A recent ad campaign was launched by the Alliance for Climate Protection called We Can Solve It. Led by Nobel Laureate former Vice President of USA Al Gore, the campaign shows a non-partisan discussion about the climate crisis. Some interesting pairs are shown in the advertising.

Angel Covers: Angel Covers is a volunteer run organization dedicated to caring for orphaned and destitute children around the world. We believe that each and every child deserves access to quality medical care, education, nutrition, and housing. Through our programs that help create self-sufficient programs, $20 would provide food for a child for about half the year indefinitely. You can see some of the recent successes of these programs in their blog.

Not For Sale Campaign: 27 million people in slavery worldwide today, over 50% of them children. Not For Sale works to educate about, expose and eradicate modern day slavery, because no one should be for sale.

SIGN, the Surgical Implant Generation Network. We go where patients with broken bones have no treatment options, other than to be confined to bed for months. We train local surgeons and equip them with surgical instruments and implants so that they can heal needy patients in a matter of days, not months. $20 donation would provide surgeons at a hospital overseas with a SIGN technique manual - a way to make sure that these surgeons use the correct methods to give their patients the best treatment.

EPIC CHANGE, Mama Lucy is the headmistress and founder of a school in Tanzania for over 170 students in six grade levels. She uses income from her chicken farm to supplement tuition fees. With your $20, she can work magic. They are looking to raise $250,000 to build a new school that will include a computer lab, library, cafeteria, playground, classrooms for grades 1 to 7, and the installation of solar panels for power.

Education And More: Has a mission to help educate the children and reduce poverty in Guatemala. They are an all volunteer organization and making a big difference in the lives of the students and their families and the schools of the indigenous of western Guatemala.

Free Rice gives 21 billion grains of rice!

According to a UN article released today, over 21 billion grains of rice has been generated by popular UN-backed Internet game - Free Rice. The game is a vocubulary trivia game where you collect grains of rice. The rice is then provided to developing countries, back by United Nations programs

Recipients of the rice include refugees in Bangladesh, Ugandan schoolchildren, and pregnant and nursing women in Cambodia.
