Q: I recently purchased and received some of your Blue Mountain whole bean coffee. How long should coffee stay fresh unopened and what is the best way to store it?

A: Beans can stay fresh for about four weeks and the best storage is in an airtight ceramic container. If you plan to keep it longer you can also store it in the freezer. Never store coffee in the refrigerator since the moisture will deteriorate the coffee rapidly.

This has been another question submitted from a customer.

We made some corrections to our coffee shipping rates to Canada. Thanks to feedback from a loyal customer in Quebec we discovered that our shipping rules were not correct and too high for our great group of customers to the North. Now ordering four pounds or bags of coffee will only cost $35 to anywhere in Canada.

We only use the USPS since we found that UPS regularly charges import fees to the customer upon delivery which on top of the shipping expense we believe is unfair to our Canadian customers. Ordering one bag will cost $28.

Just grind your fresh gourmet coffee, place it in the reusable filter and then brew as you would normally. K-Cups are very convenient but the coffee quality is not ideal. K-Cup coffee is prepackaged, was roasted months ago and has been sitting in a warehouse and retailer shelves deteriorating which prohibits the enjoyment of a great cup of coffee.
