  Your phone can be your linux computer now that Canonical has announced Ubuntu for high-end Android smartphones.

• Getty Images API

  Known as Connect by Getty Images, its designed to give web developers built-in access to Getty Images stock photo collection, as well as the search meta data associated with them.

• Niggas in Paris at Midnight
  

  NSFW without headphones. What an awesome mash-up between Jay-Z and Kanye's Niggas in Paris mashed into Midnight in Paris by Woody Allen. Hat tip to kottke.org.

• Blackberry Playbook OS 2.0

  Research In Motion today releases an update for the Blackberry Playbook that finally adds a native e-mail application, among other new features, ten months after the tablet's initial launch.

• Things Cloud

  Things is a great to-do application, but its lack of cloud integration made me eventually switch to Wunderlist... now I have a reason to give it another go :)

• Apache 2.4

  Apache Software Foundation releases version 2.4 of its HTTP server software, the first major release since 2005.

• Google iPhone Tracking

  Wall Street Journal reports that Google and others are "bypassing the privacy settings of millions of people using Apple Inc.'s Web browser on their iPhones and computers - tracking the Web-browsing habits of people who intended for that kind of monitoring to be blocked."

• Gatekeeper for OS X Mountain Lion Explained

  We are fans of the kids over at Panic. Steven doesn't blog much, but when he does, it is always worth a read. If you are concerned that Mountain Lion is going to force everyone to sell their apps through the Mac Appstore, go read his post. If you are even remotely interested what is coming up in OS X, go read his post.

• Mac OS X Mountain Lion

  Less than a year after Lion was released through Mac App Store, Apple is bringing more of the iOS experience to the desktop with Mountain Lion. This looks more like a "Snow Leopard" like incremental update, with the majority of the information centring on bringing iOS apps to OSX.
