Generally desktop notes software provide help in knowing the to-do things, reminders and related information on that. There are really lots of software there on net to download for this work. If you are using windows, until in XP there is no tool to do that.

Although if you want to download from net, You will see many of the commercial. Well, to be true, we can buy commercial ones to support them. However, these are not worth buying it. OK. So, here we present a very small, tiny software called Memento. Its installation size is only 345K. It does what a simple “desktop notes” software to do. You can create notes. You can delete them. You can display them around your desktop. “always on top” mode sticks the window to be on top most of any windows. This is particularly useful when you want to have an eye on an important note. It does not do any magic or colorful things on its sticky notes windows. They are simply square type windows with yellow color background.

You can search inside of any notes. Currently it does not support searching all notes at the same time. However, this can be done, if you use Google desktop search. Memento has a Google Desktop Search add-on for Memento.

How to play youtube FLV and other FLV files better and smoother

There are lots of websites that allow download youtube.com videos into your hard disk. By default, there are no players inside Windows to play .flv format. FLV format is the file format supported by youtube. While you search on net, you will get some commercial flv players as well as some free players.

"FLV Player 1.3.3" (as on July 2nd, 2007) is such a free player. It is a very lite weight player. The file size is less than 1.5 MB. You can find more information at http://www.download.com/FLV-Player/3000-2139_4-10467081.html we know that youtube videos are generally smaller in height and width.

Problem
This FLV Player software plays the video exactly the way when played in the same size. Sometimes, you may want to play the video little larger. Here comes the problem with this software. It does not smoothen when the windows size is doubled. It pixelates.

Solution
Here we would like to give a solution to play flv smoother and better looking. There is a code http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Mega_Codec_Pack.htm called “K-lite Mega Codec” which can enable Windows Media Player to play FLV format files. With Windows Media Player you can the youtube flv or any other flv videos smoother and better. This is a freeware codec. You can download this and install it. After the installation your Windows Media Player will have the ability to play FLV files.

We do not promise that the video looks very good in big screen. However, when the size is doubled or little bigger, you can expect WMP to do good.

WebShots is a useful download when you need to make a screenshot of a web page. Screen shots can be made image outputs as JPG, BMP, GIF and PNG file formats. Most of the computer users generally use "prnt Scrn" key capture a web page and then they use their own favorite image editors to create images from them. But in this method you will be getting only the screen shot of what you look at the monitor.

Sometimes, You may need a full length screenshot of a web page , from top header to bottom footer. Here comes the use of Webshots tool.

We personally recommend you to capture any web page as PNG format. Although the size is little larger than jpg, the quality of PNG is greater and nice looking.
