Our theme for this week is landscape. Yesterday, I went to Manhattan on the Metro North and decided to take some pictures of Grand Central for this week's theme. I wish I would've taken my zoom lens instead of my 50mm.

This year I joined a 52 Challenge group with some wonderful and talented photographers. I am very excited. Our theme for this week was New.

I chose to photograph my trusty old Asics...since my New Year's Resolution is to run for my health. Throughout the year I will train for a half marathon and for the Spartan Race.

It has been over a year since I have posted here. So much has happened in the last year. I now have a baby boy who is 2 months and Little D is turning 5 soon. Besides, working on my photography and jewelry designs, I am working out hard (Bikram, Tracy Anderson and running) in preparation for a few races coming up. More posts and pictures coming soon.

Mis amigos / My friends

One of Little D's favorite books: Mis Amigos / My Friends by Taro Gomi the Spanish/English version. The simple and vivid illustrations along with the storyline makes the book entertaining and delightful for all ages. Throughout the book the main character explains what she has learned from her various friends: the gorilla, the ant, the owl and many others. She ends the story with "I learned to love from a friend like you. Aprendi como amar de un amigo como tu."
