As we are into import and export business, 2009 was not a very good year for us. I think most of us. Although we have buyers but they simply cannot pay on time, missed deadlines with the bank. We had a problem also picking up our goods from the port, often missing deadlines in sending documents. In general, the scheduling was not really accurate thus time and money were wasted.

Good that we have found out about Online Appointment Scheduling Software wherein our buyers and customers can directly visit our website and enter their own schedule.

The Gift

I received this from an email and was so touched.

A married lady was expecting a birthday gift from her husband. For many months she had admired a beautiful diamond ring in a showroom, and knowing her husband could afford it, she told him that was all she wanted.

As her birthday approached, this lady awaited signs that her husband had purchased the diamond ring.

Finally, on the morning of her birthday, her husband called her into his study.
Her husband told her how proud he was to have such a good wife, and told her how much he loved her. He handed her a beautiful wrapped gift box. Curious, the wife opened the box and found a lovely, leather-bound Bible, with the wife's name embossed in gold.

Angrily, she raised her voice to her husband and said, 'With all your money you give me a Bible?' And stormed out of the house leaving her husband. Many years passed and the lady was very successful in business. She managed to settle for a more beautiful house and a wonderful family, but realized her ex-husband was very old, and thought perhaps she should go to visit him. She had not seen him for many years.

But before she could make arrangements, she received a telegram telling her that her ex-husband had passed away, and willed all of his possessions to her. She needed to come back immediately and take care of things.

When she arrived at her ex-husband's house, sudden sadness and regret filled her heart. She began to search through her ex-husband's important papers and saw the still new Bible, just as she had left it years before.

With tears, she opened the Bible and began to turn the pages. Her ex-husband had carefully underlined a verse, Matt 7:11, 'And if you, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Heavenly Father, who is in heaven, give what is good to those who ask Him?' As she read those words, a tiny package dropped from the back of the Bible. It had a diamond ring, with her name engraved on it -- the same diamond ring which she saw at the showroom. On the tag was the date of her birth, and the words. 'LUV U ALWAYS'.

How many times do we miss God's blessings, because they are not packaged as we expected?

Being Pregnant and Raising a Child

Baby is a God's blessing. I could still remember the day I became a mom. As I was under C-Section, it was quite hard in the beginning to attend to Francis, my first-born. I had a lot of questions in my mind, so excited about all issues in raising a child. I bought many books related to parenting, searched the internet, asked other mommies even the pedia got bombarded with so many questions even sending text messages at night.

Now I have raised 3 kids and still, previous experience is not enough. Good that I have found a forum about Baby and child that comes very handy when I have questions to ask. This is really helpful especially for a working mom like me whose time to attend to my kids is only at night and during weekends.

I have recommended this blog as well to my office mate Judith who is currently pregnant and about to give birth soon. This has become her daily bible everytime she has questions about her pregnancy!

Date wth Alvin and the Chipmunks 2

My kids have been saying since December 2009 about watching Alvin and the Chipmunks 2. They kept on bugging me about going to SM Cinema but during Christmas holidays, it was still time for the MMFF films.

Last Saturday night, I told the kids that we will watched the movie the following day. To my surprise, they woke up early, changed to their favorite character shirt and started to wake us up! Lol! They were already ready while we were still sleeping! Sobrang excited talaga!

We left the house around lunch time, drove to SM Bacoor. Our house is just 5 mins away from the mall. It was a date with the kids, this time no yaya! I was happy seeing my kids enjoyed the movie especially Christoph as he is scared cinema.. First comment from him was: Why is it so dark in here?

This is the other side of me - collection of perfume bottles! I have roughly 100 different scents already, its a mixture of mine and hubby of course! Once the bottle is half empty, I would stop using them and switch to another one.

My next wish list is Chanel No. 5. Back in college, this is the first perfume I received from a suitor. So friends and relatives, if you are thinking of giving me a gift, you know what I like! Bongga! Sana makalusot...

Best Cake Supplier in Cavite

Preparing a party is one of my favorite topic to search on the net. hobby but due to my heavy work in the office, I only do that in my past time. I have friends who are party planners but I cannot afford them so I choose to prepare everything on my own.

Cake suppliers are sprouting everywhere. But if its your party, you want only the best and the cheapest! Of course, I am a budgetarian mommy in terms of party.

So far, I can only refer 2 cake suppliers in Cavite. 1. Recipes and Magic and The Cake Farm.

RECIPES AND MAGIC
Ms. Janet the owner though I haven't met her yet but she is nice and very helpful. She would respond to my text right away. I ordered Alexa's cake 2 weeks before the party and still accommodated us. I gave her the design I like via email and she created as beautiful as in the sample. The cake was really yummy!! It was just right in all aspect!

I ordered from Ms. Pie a few years back for my boss. I have ordered 2 kinky cakes. I will post it here soon!

There is only one important resolution that is important for me this year. I have been doing this for like 5 years and every year always in vain.

Oh well, I WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT.. huhuhu.. I have been fat for 5 straight years. Ang bigat na ng body ko! Kapoy ba uy!

Today is my first day of exercise, to start with, together with hubby we were walking around the village. Its a good start I would say .. because I dont feel tired within the rest of the day! Sana tuloy tuloy... wish me luck!

Camera Charger

Since December, I have been looking for my camera charger. Many special events happened in December but I was not able to document them nicely. Its such a pity. I was just using my blackberry, quality is not so good!

I told already our househelpers to look for it. First stop - toy boxes. Not there. Next, my cabinet hopefully hopefully!

My kids love Christmas! They kept on saying.. Merry Merry Christmas.. I love Santa. I want to go to German Club..Happy Birthday Papa Jesus.. I want to go to the North Pole.. where are my gifts? Bla blah... these are the mostly used words of my kids these days!

I have so much to blog about but still finding time to concentrate. I thought I would have more time to blog as we dont have work from the 20th till January 4. But then again, I was wrong! I cant even open my email and just rely on my blackberry emails.

So many important events. Christmas parties. Alexa's 1st birthday. My husbands 36th birthday. Our wedding anniversary. Christmas Day. My mom visited us for Christmas from Cagayan de Oro. Today is Boyets birthday!

I went to RFC's party shoppe and I could not find any Strawberry Shortcake pinata. So I just bought a Barbie design pinata and as Melbert to make a strawberry shortcake.

Childrens Nikolaus Party at the German Club

Last weekend, we went to German Club to celebrate Childrens Party with Nikolaus. Boys were happy seeing other kids. Entrance fees for members is Php 390/person while free of charge for kids.

Entertainment offered: face painting, bubble show, magic show by Rufus.

Kids enjoyed the party so much especially when Santa came out.
