On 29th Nov, Poojya Guruji was requested once again at the Mega Gita Jayanti Programs for his discourse. He talked about the necessity of Sraddha being Sattwic. The focussed and inspiring talk was highly appreciated.

Gita Jayanti Celebrations

The city of Indore has a unique tradition of celebrating Gita Jayanti in a grand way. Mahatmas from all over the country converge to the city for a week long celebration. One of the programs is at Agrasen Dham (Footi Kothi), which is inaugurated by Poojya Guruji every year. This year also on 25th Nov evening he lighted the lamp and gave the opening pravachan to the hundreds of devotees.

After Poojya Guruji, Poojya Swamini Amitanandaji gave a short discourse on Mam anusmar Yudhya cha; and then Poojya Swamini Samatanandaji also gave a short and inspiring talk.

Birthday Celebrations of Sw Samatanandaji

On 15th Nov, the birthday of Swamini Samatanandaji was celebrated with great enthusiasm by Balvihar children and Ashram inmates. The day started with special Rudrabhisheka, then was the evening full of fun & frolic. Children started with Hanuman Chalisa, then there were games, bhajans, stories etc. The day ended with special Bhajans in the night.

Sanyas Deeksha Day of Poojya Guruji

On 10th Oct was the Sanyas Deeksha Day of Poojya Guruji. Special programs were organized at the Ashram. Evening time in a special satsang there was chanting of Stotras, singing of Bhajans and a discourse by Poojya Guruji. Later P.Guruji garlanded his guruji Param Poojya Swami Chinmayanandaji and Bhagwan Sankaracharyaji and did Aarti.

Dashera Celebrations

On 28th Sept was the Vijaya Dashami or the Dashera day. This is also the Ashram Day. Vedanta Ashram was established on this day 14 years back.

Poojya Guruji performed the special Rudrabhisheka in the morning; this was followed by special puja of Shivji on the ashram terrace. Later there was Bhiksha offered by Lalita Dhune and Suman Dikshit.

Saraswati Pujan

On the Ashtami of Navratras, Saraswati Pujan is done, when the students keep their books at the feet of Goddess Saraswati and invoke her blessings.

As such Poojya Guruji, and all the Ashram Mahatmas, and also all the Gita class students kept their nicely wrapped books and did the puja.

The ten days Ganesh Festival is celebrated at Indore also in a nice way. The festival starts on Ganesh Chaturthi day and concludes on Anant Chaturdashi day, when processions with nice jhankis is taken out in the city.

At Vedanta Ashram also where we have Bhagwan Ganeshji in our Gangeshwar Mahadev temple, special puja were conducted.

Janmashtami Celebrations

Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great devotion and enthusiasm at the Vedanta Ashram on 15th Aug 2009.

The day started with the chanting of Vishnu Sahasranama Chanting, followed by a talk by Poojya Guruji on Avatara. Later in the evening the program started with the Aarti of Bhagwan Sri Gangeshwar Mahadev. Then there was a fascinating program presented by Balvihar children. There was Fancy Dress, where children dressed themselves as Rishis, Gods & devotees. They also presented lovely bhajans and dances. Sh Manohar Agarwal presented few jokes. Later there was the Matki-Phod program which children also enjoyed a lot. Later in the night there was the Vishnu Sahasranama Archana, followed by the Janma of Bhagwan at dot 12. There was the Maha-Aarti and prasad.
