Written in the Pinyin Roman letter system it would be: "xin nian kuai le!"

The date of February 7th is actually the first day of the new year according to the Lunar Calendar. 2008 is the Year of the Rat. If you were born in 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996 - you were born under the sign of the rat. In case you are feeling offended (I tell my Chinese friends that Americans generally find offense at being called a rat), according to ancient tradition, those born in this year are associated with the traits of being clever, bright, courageous, enterprising, social and family minded, among others. If you want to discover more, there's a wealth of information online.

Community Service/Leaf Raking

Several members of the International Student Club, joined with students from BMI and TBW participated in a community leaf raking project this past Saturday.
