in the right places. Draw on your previous work experience to narrow down companies in your field of expertise – communicate with these businesses to discover any potential openings.

If all else fails (or you get tired of hunting) you could simply stalk a few public online job boards and outsourcing hubs likes oDesk for openings of interest. You just may earn the sweetest job of your writing career if you can produce a few stellar examples of your work – even without experience.

Internet job boards are a terrible place to look for local employment, but thankfully blogging is a globally relevant career.

Although writing for an established web business means that you’re working on somebody else’s clock, the benefits are certainly amazing.

Stability, reliable paychecks, oversight and feedback…

It’s no wonder that the corporate world attracts so many talented and innovative bloggers!

There are others avenues you can take if you’re looking for how to become a blogger and get paid in the process. Share you ideas and experiences in the comments section below.

We’ve been using Directory Maximizer for some time and we gotta tell ya – we don’t plan on using any other manual directory submission service any time soon.

They’re just a great company that does what it promises to do, at a very good cost to boot!

Don’t waste your time typing “directory maximize scam” into Google, because you’re quickly bound to fit this service into your Internet marketing arsenal.

You can register for DM at no cost to get a feel for their service.

Here’s our official Directory Maximizer review.

Directory Maximizer – The Good Stuff!

Here’s what I personally appreciate about their service:

1. Some of the best pricing around at a sweet $0.14 per submission. That’s $14 for 100 manual directory submissions. Hard to find better from a solid reputable company. Minimum order is only $5 – take that Fiverr! Ha ha!

2. Versatile submitting options. You can submit one shot or have them submit 100 a month for you. We mix it up depending on the site we’re promoting. I think, right now, we have it set for 100/month on 3 sites with some one-shot orders for several mini-niche sites.

3. Up to 20 Titles/Descriptions per Site. You heard correct. You can input different titles and descriptions to vary your anchors. I usually start by putting in 5 to 10, then adding if needed. I highly recommend using all your available slots. So easy and invaluable!

4. My all time favorite DM feature, they keep track of everything! Whether you do a one-time order based on PageRank or do monthly orders, they keep track of which directories you’ve submitted to so you never submit twice. You never have to worry about a thing and with 1000+ directories (which are continually updated) you’ve got lots to play with.

5. No Hype! They’re just a straight-up manual directory submission service. No extra sales hype or up-selling or pointless emails. They even refund submissions that didn’t work for whatever reason. The refund is credited to your account as MX dollars that you can use later.

Directory Maximizer – The Bad!

- One bad thing that I can think of is their reporting. They do offer reports on which directories they’ve submitted to but don’t really have a nice clean list of URLs that contain your link. They need to fix this. I’ve spoken to them a few times and the option they DO offer is to email them and ask for a sample list of URLs with your link. They will be more than happy to send you a sample report. I’ve done this a few times and they always oblige.

I would rather have all my URLs/reports in my account area for review and this is probably the only thing that bugs me about DM. That’s it.

- Okay. I also wish they would ping or offer an option to help index backlinks. This is not really a negative as they don’t advertise this. It’s just something I would like to see built into Directory Maximizer.

- Also, each submission doesn’t guarantee a listing. That’s not REALLY a bad thing because that’s what manual directory submission is all about.

The important thing is they do submit your site to directories and you do get real listings and those equal great backlinks. Some directories take weeks to list you, which is all good – we’re all for a trickle of backlinks spread over time.

<h2Email Confirmations!

You can ask Directory Maximizer to take care of them for you, which is nice if you want a turnkey experience. We actually handle it ourselves because it only takes a few seconds and they tend to stand out like a sore thumb in your inbox.

Many of the directories use similar scripts so you get used to their email formatting and confirmation procedures.

Will Directory Maximizer Help My Rankings?

Short answer is YES. DM has actually helped us maintain and slowly increase our rankings for SOME real authority keywords and that’s with extreme competition. You have to be patient though and make sure you vary your title and description text for maximum results.

They submit to a nice variety of directories with a sweet range of pagerank. You can even select which PageRank range of directories you would like to submit to.

With our big blogs, we don’t discriminate with PageRank because every link counts when you’re playing to win those big-time keyword rankings.

However for smaller niche sites, we only need a handful of quality links to get on the map. In this instance, we’ll filter it down to only PR2+ or PR1+ directories and hit them with a 50-to-100 directory submission order.

We also make double-sure to ping and/or energize any of our approved DM submission links.

Just like any service or marketing tool, you have to vary it up for real results. Make sure you incorporate some article marketing, social bookmarking and blog commenting into the mix and the rankings will come.

Hope this Directory Maximizer review helps.
