Los indígenas de ese entonces creian que las explosiones eran castigos de los dioses y de esta manera hacían sacrificios humanos para calmar la furia de estos.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Atracción turística a solo 23 km de Managua, Carretera Masaya-Granada, con acceso pavimentado hasta el crater.
